We have had rain! Temperatures have dropped. Cool mountain nights.
Lincolnworks is a converted quilt shop in Historic Lincoln, NM. It isnewly remodeled into an efficiency apartment. A new bathroom with large shower and small kitchenette were completed in March 2012.
Wrap up in the provided quilts and rock the evening away. Perfect for those looking quiet serenity. Or open the windows for those cool breezes as you read, watch movies or converse. I have also installed a window a/c for those wanting icicles on the nose and toes!
We had decorated since these photos...very cozy.
No gas stations, no grocery stores but lots of history of Billy the Kid. Just steps from Lincoln,NM Billy the Kid Visitor center, our cottage allows guests to experience all the sights of Lincoln including the Historic Courthouse, Torreon, Tunstall Store, and other historical buildings. Even though we are remote and historic, we have art galleries and a bit of shopping!
Be sure to brings some snacks and drinks for your stay. We provide popcorn, a chocolate treat, and Starbucks coffee, and a couple bottles of water, along with enough ice for a couple of drinks. The freezer can accommodate a small bag of ice.
Depending on the day of the week, breakfast and lunch maybe available in Lincoln. Ask about that @ booking.
Lincoln is centrally located for Southern New Mexico adventures including White Sands, Carlsbad Caverns, or seasonal horse racing and skiing in nearby Ruidoso.

A delightful cottage gem right on the main street of historic Lincoln, NM! It is ideally located within walking distance of all the attractions of Lincoln, and boasts an ample front porch with accompanying double rockers to while away the hours to either people watch, to read your favorite book, or to unwind after the day's activities. The interior is fresh and clean, with thoughtful ammenities for your needs. The charming host answers all of your questions (and more!) and provides extra stories and history lessons. It is perfect for two people--whether for a honeymoon couple, or for a base-camp for exploring all of the sights in the Lincoln/Ruidoso area. I would recommend booking early for the busy summer tourist months and especially during the first weekend of August--Billy the Kid Pageant weekend, when Lincoln swells to capacity with all of the festivities. It is the perfect front-row seat! I can't wait to come back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.
