  We had an AMAZING 7-day vacation at Casa Grande and overall was very good. We recommend Casa Grande - The Pros outweigh the Cons. We will be back. PROS: The most outstanding things were the superb ocean views, constant ocean breeze, and Zully, the cook. Zully made delicious food and catered to our special dietary needs and desires. She was very flexible and attentive to detail. Young Roy was amicable, helpful, and a superb, excellent boat captain. Nef met us at the WaterTaxi and took us to Casa Grande where we were greeted at the dock by the friendliest watchdog you’ve ever met, Tutis. She was a delight, very low-key and available, and obedient, but ferocious towards outsiders that would come by the property. She knew we were Casa Grande guests and protected us like her family. We used the 2 best bedrooms and used the individual A/C in the bedrooms only at night -- the split A/C cooled down the bedrooms nicely to keep a constant temperature and block the outside nighttime noise. We felt very safe - security lights, locks on all the bedroom doors, Tutis the watchdog. Plenty of excellent quality towels available -- just ask Zully for all the towels you need and change them out as often as you like. The Washer/Dryer nice which allowed us to pack fewer clothes. The WiFi (slow)and satellite TV signal (good variety of channels) was only in the Living/Dining area. TV/ DVD in every room and a nice selection of movies. Good snorkeling is just a short boat ride away and superb. Roy and Nef know good spots. Nef took us fishing twice that week and we caught Mackerel and Snapper which Nef cleaned and Zully cooked deliciously. CONS: Casa Grande staff are on a tight budget. We had to ask every night to have the outside tree lighting on to enjoy sitting outside. We had to buy toilet paper the first day, plus buy the drinking water and ice in town. The beds and bedding are not the greatest but clean and adequate. Don’t expect luxury bedding. Everything was clean upon arrival, but don’t expect daily maid service. Little things in the bathroom could use some attention. The Master bathroom fixtures were not shiny and the bathroom tile grout and shower looked moldy. The other upstairs bedroom did not have hot water (for a warm shower had to go downstairs.) Beach was not as clean as it could be -- trash caught in the seaweed, but the neighbors had a nice clean beach we used. Nef was busy in SanPedro most all week. Sand flies bothersome (repellent). Boat gas expensive - $270!

  My family and I stayed at Casa Grande for 10 days and had the best vacation of our lives. Roy, Neff, and Zuli took wonderful care of us. We really enjoyed the amazing snorkeling available within 5-10 minutes by boat, and my wife and I paddled the sea kayak out to the reef ourselves a few times. Neff also arranged a trip to the mainland with a friend of his to guide us; we went to the Mayan ruins and cave tubing, all of which was spectacular. All in all an excellent house, location, and staff.

  This was a great place to stay and we had a wonderful time with our friends and family. Roy and Benedict are truly sincere awesome people and really made our time here memorable. Loved "T-dog"-she went for a sunrise walk with me every day. Just a couple of things to be aware of. You need to supply all incidentals including TP, paper towels, condiments, laundry detergent (despite paying the 100.00 cleaning fee), drinking water and Nef told us we needed to pay Roy $30.00 every time we went in the boat other then to town, despite renting the boat for the week. Also you really can't snorkel off the beach lots of sea grass and trash. Mexico Rocks, Shark Ray, Tranquility bay and Hol Chan are incredible. Also if you like to dive we went with Unique Dive Adventure and I had the best 50th b-day with them. Bring your fishing pole and Benedict "the hardest working man in Belize" will catch bait fish for you. Thanks again to Roy and Benedict-you can't find two nicer people in Belize.

  Six of us rented the home for a two week stay. It was incredible. We had everything we needed. We stayed as busy as we wanted to be and were able to relax to our hearts content. As everyone else has mentioned, the best part was Zuli, Roy, and Nef. Zuli made amazing meals and went out of her way to make special things for everyone. The homemade tamales and tortillas were to die for. She was also funny and we enjoyed getting to know her. Then there was Roy. He always had a smile and was willing to take you anywhere you wanted to go. Captain Roy can really drive that boat too. He was like our little brother and we all wanted to take him home with us. Finally there was Nef.... anything you need he is your "go to guy." He arranged all of our excursions. We wanted steak and he called a restaurant and made it happen. Most importantly, none of had been diving in some time but we were all trusted him and he made it easy and fun. He was patient and kind. In the end, they all felt like family and made the trip amazing. Stay at Casa Grande - the house and view will make you smile, the people will make sure you are beyond happy.

  Our stay at Casa Grande was outstanding! It is a lovely home with great amenities, secluded and surrounded by paradise. We enjoyed the boat rides, the town of San Pedro, the diving and other activities, heck we enjoyed it all so much we didn't want to go home. But by far the best part was the staff. Nef, Roy, and Zuily took exceptional care of us and were a joy to be with. Every thing that we needed was taken care of and the food Zuily cooked was terrific. This was our first trip abroad and we were a bit nervous, and full of questions. The owners were patient and answered every inquiry. They also provided thoughtful insight and tips for us that made things simple. We all highly recommend staying here. Thank you for sharing your home with us, we hope to return in the near future.

  After a long trip of traveling from the frozen north, Alaska, my family of 9 arrived in San Pedro. The youngest being 20 we all had an amazing time and so much freedom when planning activities with our new guide, dive instructor, caretaker Nef. He was able to take out a small group of us an get us dive certified through Island Divers in town during our 10 day vacation. He was willing to make any arrangements in town or out, like a mayan temple excursion to Xunantunich, cave tubing and ziplining, or take you snorkeling at Shark Ray Alley and Hol Chan or fishing whenever you wanted deep sea or from the dock. We all had a blast! Everyone at the house was so kind and welcoming we had three succulent home cooked meals prepared by our wonderful cook Zuly and we had another friendly face, Roy, who would drive the boat from the house to town any time you wanted or help you navigate through town to get better prices on food items and groceries. We were able to grab meals in town when we wanted but generally we found that the food at the house was far better. The nightlife in town is not to be missed and is an exciting experience for the young and old. The house itself was great, Plenty of outdoor space to mill about, sun bathe in, lounge in the hammocks or even get a good beach game going. There was enough sleeping space for all us adults and then some! Don't worry about the hot humid nights because each room has enough AC to blast even us back to the arctic. A fantastic trip--you should definitely stay here!

  Flew into San Pedro from the mainland. The people were very nice and the scenery was amazing. Lots of things to do --good music, drink and food when you are not doing stuff. It's the place you want to share with your real friends. Go to Casa grande, Belize on Facebook to see some pictures. unfortunately mere pictures, as good as they are, cannot do it justice.

  What an awesome place. I initially had some reservations about the differences from our past vacations (the beach has sea grass, no restaurants without a boat ride, air conditioning at night/sea breeze by day). It was somewhere between when Nef took us fishing for snapper that first day and when Marlanie cooked them that evening for me to become a convert. There was something magical about the late evenings of drinks on the veranda with nothing to do but watch the stars, the days of the kids' excited snorkeling discoveries, the scuba trip guided by Nef (what house comes with a dive instructor?), and the night out that the Wife and I had at Club Rojo a few docks down. It was unlike any vacation we've ever had and one that I will remember forever. Thanks, Casa Grande!

  We stayed at Casa Grande with our three kids (ages 3, 5 and 7) and had a great time. The setting was beautiful. The kids loved snorkeling off the beach searching for shells and starfish and lobster among the seagrass. The food prepared by Marlaney, the cook, was delicious. Nothing better than waking up oceanfront to food, coffee and breakfast already prepared for my family! We enjoyed the secluded setting and were surprised at how well the kids did away from civilization.
