The house and amenities were everything that was advertised. We loved the views of the golf course, marsh, and the surroundings! Coffee and breakfast in the living room and screened in porch were fine ways to start the day. We put the beach equipment and bikes to good use as well. The house was nicely stocked with soaps and paper products too. Was a fun and relaxing place to stay. Thanks, Glenn!

This home is a great vacation rental. We have stayed in this home many times over the years and it has recently been updated by the current owner - new kitchen and bathrooms (fantastic master shower with view to golf course.) It has everything. The location is great - the long view down the golf course and the adjoining marsh. Close to the beach. We like to access the beach walk over on Oyster Catcher. It has everything in the home you could need from all the necessary cooking supplies to the blender for that perfect margarita, and the grill on the deck. It has a screened in porch with the best hammock in the world. The home has a reverse floor plan so the bedrooms are on the lowerl level (which is actually second story over a parking area), and the living room is above that for great views. It has an upper deck for sunning and even better views and it's great for star gazing. There's a regular table and chairs and a pub table for lounging and dining. There are games, a Wii, wifi, and xfinity. And there are bikes and kayaks for outdoor activity. It's a great place to watch the herons, egrets, deer, squirrels etc. It is really a fun place to stay. And the owner is great to deal with and easy to contact. I would highly recommend it to families with kids, to golfers, and to couples looking for the perfect getaway. We can't wait to stay again!!

This house is perfect or a family! We have a two year old and an infant and the setup was perfect! The house is beautiful and it was so helpful having beach accessories (towels, chairs, etc) and everyday items (dish soap, cleaning supplies, etc) available at a weekly rental. The setting is beautiful and secluded and offers gorgeous views. I would highly recommend this property to other families and look forward to visiting again in the future!

This unique home was a perfect choice for our family of 5! It's nice to rent from an individual who provides some of the comforts of home rather than a stripped down unit from a rental agency. We were pleasantly surprised to find games, videos, Wii, kayaks, boggie boards, beach toys, etc., as well as shampoo, conditioner, dish and laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, etc., etc....It's truly like staying at a friend's home rather than a rental. Glenn was great to work with and very responsive to our questions. The house was very clean and comfortable. The location of the home is central to the island and a short bike ride, walk or drive (if it's too hot) to all of the amenities. The nice thing about Seabrook is there is parking available for beach and pool access. All of the amenities are top notch, and leaving nothing to be desired. The only improvements that we would suggest would be TV's / DVD's in all of the bedrooms and a working outdoor shower.

I almost hate to tell everyone about this great place as I would like to keep it a secret. We have been going to Seabrook for years and this is our favorite spot. The experience began days before with the communication and hospitality of the owner. Upon arrival every detail was taken care of. I have never stayed at a rental home where the owner thought through so many of the small details that make a stay enjoyable. From the soap in the shower, to the paper products in the kitchen to the bikes in the garage. Gary is an excellent host and made the stay great. The location is excellent as well. It is a very short bike ride or moderate walk to the beach. The house has been updated in a very nice way. All the rooms were very comfortable and the views were excellent! Especially the view from the roof deck - this must be one of the highest viewing points on Seabrook Island. Thanks Gary for making this trip very enjoyable.

Owner response: Clarification for potential guests reading this response...."Gary" referenced in this review is really me (Glenn) - Below is the message this guest sent me prior the posting of his response " Glenn, Thanks for a great stay at your Seabrook Home. I wrote a review, but called you Gary. Sorry about that. If I can change it I will. We look forward to going back soon. Your hospitality was greatly appreciated. You have a great place. All The Best, Dan

First, owner was a great to work with ~ responsive & informative. We are Seabrook regulars and this was our favorite location in 30 years. The home has panoramic views of golf course and marsh...but private. The roof top deck for dining & sunning is one of a kind. Our personal favorite where the private decks off the bedrooms for morning coffee or afternoon reading. We cherished the commom space as much as we loved the private get away areas. We fought over the hammock in the screened in porch. Entire home is updated with a master bath that leaves you smiling. Everything is comfortable and easy not fussy. Lot's of stairs (maximizes views)

My family and I enjoyed staying here very much. Beautiful home! It was nice to have many items available, such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, shampoo, detergent, etc. Loved the openness of the property! Beautiful sunrise and sunset! Owner was very helpful with any concerns. Enjoyed the bikes available. Great fun riding bikes on the beach! One additional fact: Lots of stairs, so this home would not be good for anyone who has problems going up and down stairs.

We had a great time at this house on Seabrook! The house was fully stocked.... kitchen utensils, nice linens, toilet paper, laundry detergent....everything you would need for a nice getaway. The view from the main room and bedrooms is beautiful, and we had a very relaxing and peaceful stayy. The house is only a short bike ride to the beach. Master bedroom and bathroom are very nicely redone. We would definitely stay here again!!

I have stayed in the Seabrook home on 3 vacations. It's one of the most memorable times of my life. Magical times each trip. From the moment you enter the Island trough the secure gates, to the star gazing nights, laying on the third floor deck, each trip was a completely different experience. Kyacking with the dolphins, finding hundreds of star fish at low tied. Walking the pristine wide beaches alone is very therapeudic and spiritual. Seeing horses on the beach is uplifting. There are so many things to do, or not to do, it is up to you. The shopping is fun there, local art and really neighborly restaurants. There is the most amazing grocery store with all types of foods you may not even care to dine out. We did a lot of grilling on the third floor deck, looking over the golf course. All I can say is that Seabrook sometimes seems so surreal you feel like you are in a movie, that you don't want to end.

I had an opportunity to rent this property for a week in 2011. Fantastic is the only way to describe both the property and the island. The listing was immaculate, roomy and upon entering you immediately knew the vacation was going to be great. Seabrook has wonderful beaches, tennis and golf. Everything is close and if you don't experience a great vacation, while staying at this property, then the fault lies with you.

This property is a relaxing getaway and has all the amenities of Seabrook Island included. I went here with my 75 year old parents and two young boys 3 and 7. There was something for all of us. My mother enjoyed reading on the huge screened in porch or in the big chair by the window. I enjoyed the fitness center and family pools daily with my father! The two different beaches are just minutes away. The house and kitchen has everything your family could want to cook a great meal in or just minutes away are restaurants and shopping. The house is like new and felt like a luxury getaway. There was plenty of room for all of us to have a great family vacation. I would highly recommend this property for a family or couple.

My first opportunity to stay at this residence was in 1989, and I have returned frequently. In fact, since settling down and having kids, my family and I visit each summer. Seabrook as a destination is a terrific place for adults and children with endless amenities. Following a top to bottom renovation, the home is as attractive and comfortable as its surroundings. We all enjoy spending time in this wonderful home as much as we do going to the beach, exploring the Island and Charleston.

My wife, two sons and I stayed at this house in Seabrook during the third week of May. What a wonderful time to be in such a beautiful place. This house is setup perfectly for a family vacation. After a morning of beach fun, we would return to the house for the boys' afternoon naps and mom and dad could catch some afternoon sunshine on the rooftop deck. The hammock deck was our favorite place to relax in the evenings. We waited till the end of the week to start using the resort clubhouses, don't make the same mistake! The beachside pool is fantastic, visit it early and often. One last thing. Daily evening trips to Pelican Beach, or as our sons affectionately called it "Sunset Beach", are highly recommended. Pack some cocktails, hop on the beach cruisers, bring your camera and enjoy the majestic view as the sun sets to end your relaxing day.

My wife and I invited our daughter and her family from Southern California to spend a week with us at Seabrook Island. We figure this is one way to unplug the grandchildren from all the electronic games and the commercialized California life style. The whole family started to enjoy playing at the beach, horseback riding, biking, taking pictures of the deer along the sides of the road, bird watching or spotting wildlife from the roof deck of the house. Charleston is just minutes away and was a nice break for historical tours or fine dining. But the best time was when the whole family played board games or just shared stories at the end of an enjoyable day. Needless to say, this family vacation at the Seabrook house will be cherished.

Great family getaway for young and old alike We called it the “treehouse” as the living room is on the upper level providing the best view of the surroundings! We enjoyed the house because there is a beautiful view of the golf course, safe neighborhood to walk through and close to the beach and resort amenities. We very much enjoyed going to nearby Freshfield’s Village for shopping, dining and just hanging out. We rode bikes, walked on the beach, and around the island, and we even went horseback riding. We enjoy seeing the birds and wildlife around the house. It’s very close to historic Charleston. We were there during spring break, so we didn’t spend a lot of time at the beach, beyond just walking and collecting shells. A fabulous getaway for the whole family.
