We arrived early to find a huge home nestled in a clean, friendly neighborhood in the center of all area attractions. The house was roomy, clean, and had anything one would need in a vacation home. It was full of helpful hints such as: directions to area attractions, do's and don'ts for all appliances, notes posted about extra mittens and gloves, etc.. The hospitality of Debbie, the owner was top-notch. She bent over backwards to make sure everything was in place and we had all that we need while visiting Colorado Springs. The house has many extras such as: games, exercise essentials, lots of blankets, and towels, and space for a great time. We were not able to see a rainbow, but we did see beautiful deer, a breath-taking view of the mountains, and most of all, had a great time. We will definitely be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We recently spent a week at the Rainbow House. We were there during the spring... and were lucky enough to experience a typical spring week in Colorado, with a variety of weather... the temps ranged from the mid teens to the mid 60's! We even had a snow storm! The home is in a beautiful location. Very close to some great hiking trails and within 15 minutes of most other areas of the Springs. With spectacular views. My daughter enjoyed some amazing sunrises, and the city lights were beautiful after dark. We were in the Springs for my daughters wedding. Which meant we had lots of family and friends coming in from out of the area. We rented both the top and bottom units and we were able to sleep 12 people very comfortably, with everyone having their own private spaces. We were even able to entertain some extra family (about 25 people) after the wedding. The home is well stocked with cooking supplies and the barbecues came in very handy! The hot tub and wood stove made it feel like home. I highly recommend this home if you are looking to sleep a large group! Very comfortable and very clean.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

The views from the front and back of the house were amazing. The mountains during the day and the city lights at night. The neighborhood also seemed very safe and quiet which we liked. I think you are spot on for the price you charge and the amenities that come with the house along with the great location. I could see by the guest book that most weekends are filled there which is great and we could see why. The 60 inch TV in the living room was amazing! We had a rental car which helped us out a lot, but if you didn't have one you could easily take a taxi to wherever you want to go in CO Springs. Our trip was made so much better because of the house. Just make sure that when you rent this house you treat it with respect and clean up after yourself. If you can do that you will have a great time.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We were attending a Military Welcome Home Celebration and the dates kept changing, it was awesome that reserving the house was so easy and the property manager/owner was so nice, graceious and willing to help in any way possible. We were looking for a quiet yet spacious place for three families to meet, enjoy each others company and yet giving everyone space to be with their individual famlies. This house worked great. We spent time together and apart. The guys were able to enjoy being away from the Army and yet close enough to report in when required. The location was close to all the stores and major bi-ways and yet in a quiet place at the bottom of the mountain. In less then 5 minutes we were at an area where we could take a medium to hard hike.Five minutes the other direction we were at a Wal Mart where we did our grocery shopping. When it was time for everyone to leave no one wanted to go. We even asked to stay extra nights. I have already recommended this vacation home to family, friends, and co-workers.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family and another family rented this wonderful home while we were waiting on our Soldiers to return to Fort Carson from their deployment. We arrived on Saturday February 9, 2013 and due to delays, our boys did not get in until the 13th. I was so glad that we had decided to rent this house. Our two families had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the roominess of the house. We also enjoyed being able to cook meals and enjoy each other's company in a "Home" like setting. It was important to us to bring our boys home into a "homey" setting. Renting this house was the best decision we could have made. The boys loved coming back to the house and feeling the comfort of home. While we were waiting, we enjoyed many of the activities that were close to the house. So much of Colorado Springs is easily reachable from this house. We went to the Garden of the Gods twice. On Sunday morning as I was driving down the hill, I was able to look over to the left and see the beautiful formations of the Gardens of the Gods. It was very nice. We enjoyed the short drive to Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City also. The zoo is also very close. I have never rented a private home before for vacation but after experiencing this house, I would definitely do it again. I would recommend this house (and have already) to anyone traveling to the Colorado Springs area. The owner is exceptional to work with. We had to change our dates 3 times due to the Army and she was so pleasant and understanding of our situation. The hot tub and the porches added to the tranquility. I would give it a 10+ on a scale of 1-10.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We recently stayed at the Rainbow House with some family friends visiting from overseas and we were all simply blown away by what an amazing property this is. The house looked great from the description, but was even nicer in person. It gave our guests a better impression of Colorado than we ever could have hoped for. First of all, it has an absolutely beautiful view from the front deck (and large living room window) looking out on Colorado Springs and the rolling plains. At night, you can sit back and relax in the living room with the wood fire and a fantastic view of all the lights twinkling away in the city. The window basically took the place of a television for us (although if you want to watch TV, there is also a huge 60" TV with DirectTV and Wii along with all kinds of other games in another room, which was great for the kids). We quickly discovered that the view of the mountains from the other side of the house is just as nice, and while we were admiring it, we noticed that there were about 4-5 deer hanging out in the yard next door. They were there on a daily basis and proved to be very entertaining for us city folk who aren't used to seeing wildlife so up close (we even saw two of them tussling with their antlers!). Located in the hills of southwest Colorado Springs, the Rainbow House is just a few minutes to all the surrounding attractions (Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, cliff dwellings, 7 falls, etc.). There are also plenty of restaurants and stores within a 5 min drive. The house has a great kitchen with all the necessities (and more), which was key since we prepared a lot of food. The hot tub on the back porch was also a pleasant surprise and very enjoyable after a day of touristy adventures. Everything about this house was simply perfect and we highly recommend it to anyone considering a trip to Colorado Springs. We hope to return in the summer and hopefully see some of the rainbows after which it is named. Thanks again, Debe!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We rented the house for a week in September. The day we arrived was a bit rainy. After putting our bags away we went out on the deck to enjoy the view of downtown Colorado Springs. To our surprise we found ourselves looking at a double rainbow! Our stay at the house was issue free. The location is great for getting into downtown Colorado Springs, as well as running, hiking and mountain biking (which is mainly why we were there). The house is only blocks from a connector to the Front Range Trail, which follows the river north and south through downtown. The furnishings were comfortable, and the house was clean and well maintained. Everything about the house was just right for our vacation. The next time we're in the Springs we plan on renting again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: This is a recent picture of us taken at Garden of the Gods Park. We love the Colorado Springs area. We are avid hikers and love to go for long bicycle rides.
Why the Owner Chose Colorado Springs:
The nature, views and natural scenery around Colorado Springs are unparalleled anywhere in the world. We moved here to be close to the mountains, in a small vibrant city with lots of sunshine and character. Our experience was so deeply touching that we could never forget the beauty of Colorado. We wish for you the same experience.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our home is one that large groups will fall in love with. It is the perfect place for multiple generations to gather and interact. There are 2 outdoor seating areas where guests can relax, talk and see sunsets, rainbows when available, city lights on one side and mountain views on the other. We have a basketball area, a Wii sports set up for multiple users, and lots of board games. We have a hot tub, 2 living rooms, one with fireplace and the other with a wood stove. We have an elliptical exercise machine and lots of nearby hiking. Besides all that; we love this home because of the families of deer that are always on the property. This makes us feel close to nature, and the does, bucks and babies have been our constant companions year round.
