  My husband and I rented this house for the month of Feb.,as we come to Orange Beach each winter, and was overwhelmed with the rooms. The Cleanliness of the home was such a nice surprise! We have rented in this area for 13 years and never stayed at a Home or Condo where we could come right in and feel at home and not have to do anything or clean anything before we stayed. Our children came the last week of Feb. which made 11 of us, and we never felt crowded and still had two bedrooms we did not use. Thank You for letting us use your Home, and Thank You to Maria and her Great Cleaning Staff. We will recommend this Home to all of our Friends and Family heading to Alabama!!!

  My husband and I brought our two young girls (4 yo and 6 months) to Orange Beach in November. It was our first time visiting the area, and I am so thankful we lucked into finding this house. Most of the rental properties in the area are in high-rise condos. I am sure they are nice, but I really liked being able to drive our car to the door. As I mentioned, we were toting two young girls, so that was imperative. We have already said that we should make this a "regular" trip, and we would very likely come back to this same house. It was perfect for us. In fact, it was large enough that we might bring another family or grandparents with us next time. The house itself is newly renovated and well maintained. It is spacious, with a sitting room on the main floor, as well as an additional sitting room off the master bedroom upstairs. The finishes and linens were quite nice throughout the house. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed to cook some meals in-house. As mentioned in the posting, there is a TV in every room, which I do not think I needed, but my 4 yo decided she should try them all out. The internet was reliable and easily accessible throughout the house. Alabama Getaways (the property management team) was responsive and professional. We only had to deal with them once, on the day we arrived, but he was so quick in getting to us. I was impressed. It was a bit too cold for us to use the pool in Nov (pool is not heated), but it was well maintained. Some info about the house layout that may be helpful for other people considering this property: downstairs -- one "apartment" with no kitchen. It has a set of bunk beds, one queen bedroom, and a full bathroom. main floor -- open concept living/dining/kitchen that opens to a front porch and entryway. A master bedroom (king) with en-suite bathroom. Laundry room, plus half bathroom in the hallway. There is a tiny deck on the back of the house too. upstairs -- one queen bedroom, another queen bedroom. These two bedrooms share a full bath. Master bedroom and full bath, with balcony and additional sitting room (I believe the couches pulled out). Suggestions: - if you have young children, try "baby beach rentals" -- full-size crib, jogging stroller, monitor, and exersaucer were waiting for me when we arrived. Downstairs master is plenty big enough to hold a full-size crib.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

  The weather was stormy on first day or two, but then cleared up and was a mixture of clouds and sun. Some wonderful things we did: just hanging at the beach with family, dinner at Harbor Grill, lots of wonderful meals cooked in your gorgeous kitchen.

  The weather was: hot and beautiful Some wonderful things we did: Visited Lulu's and Lamberts. Putt putt, tennis, night pool swims, the outlet mall What we saw and discovered: a mockingbird's nest next door and shells Moments & glimpses & little things that mattered: having family pictures done on the beach, playing family games before bed, spending mornings and evenings on the balcony. Some other thoughts: we've made so many great memories that will not soon forget!

  The weather was: excellent...not too hot but warm enough to know we were at the beach. Couple of showers., Some wonderful things we did: Bull Red fishing trip and our boat caught 18. We ate and ate and ate! What we saw and discovered: Porpoises, Blue Angels flew by. Moments & glimpses & little things that mattered: Our three year old was in a fantasy land the whole time. Some other thoughts: Loved the house and the proximity to the beach, as well as security we felt.

  The weather was: perfect, not too cold and not too hot. Some wonderful things we did: rented a pontoon boat and explored the bay. Went to the foley outlet mall. Guys played golf.

  The weather was: The weather was beautiful and very warm for this time of year. Some wonderful things we did: beach, Lulu's Hangout What we saw and discovered: lots of stars in the night sky and state park road 1 - very helpful to avoid traffic. Moments & glimpses & little things that mattered: sunrises and sunsets, full moon beach walk, lots of shells, calm water & lots of food creations. Some other thoughts: loved the house and all of the amenities!

  We stayed at Eagle’s Nest for the week of July 4th. It is a beautiful house that fully accommodated our 17 people. Everyone had a bed and almost everyone had a flat screen television! There is plenty of space for each person to have some “alone time.” We will definitely be back! This gated community is perfect for families with kids. The tennis court is in tip-top condition; the pool is maintained daily; the grounds are kept clean; the green space/gardens are attended to frequently; and, the gorgeous beach is only a few steps away. We were able to leave all of our “beach stuff” on the beach overnight (as did everyone else) and we didn’t have to lock our doors—we felt so safe! Getting to this area of Alabama during “high” season is a traffic nightmare. Interstate 10 around Mobile took over 2 hours to circumnavigate. After which we did get on the toll road which dropped us right in Orange Beach, although others in our group took Hwy 54 and sat in more traffic. When we left on Saturday morning the traffic going Northwest to Mobile was also backed up. Be sure to allow for these delays. The only problems we encountered were with Jillian, the property manager. One of the televisions fell off of wall onto the dresser on Sunday. My son called the rental company to report this and a couple of other minor problems for which we didn’t want to be accountable. He left a message on the machine. On Monday he called back and talked to Jillian about the problems. He explained in detail about the television and she said she would get someone out to fix it. He called her back on Tuesday (Wednesday was the 4th of July) and Jillian said someone would be out on Thursday (my son told her that he had hooked up the television so it worked), but there was damage to the wall. No one ever came out or tried to reach us again. Also previously undisclosed to me, the rental company keeps the rental damage deposit until the end of the month before they return it with VOID written on it. We left Eagle’s Nest on July 7, I emailed Jillian about the check since I did not receive it within a week. It was then that I learned of the month-end mailing date. After emailing again, they mailed the check to me on August 8 and I finally received it on August 11. Since the property manager was the only problem we encountered, I highly recommend this house for a vacation rental. It is a perfect spot for a large family to gather.

  Owner response: We are very happy that you enjoyed 'Eagle's Nest' so much during your 4th of July vacation to our area. We are sorry that the hanging TV installation kit fell from the wall during your stay. The home was completely renovated in Fall/Winter 2012/2013 and one upgrade was all new TV's - installed with brackets in the wall in the bedrooms. We diligently tried to get the contractor who installed the TV out to re-hang the TV immediately after you reported the incident, but he was unable due to the holiday week. Fortunately, another contractor was able to get out there the day after the 4th of July and re-hang the TV. We have also made sure the other brackets are secure so this situation does not happen again. We appreciate your son communicating with us to let us know the situation was under control and the TV secured/working as we scrambled to find a contractor to handle the situation. We apologize for the delay of the return of your deposit check...we do our best to get those out immediately following the end of each month and realize the importance of maintaining that schedule. We VOID the checks immediately after satisfactory inspections upon guest departure as our written communications express. We appreciate your constructive criticism and we are planning to implement a new deposit protocol to help guests understand our deposit return process a little more.   We found this home to be exactly as described in the listing. It was well furnished & very clean. The location was convenient to restaurants, grocery stores, shopping & the golf course for you guys! We liked the privacy of the beach. We found Jillian with Ala. Getwaways to be very helpful. We have recommended this property to our friends & relatives. Thank you for allowing us to rent your home.

  This unit was perfect for our 4th of July weekend! Lovely upgraded unit one story above the pool on the 'quiet end'. Beautiful gulf front property. Everything you could need in the kitchen. Comfortable beds and high quality bedding. A large living/dining area with 5 adults....it was just right.
