  WELL I READ THE OTHER REVIEWS BEFORE GOING AND I GAVE THE OWNERS THE BENIFIT OF THE DOUBT WELL I WAS WRONG.FIRST OF ALL WHEN YOU SAY PAPER TOWELS AND TOILET PAPER PROVIDED PROVIDE THEM.AFTER WE LEFT TO GO PURCHASE THEM THEY BROUGHT A 4PACK OF TISSUE AND I ROLL OF PAPER TOWELS FOR FIVE ADULTS STAYING 3 NIGHTS.THE GRILL IS THE SIZE OF A SOCCER BALL.THEY APOLOGIZED FOR THE GRASS NOT BEING CUT DUE TO RAIN WHICH I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY YOU COULDNT CUT IT BEFORE THE RAIN CAME THE WEATHER CHANNEL IS ON 24/7.THE DOCK WAS DOWN A STEEP HILL AND WAS REALLY NOTHING MORE THAN A BIG CANAL DITCH.IF YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING THERE FOR THE LAKE LOOK ELSE WHERE.NO KNIVES HAD TO CUT STEAKS WITH BUTTER KNIFE.HARDLY ANY LIGHT BULBS WORKED IN THE HOUSE.AND IT REALLY WAS FULL OF COBWEBS EVERYWHERE.DONT TOUCH THE TOP OF THE ISLAND IN THE KITCHEN IT IS NOT SCREWED DOWN BE CAREFUL.AND THE POTS AND PANS ARE TOTALLY BURNT UP AND RUSTY RAT DROPPINGS IN THE KITCHEN SINK AND UNDER IT ANTS IN THE BATHROOMS.THE ONLY GOOD THING IS THE SIZE OF THE HOUSE.WOULD NOT RETURN.

  First of all, the owners are pleasant and accommodating and even let us come early but we were very disappointed with the condition of the property once we arrived. Probably the worst thing was just how dirty the place was. Every surface we wiped with a rag came up black. Spider webs were still everywhere from the winter and we found dog poop in a corner. This is also a smoking house, which wasn't mentioned in the description. Overall the property has simply been neglected over the years and few, if any, repairs have ever been made. One example is the dining room "seating for four". There are only 3 chairs now and one of the three couldn't be used because it was broken so badly. There is no dishwasher or ice-maker as in the description and the "charcoal grill" is smaller than a soccer ball. None of the beds had mattress pads on them and the bed coverings in general were very old. The number of items not working or in need of repair are too many to mention here. More than half of all the light bulbs were burned out. This house might be sufficient for a few guys that want to spend there entire time on the lake and just need a place to crash at night. We had small kids and were hoping to enjoy some time at the house as well. We always pick a rental property to stay at for our vacations and have been all over the US. This was definitely the worst property we've ever stayed at. I would have expected to find a place like this at half the price, but for what we paid, it did not meet our expectations.

  The house was as discribed. It was old but cleaned. The neighborhood was quiet at all times. Had a wonderful time there except for the weather. We were able to moor our boat at the mirina down the street. Everything work in the house. The beds were comfortable downstairs. We did not use the upstairs rooms. I would return.

  we enjoyed our stay at the house all but a few problems, there was so many ants, we got ate up! the house was beautiful but there were no pots to cook out of these were the only compliants i hope to visit you again in the future.

  Owner response: we would like to start by saying we are glad you enjoyed your stay at our house as we want all guest to enjoy thier visit.imagine my suprise when you posted about the ants i went right over to the house thinking you meant inside the house was relieved that wasnt the case . As for ant hills on the property each time we have guest we cut the yard and put poisen on any we may see,however nature being what it is with the wooded lot,water,and this being the summer they sometimes rebuild as in any yard. In the future should you return feel free to call us we will gladly come over and treat any new hills.The house comes with standard plus pots and pans there are 3 fryin pans 2 small pots 1 sauce pan 1 large pot we also have a crockpot that guest are welcome to use ,but in case they were to hard to locate I have know put them all in the cabinet next to stove so they are easy to find. thanks agian for staying with us .
