Aloha, We stayed at Nick's Condo in Marine Surf. It was the best decision for our vacation. We would stay at Nick's Condo again without a second thought. I am telling everyone how wonderful it was. We were amazed at how it was exactly like the pictures online. It was extremely clean and very easy to get to, close to everything, and just all over amazing. Nick was so professional and yet so very kind. He walked us through everything at the condo, set up the special code for us to access the condo -- you don't even need a key for the door -- that was AWESOME! We also had free covered parking that was so sweet. You could tell he wanted us to enjoy his condo and our vacation. And we DID....Just amazing! We loved that it was close to everything especially Waikiki Beach! Anytime we are taking a vacation to Oahu we will only stay at Nick's Properties! It was an amazing experience. Mahalo Nick!!

Just recently found this place on CL and stayed for 3 nights here. The condo was in a great location just a few minutes walk from the beach and was very well kept up and clean. Nick was very helpful in directions to get there places to rent mopeds and bikes and recommended some places of interest. I highly recommend staying here and will most certainly will be back! The unit was as Nick described on the phone and as the listing photos showed. It was very clean and comfortable. We liked the convenient location. It was nice to have a pool where one could sun as well as swim. Everything was included which was a big help. Free parking made it possible to rent a car without added expense. Nick was available, helpful when we had questions and accommodating. The laundry was very handy. I would definitely recommend his units to anyone traveling to Honolulu. We will certainly stay there if we have the opportunity to return. One of the activities we did this time was to take an hour and a half sunset cruise on a catamaran located at Outrigger Reef Hotel. It was delightful! Happy Hours were a big hit. They can be found all over.

The description and photos of the studio apartment were accurate. We did not spend much time in the studio because our overall vacation was short. So for our purposes (sleeping, showering, and ironing), everything worked out really well. This vacation rental was a great alternative to a hotel room in Waikiki since the price was (compared to hotels) very reasonable, and most importantly - parking was included. We spent most of our time exploring the island, so a car was very helpful. For those who do not have a car, there is plenty to do and see in the area. The condo is located near the Royal Hawaiian Center and the high-end shops on Kalakaua Ave. The International Market Place is also nearby for all of your tchotchke shopping needs. If you enjoy street performances, there are a variety of characters out at night along Kalakaua; our favorite was Santa Claus playing the violin. We did not visit Waikiki Beach, but that is also within reasonable walking distance. Nick was very helpful and responsive during the booking process, check-in, and check-out. We appreciated his guided tour of the studio, and his helpful recommendations for sights to see around the island and in town. This condo is ideal for couples on a budget, for those who want to see Waikiki, for those who want to explore O'ahu, and for those who don't want to pay the $30-50 daily parking fees at hotels in the area. The condo is an excellent value, and has decent amenities. We would absolutely stay here again!

Very clean and newly updated condo close to everything. Golf less than 10 minutes away. Beach is only a 10 minute walk or enjoy your own salt water pool located on the 4th floor. Some of the best restaurants in Waikiki are also minutes away or if it is fast food that you are looking for you have a Food Fair less than 100 yards up Seaside and Mc Donald's right around the corner. Affordable shuttles to some of the best shopping malls right across the street. We have been staying at this location for the past 10 years and have never been disappointed!!

Ideal location for us, as we have somewhat limited mobility. It was on Seaside and Kuhio, where the buses run. We were also about a block from Kalakaua Avenue, "where the action is," especially at night, with marvelous window shopping, street performers, St. Patrick's Day Parade, wonderful restaurants, and only a short walk from there to Waikiki. Our expectations based upon website photos were most favorably met. Owner was friendly and available, addressing any questions we had and meeting our every need. We also enjoyed the complete and convenient kitchen in the condo for meals "at home." I definitely would recommend this property to friends or relatives; and I hope we can go again sometime soon. Mahalo for the gracious hospitality and aloha to all.

I visit Honolulu relatively frequently to see my Mom, who has a caregiver living with her. This was the first time at Nick's condo at Marina Surf, and this is the only place I will be staying from now on. This place is a home away from home! Perfect size, great location (and very quiet for Waikiki), nicely appointed and the free designated parking space was icing on the cake. This place is a great value. My visits will now revolve around this (or one of Nick's other) condo’s availability!

My husband and I stayed here for a week over the Christmas and New Year's holiday and we had a fabulous stay. It was in a fantastic location (5 min walk to Waikiki Beach, International Marketplace, groceries, shopping, etc..) with all of the amenities we were looking for, and more...... Full kitchen, full bathroom, comfortable double bed with large couch, all linens, towels, TV, DVD player, and lanai. Bonuses were free wireless internet, phone with long distance calls, parking spot and beach necessities such as mats, umbrella and chairs! The studio is perfect for two people and was very clean. The balcony view is not fantastic (no ocean view) and the place is not brand new, but it is very well maintained. Nick, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with, extremely organized and hospitable. We rented a car for a day and drove around the North Shore and Nick provided great tips with recommendations of where to stop, what to check out etc.. The parking spot made renting a car for the day so easy!! We would definitely recommend staying here. This condo provides everything you need for a very reasonable price. My husband and I travel to Hawaii usually once per year and we will definitely be renting here again when we come back! A fantastic stay!

Free parking is a rarety in Wakiki and a car is required to see more of the Island than the nearby beach, touristy shops, and expensive hotels. We used our car every day to visit the famous sites and museums surrounding Waikiki. We found low priced resturants in Chinatown. Rick was super. He was there when we arrive and he provide us with guidebooks and information about resturants He made a special trip from his home to help me with my computer. The free internet was very helpful. The pictures on this website give an accurate picture of the room. It is compact, but it contains everything an individual or couple needs.

We watched the sunrise as we sat on our lanai each morning from our room. It was a great location to see the sights and relax when finished. Our daughter in law set this vacation for us via email with Nick and when we met him to getthe condo's keys he was polite and knowledgeable about the area. We haven't vacationed in Hawaii for over 20 years and I am gad to see that Hawaii still extends the true meaning of Ohana to its visitors. Thanks for making this trip memorable. The Roberts, WA state

We stayed in May 2010. This condo was perfect! It is important to have a kitchen with the expensive dining in Waikiki. There was even a cooler and beach mats so we could take our lunch to the beach with us! his condo has a good view. I enjoyed breakfast on the lanai every AM, seeing the surfers catch waves in the distance. We had a few mishaps, where our travel agent booked us coming in from the Big Island at 10pm when we asked for 10am and Nick was extremely helpful in accomodating that last minute change. The building was refurbishing the parking when we arrived and, again, nick went out of his way to make sure that we had somewhere to park in the building for free, even though our time of arrival made his inital new parking plan for us impossible! If you have never been to Waikiki before and you are concerned about what location to be in....I knew the area well when I chose this condo and I initially chose it due to location and free parking. This location is the middle of and the heart of Waikiki and finding parking, let alone FREE parking, is next to impossible. The tour buses for luaus and other events come and snatch everyone right across the street, so you won't have to walk far. Also, the hotel is right on the prime bus route. No matter which direction you want to travel, all you have to do is walk across the street and The Bus will take you whereever you want to go right from there! All of my favorite bars (Dukes) and restaurants (Cheesecake Factory) are a vey small block away! The condo was very clean and up to date. We will definately stay here when we go back to Oahu and recommend this to all of our friends and family! Thank you Nick for a wonderful stay!

Ammended, Feb. 08, to update email address & reflect on Marine Surf condo's. We had the pleasure of meeting Nick, & viewing the properties in the fall of 2002. March of 2003, We stayed in both units at the Island Colony, which unfortunately are no longer available. However, the Marine Surf condo's are on par with the Island Colony! I've also more recently stayed there, & found they also met & exceeded my expectations, & offered all that was needed to make one feel "at home". The location is just as convenient to everything, with 99% of shopping, dining, entertainment, etc. within a couple of blocks. The units themselve's are 1st. class properties, very tastefull, & spotlessly clean! I'm a fanatic about cleaniness & these property more than met my expectations. These will always be our 1st. choice of preferred properties to stay during our visits to Waikiki, & I have no qualms whatsoever of recommending these properties to anyone seeking quality & comfort, etc.. My only concern, these are one of the BEST deals in Hawaii, & have become so popular that one needs to book well in advance to ensure a reservation! That being the case, let's hope it opens up more properties of the same top notch quality! Mahalo Nick, we WILL be back, & that's a promise! Garry Tomiuk, Vancouver, BC

This was my first time renting a condo in Oahu. I stayed at Marine Surf 1703 in December 06. Before coming to the place, I was a bit nervious: like what if the condo didn't turn out like what it says on the website. But, after meeting Nick and seeing the room I was truly satisfied. The room was great! It was clean and everything was available for us to use. When I get a chance to come back to Oahu again, I would definitely stay here.

Nick's condo is the best value in Waikiki. The granite counter top, dishwasher, and DVD player, are just a few of the ammenities. Nick has decorated a "home away from home" for his guests. Just a quick note to thank you for the wonderful accomodations that you provide at the Island Colony. I rented it for my brother and his wife who loved it. It was clean with a great view and huge Lanai. We stayed in another place about a mile away (what a mistake) but spent a couple of evenings just relaxing on the huge Lanai and talking over the events and sights of the day. With my brother on crutches, the jacuzzi, sauna and pool made it an even better deal. If you do not grab this one up, you will probably be paying too much elsewhere for your stay. Being only about 3 short blocks from Waikiki Beach and the main drag of Kalakaua Avenue. I know that I will be staying there the next trip I make there and will be sure to give Nick's number to anybody I know planning a trip. Please remember to send me some cards to give to the travel agents I know here on the east coast, Nick. Nick is great to deal with and is very honest in his dealings. Again, thank you Nick on behalf of my brother and his wife for their wonderful week of relaxation and comfort.

Thanks Nick for making a cozy, clean and comfortable place for us to stay in Waikiki. I love the large, thick and thirsty towels for showers plus the extra ones just for the beach. It is so nice to have a full bar of soap for the shower too, not those little slivers often found in hotels. We both enjoyed the side by side fridge with icemaker as it make for nice cool beverages after a full day at the beach or off sight seeing. I would highly recommend this spot for a couple who want affordable luxury with all the comforts of home and a nice vew too. We can't wait to return to Waikiki. Aloha Helena
