Jose Ignacio is often referred to as the Hamptons of South America. This simple but sophisticated town is packed with beautiful people during January and February and very quiet the rest of the year. It is a great combination between rolling hills farm land and beautiful beaches with sand dunes; the sky is immense and it creates a special effect when combined with the southern ocean.
This 5200 sq/mt beach front property is located 3km from the center of the town holds spectacular views from every room of each house, main house (3 bedrooms-suites) and guest house (2 bedrooms-suites). Both houses are fully equipped and may be rented individually suiting different clientele needs. The main and guest house are ONLY available for rent from the end of December until end of February, the rest of the time only the guest house is for rent. Sitting benches and hang out areas can be found throughout the property, including a bong fire area and small Acacias forests.

My Wife and I stayed here with our kids and had the most incredible vacation! Jose Ignacio is the perfect combination of cultured life and small town charm. The beaches are spectacular, restaurants world class and the ocean and lagoon offer something for everyone to enjoy (especially Kitesurfers!!!). Ignacio is a true local, and was very generous in sharing his knowledge of the area making for a wonderful stay. The house was that of a family that lives there. Warm, inviting and personal. It is just a short walk to the beach and very close to the lagoon as well. Close to town, yet private and quiet. This house is a wonderful choice to experience the unique beauty of Uruguay and Jose Ignacio!Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Rates
The main and guest house are available for rent together ONLY from the end of December until end of February. Rate for the period $30000(Jan);$18000(Feb)- Half month also possible. The rest of the year the guest house is always available. Rates change according to season. Hot weather with social activities, Dec-Feb, Hi season Nice weather Mid Oct/nov ; March/Mid April, Mid season cooler weather the rest of the time, low season

Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: After living and travelling throughout the world, my wife and I decided to build our home in this place. I grew up in Buenos Aires and was always familiar with the beauty of the region and when I introduced my new Yorker wife to the area it didn’t take us long to realize that it was a good place to call home. We have been living here with our three young daughters for the past five years and are very pleased with our decision. I do have to travel very frequently to New York and Indonesia to take care of our women’s accessories wholesale business. However, I must say that the commute to NY is a very pleasant overnight flight with hardly any time difference. We enjoy surfing, kite surfing, horseback riding, deserted beaches and peace all of which are very easily found around here.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
Spectacular views from every room and outside. No need to get in the car to go anywhere, can hang out by the pool overlooking the ocean and light house, can walk around the property, can walk to the little shelter on the beach. All of what creates a complete desconnection but yet if looking for fancy restaurants, social events, see and be seen; it doesn't take more than a 15min walk down the beach or a two minute car ride.
