We bought our home about 6 years ago as a place for family and friends to get together and enjoy the limitless activities in the North Tahoe area. Tahoe Donner is unique in the area with its many amenities, family friendly environment, and easy access to just about everything in the North Tahoe area. The house is in the higher elevation area of Tahoe Donner -- only about 2 minutes to the ski hill -- so experiences a very high snow load in the winter.
The layout of the house is excellent for larger parties or multiple families. It has a great floor plan and sleeps 13 comfortably, plus has a loft and pull-out beds for extra guests. The home is large enough to accompany 3 families. Bedrooms include a master bedroom on the top level with California King. Outside the master bedroom is a loft with full-sized futon bed. Main level has two bedrooms, one with a full-sized bed and the other with a pyramid bunk bed. The lower level has 3 bedrooms, two with queen sized beds and the other with bunk beds. Home comes with cable TV and high-speed internet. This approximately 3000 SF home comes fully furnished with everything you need for a large family get-together.
Included in the rental are guest passes for full access to all the amenities at Tahoe Donner: Access to the Trout Creek Recreation Center with two pools, hot tubs, spa, steam room, and fitness center; access to the private beach and boat launch area at Donner Lake (boats and boards can be rented); the equestrian center; golf, tennis, and much more. We had a lot of fun using this house with plenty of room for 4 families with toddlers. We enjoyed Donner Lake, rafting the Truckee river, and going to Lake Tahoe. It has a nice kitchen and comfortable living room.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The house did magic. It was clean and well equipped with everything including kitchen utensils, novels, games, bedding and some grocery. Its huge and accommodates many people. The house was great- very large and very clean and stocked with everything you need for a Tahoe winter vacation. Right next to the ski area, 3 minutes from sledding hill and pool. Steve was super-responsive, made sure we got in with no problems and was available for every question. We will definitely be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I stayed at this cabin with a large group and had a wonderful time. The house has all the amenities that we could have wanted, the price was reasonable, and the owner was very easy to work with. The owner also emailed with helpful suggestions and provided plenty of ways to get in touch in case anything went wrong. I would highly recommend staying at this house.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.
