Our quiet, charming 1+ bedroom condo with a great mid valley location was completely remodeled in 2011. Only 15 minutes from the airport, downtown Salt Lake, and the ski resorts of Alta and Snowbird, the condo is quickly accessed from the freeway. This space has a beautiful, modern, full kitchen, a dining/ living room, a master bedroom (with queen bed), a TV/den with convertible queen sleeper sofa and two bathrooms with Euro style showers. A stacking washer/dryer is located at the end of the kitchen. All housewares and utensils are provided for cooking and eating in the condo. The condo includes a shared pool and hot tub, and recently upgraded tennis courts. Underground parking and a convenient storage area nearby make secure, short work of storing ski gear in the winter.
Salt Lake City and the surrounding area provide an excellent mix of city and sporting activities. The Wasatch Mountains and their varied playgrounds stack up behind city venues like the Hogle Zoo, Temple Square, and the recently opened Museum of Natural History on University of Utah campus. A short drive takes you to the Great Salt Lake, and two national parks, Arches and Capitol Reef, are easily reached and returned from in a one day excursion. Hedonistic Park City and various 2002 Olympic venues are just a half hour away. Many golf courses, restaurants, and excellent shopping including Fashion Place Mall are just minutes away.

About the owner: We love our cozy, snug condo below the Wasatch Mountains. We have friends and family in the area and visit whenever possible. We are recently retired teachers-mathematics and art-and love the great out of doors. We have hiked all over the West, Canada, and Europe and know well some excellent red rock refuges and slot canyons around Capitol Reef. We ski in the winter, love to travel, fish, and hike in the summer. Even though the bones are getting older, we still backpack and don’t mind sleeping on the ground occasionally. The Mr. in the duo is an excellent musician who loves Django Reinhardt, Dan Hicks, and lots of other eclectic artists; he performs with his band under the stage name, Johnny Star. The Mrs. is into art of every sort but loves to putter around in clay and printmaking.
Why the Owner Chose Midvale: Our comfy SLC space allows us to visit family while not wearing out our welcome. Because it is so close to lots of shopping, some pretty good restaurants, and a variety of “city” stuff, we can indulge ourselves in people, places, and things, yet still find close by that quiet spot in the wild to marvel at Mother Nature’s endless skill at beauty and calm.
