The price for the house is very fair. The location is great. It is roughly in the middle of the keys. There isn't much on Conch Key itself, but Marathon is a short drive away, and there are lots of restaurants, etc there. It was great being right on the bay. The sunset was beautiful! We did some snorkeling around the dock and saw lots of fish and lobster. We also caught a fair number of fish off the dock. The house was VERY clean. It's not luxurious, but it was everything we needed, and you can't beat the price. There were only a few downsides, and they were very small issues. There were only 3 washcloths. Otherwise there were lots of towels and extra blankets. It would be great if they had beach chairs and a small cooler guests could use. I imagine a lot of people fly here, so it would be great not to have to buy those and leave them behind. We weren't able to use the kayaks during our stay (they had cracked). That was a disappointment as we are avid kayakers and were the area would have been great to kayak. Otherwise it was a great trip. The house is exactly as pictured and very clean! The owner and caretaker were very helpful and easy to work with.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Awesome little house! Views are unbelievable, and the upper deck is a sunset party waiting to happen. The place was tidy and very clean. Just a short drive to anything you need in the keys, but out of the way enough to be peaceful and quiet. If you fish, bring your gear or you'll be upset with yourself. We caught fish right off the dock, and rented a boat and caught tons of fish within 1-2 miles of the house also. Everyone on the Key was most helpful & polite. Take a walk to the end of the street, and you can buy fresh lobster right off the boats too. I loved hearing the watermen heading out every morning at the break of day. Slept like a rock, with the sound of water and a nice breeze coming in through the window right above the bed. I almost cried when we had to leave & can't wait to head back. If you're coming in from the north (where else?) check out the Amtrak Autotrain and cut out the ugly drive on I-95, you won't regret it! Thanks again for a wonderful stay!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The accomadations were great, clean and well kept.. We were able to sit out on the dock and enjoy the tropical breezes and warmth. Saw some unusual fish swim by the dock. It was a very peaceful week and the neighbors were very friendly. We would definatly rent again probably in the summer so we could swim and snorkel and we have already told several friends about this cottage. We chose to buy groceries for the week for breakfast and dinner and ate out for lunches as it can get costly eating out every meal. .Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary trip and loved it! We spent most of our time on the dock, fishing. The marine life we saw was one of the highlights of our trip! Sea turtles, dolphins, sting rays and various fish. The house itself was very clean and had everything in it that we needed. The kitchen table has the best view in the house as it overlooks the ocean. Gorgeous! It's very conveniently located between Islamorada and Marathon. We drove down to Key West for a night and it was a very easy trip also. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a relaxing, economical getaway in the Keys!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The owners were very helpful and professional with the rental. The accommodations were what we expected, and we had everything we needed. Bonus was the ability to kite from a lot on the corner after we talked with the friendly gentleman that rents the end lot. Conch key is a special locationthat allows visitors to get a taste of key living they wont find on the larger keys.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and two children (4 and 6 years old) recently spent the most relaxing five days of our lives! Our mornings were spent at the end of the dock, eating breakfast and looking for fish. Our afternoons were spent swimming off the dock, kayaking and fishing. In the evening we'd fish and use the BBQ to cook our catch. Our dinners were eaten at the picnic table as we enjoyed the breathetaking views. Living in Florida we are used to the ocean and all it's wonders; however this home is a retreat and you feel like the only ones there. The home was well equipped with everything needed. In addition to the washer and dryer, there was a full bottle of detergent which was very convent having two kids. Since there was a large refrigerator we were able to fill it with everything needed for this week. The bed was very comfortable and our kids slept comfortably on the futon. The home was large enough so that we never felt on top of each other. Every afternoon our son said, "I want to swim in God's pool!" He was referring to the ocean. It was as smooth as a pool and we definitely felt close to God as we swam in His pool and while sitting on the deck watching the gorgeous sunset. There is a bait shop walking distance from the house. We caught different types of snapper, catfish and shark (very small). There were various types of other fish that swam near the dock. When we fished at night, there was never a problem with Mosquitos. Winn Dixie and Publix are about 20 minutes away so I recommend going to them beforehand. There is also a great restaurant, The Wreck, about 5-10 minutes south. They have an amazing jerk grouper sandwich. Craig's, which is about 30 minutes north, is known for their fish sandwiches too. A great place to snorel is tshe Starfish. It is $25pp and they take you out on a catamaran.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We are 3 long time friends that do a fishing trip every year in Marathon. This was our first time at this home. We were extremely happy with this property. It's location was prime for a boater getting offshore or getting to the back country. A 20 min run to Island Fish House too! The house is well appointed with everything you need this home was extremely clean, clean like our own home and very comfortable for us. Everything needed to prepare the perfect meal is in the kitchen, we enjoy cooking and it was such a great place to cook, grill out and enjoy the views. The two tiered deck is like nothing we have ever seen in the keys. The main deck of the house is huge. We had enormous amounts of fishing tackle and there was still a ton of room. Would be great for families! The best part is that the 2nd floor deck covers the first for great shade in the heat and best of all, when it rains. Even thru a massive rainstorm, we were able to stay on the deck and take in the beauty of a Keys Storm enjoying a drink as well. Were not relegated to move inside while ti rained! We docked a 22ft boat with place no problem. We fished from the dock at night, we took the kayak to the flats about 200yds away and fished! This home was perfect for experiencing the Keys!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Our trip to the Keys was great...Property owners were more than nice and friendly...Condo was a simple one bedroom for the wife and I , with fold down foton for the daughter and her friend...We also had a blow up air matress for our son to sleep on. The dock is a lot of fun and there is plenty to see and do from it..we watched seaturtles several times as well as the many baracooda and other tropical fish. Swimming around the dock is a must however be careful of two things..the current is swift at low and hi tide and second do not brush up agenst the pillers of the dock you will get barnical rash that is painful. If you fish you best bring a poll! The closest beach isnt too far however not the best. We suggest-- Baha Honda State park- for family fun at the beach. its a 15 min drive and costs $10 to get in but well worth it. On the atlantic side is a kid friendly beach that is fun to swim and snorkel in..we found several conch and saw all sorts of fun marine life.. no current to worry about there! ecxelent for snorkelingRecommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I had the best memorial weekend of my life along with my family. We stayed in the two condos with friends. We had breakfast in the deck while watching the sunrise, then we would go fishing (caught yellowtail snapper, mangrove, dolphin, Wahoo and black fin tuna. In the afternoon we would get in the water and relax or snorkel. Our kids caught mangrove and Barracuda in the dock. At night we had a BBQ in the deck and would fish tarpon from the dock, we caught a few, you see them swimming around. Late at night you can cast further away for different fish. I had a romantic kayak tour around the island with my wife. This place is fantasticRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Stayed at this property for a week in May. It has everything you would need for a great stay. Very clean and well maintained. Excellent views from the large outside deck and uptairs deck. Had the opportunity to see a manatee swim up close to the deck. Would recommend Captn. Dan across the street from the property for a great time fishing. He knows his fishing spots. Caught some yellowtail snapper and a large grouper. Would recommend this rental for a great time in the Florida Keys !!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We recently stayed in this adorable rental for an incredibly relaxing week. This was the perfect vacation for us with our toddler because we could enjoy his nap times sunbathing and swimming off the dock. The area was very tranquil and reminded us of vacationing in the caribbean but with the amenties and convenience of the continental US. The rental was clean and well kept. The washer/dryer also came in handy. The owners are extremely kind and generous people, always happy to answer any questions and working hard to make sure their guests are happy. We loved our stay so much that we didn't want to return to reality.... we hope to return again next year!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days and had a wonderful time. Although the photos show an entire house, but the rental is only half of it. I'm not sure how you would be able to sleep more then 4 people comfortably. The house is is kept neat. The bed is very uncomfortable. The view of sunrise and sunset each day is amazing. We did not get to meet the egret but did meet the manatee which was magical. I would certainly recommend this home if you are looking for a place to stay on a budget. Nice quiet neighborhood. Gorgeous view of the bay.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a great six day stay at this wonderful house, boating and fishing. It has everything you need - we especially appreciated the washer/dryer. The deck and dock are huge, and give a lot of room to spread out and enjoy the water. The second level of the deck is perfect to capture the sunsets to the west. If you are a boater, this location is perfect. It has quick access to both the ocean side and bay side, so if the wind is blowing on one side, the other side is typically nice. We did both and had good luck fishing on both sides. Conch Key has become my favorite key - it is charming, quiet, and the people are great!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed here for a week in February and it was lots of fun. The cottage is not fancy but clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. We also enjoyed interacting with a young white heron, whom the neighbors had named Henrietta, who came over just about every time we walked out on the dock. Very enjoyable.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/3

What you see in the photos and what the owners have described is exactly what you get. The location on Conch Key is half way between Key Largo and Key West, so we were always less than an hour and a half away from 200 of the freshest seafood restaurants in the world, and we took in as many as possible in our 12 days. The house itself is very comfortable and well equipped, but the real delight for us was the dock. Every morning we would have coffee on the dock and watch sting rays, barracuda, tarpan, snappers, green sea turtles, a manatee and an unbelievable number of very colourful small pinfish. The most fun was feeding our pet Snowy Egret (Harietta), who would join us every morning on the dock at 9am for a little snack. There are any number of deep sea charters, fresh sea food markets and restaurants available within a few miles of the house. This is a very quiet location for those who just want some R&R. How great it was to wake up in the morning and view this great expanse of crystal clear water and all the wildlife. Would I recommend this property? YOU BET!! It is the best value in the Keys to my way of thinking. Can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
