Accommodations: Two level House; In the first floor you will find an open plan kitchen-living room-dining room space, one bedroom and a spacious bathroom –with a huge bath tub. The second floor hosts a big master bedroom with a chimney as well as a little kids bedroom, and a couple of terraces from where to admire the spectacular surroundings.
La casita blanca – stands as a haven of tranquility and peace in what is probably the last untouched valley of Lake Atitlan. Located in the outskirts of quaint Santa Cruz -the only road free town on the Lake basin- it has a lovely lush garden from where you can enjoy a gorgeous view of the Lake and the volcanoes, and breath taking rock mountains and cliffs on either side.
Built as a mix of Spanish traditional and modernism. Furniture, doors, bathroom fittings and lots of other details were salvaged from demolished colonial buildings. It is an independent ecological home, the house runs on solar power for lighting and electrical needs, uses water from a nearby spring, has facilities to recycle and compost garbage.

It is a 10 minute walk to my little environmental hotel, Islaverde –www.islaverdeatitlan.com- where you will be able to enjoy gorgeous beach front gardens, a little dock from where to swim or get boat rides, a lake front restaurant decorated with hanging bromeliads –serving world class organic cuisine-, internet access, sauna, open air hot tub, massage services, healing treatments and yoga classes.

About the owner: It was a dream come true, worked for many years in the world of finance, which keep me traveling and living abroad in the true Latino America.
