This is the most kid friendly place on the mountain...but the adults in your group will love it too. Timberline slopes are open all summer and afterwards, relax with the heated pool, soaking pool, hot tub and sauna just 50 feet from our front door, this is the place to relax and enjoy the mountain.

Our home is an ideal base camp for your Mount Hood adventure, whether playing in the snow in the winter, or hiking and enjoying the mountain in the summer! Our cozy home has everything you need for a visit surrounded by comfort and relaxation.

What to do first? Stroll through Government Camp, take the kids for a swim, enjoy a soak in one of the two hot tubs, relax in the sauna, go summer skiing or snowboarding. Or just cook up a great dinner in the cozy kitchen.


Family friendly--we only rent to families: Play a board game, stroll around Collins Lake, go for a hike, play electronic darts....or just enjoy the fireplace and a movie or magazine.

In the summer, enjoy the summer skiing and riding at Timberline, or enjoy the Ski Bowl Action Adventure Park right across US 26 from our resort. The pool, soaking pool and hot tub are perfect to spend warm summer days enjoying. Hiking trails are all over the resort and in Government Camp, as well as just a short drive away in favorite areas like Trillium Lake.

Everything you need is within walking distance. This is our ''Home Away From Home:'' so you will find spices in the cupboard for cooking up your family meals, an entire bookshelf of kids books, movies to cozy up and watch with hot popcorn, an electronic dart board...even a table for the kids to play games or do crafts on.

About The Owner: We have an active family, and enjoy all things outdoors. We love Mount Hood in every season. From the massive snowfall to the beautiful warm summer days, it offers a great base camp for every outdoor activity. And with the resort amenities, we have a bit of luxury at the end of any day. Staying at our Chalet offers a very kid-friendly home, chock full of games, toys and sleds. In addition the resort has year round heated pool, 2 hot tubs and a sauna, all just 40 feet from our front door.

                                We are a family of four with twin 11 year old daughters.We travel everywhere and use VRBO a lot. This place is at the top of our list. It is a home rather than a bare bones rental. It has everything a family would want, and the owners are efficient and accommodating. The place is everything they say it is and we couldn't recommend it more highly.

                                Needed a last minute getaway for our family of 4. The owners, Debbie & Brent, were quick to respond and easy to do business with. We arrived Friday evening and were astounded as to how clean the condo was (we're neat freaks). We immediately headed to the pool (within sight, but not sound - which is perfect) and found the soaking tub Brent had mentioned. Our boys were two hours late getting to bed, but were both thrilled to have their own bunk beds. In the AM, we found everything needed to cook a great breakfast and packed our lunch to hit the Mt. Hood Fruit Loop. Our weekend was packed with adventure, but I think what the boys liked best, besides their bunk beds, were the musical instruments and games. The owners clearly know a vacation rental that's well stocked is like a home away from home. We highly recommend this unit in Collins Lake Resort - you never know what you'll get in another unit, but this one is impeccable and well stocked for everything you need (panini press, quesadilla iron ...). Save your time and energy and book this condo now!

                                We had an incredible 4 night stay. The condo was Immaculate, well-appointed and comfortable. We loved the charming mountain/ski theme decor and the fabulous swimming pool, hot tub and soaking pool nestled in the forest. The kids loved the downstairs game area. The condo is well located with nearby hiking, adventures on Mt Hood and great for day trips to Hood River and Portland. Thanks for a great vacation.

                                We stayed at the Chalet the first weekend in December. My kids had the best time playing with the toys, games, and books that are stocked in the house. I never had to worry about them getting into trouble because the house is perfectly kid friendly with tons to keep them busy. We had a great time playing in the snow, tubing, and swimming. Best place to stay with a family. Thank you for a great family vacation.

                                We absolutely loved our stay at this Collins Lake Chalet, it such a nice condo, very comforatble and kid friendly, we loved the decor, and how easy the owners made it to enjoy our time here. I would recommend this condo highly for skiing and summer!
