You will love it here at Squirrel Run. Families as well as couples are all welcome. With easy paved access you'll enjoy a peaceful country setting in this very clean and charming mountain home with stone fireplace, located in Maggie Valley, N. C., 40 miles west of Asheville. Sit, relax and listen to the songbirds or soak in our private hot tub on one of our three decks overlooking mountain views. Possible snowfall during winter months.
This non-smoking mountain cabin has all the comforts of home. The main floor features a wood-burning fireplace in the living room with a 42" cable TV with surround sound,& DVD. The guest bedroom on the main floor has a queen-size bed, cable TV and a full bath including a full size washer and dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and more. Upstairs is a large master bedroom with a queen-size bed and cable TV, a full bath, and a 3rd room with 2 twin-size beds. Downstairs is an unfinished basement with a Pool Table, Foosball, Air Hockey Table, Shuffleboard Table, Cable TV with DVD player and seating area for your entertainment. Board games, puzzles and cards are included as well. Free Wireless Internet service & unlimited long-distance phone service.
You are close to many attractions such as the Biltmore House and Gardens, Cherokee Indian Reservation & Harrah's Casino, Ghost Town, Cataloochee Mountain snow skiing, Great Smokey Mountain National Park, Blue Ridge Parkway, and great shopping and dining in the heart of Maggie Valley, Waynesville, and Asheville, NC.
Our cabin is Pet Friendly with a non-refundable pet deposit. In order to prevent separation anxiety-induced damage from your usually well-behaved pets, we ask that you either take your pets with you or crate them when you are not going to be with them.

Recently returned from a week's stay at Squirrel Run and absolutely loved it. The home looks exactly as it appears in the photos.. It is a lovely home -- very clean and obviously well maintained. And the views from the top deck were beautiful!!! We did some sightseeing, but I somewhat resented having to leave our "home away from home" for the day. We did the "Biltmore House" in Asheville -- truly a must; drove the Parkway to Blowing Rock another day and the scenery was breath-taking and also spent an afternoon in Cherokee, did the Casino bit and I must say, the local Indians are just a bit richer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We lucked out with restaurants -- had fish-n-chips in O'Mally's; had great Thai food in Thai Spice and the seafood at Maggie's Gallery was outstanding. Those restaurants are in Waynesville, not far at all. Lunch in Flowing Rock was at Kojay's, so good!! Locally, had pizza from Snappy's and the breakfasts at Joey's Pancake House are too good. Dealing with Celeste was a joy -- she couldn't have been more accommodating. All in all it was a great week -- my first stay in the mountains and I can assure you it won't be the last. Get ready Squirrel Run -- I'm coming back!! Rosalee

We had a great visit at Squirrel Run. The cabin was neat and well stocked with kitchen amenities. We were worried about their being no air conditioning in the middle of August, but the cabin was comfortable and we had a great cross breeze to sleep with during the evening. Enjoyed the Hot tub, grill, and the view from the deck. The teenagers enjoyed the games in the basement (it was a bit musty in the basement). Celeste was very accommodating and easy to work with. Thanks for a great vacation experience which we would recommend to friends and family

The cabin was very easy to find using the directions given to us from the owners. It will trick you up a little if you try a GPS. The cabin was rather on the warm side when we 1st arrived, but became very comfortable after the windows were open. The cabin is well equiped with everything we needed and located very close to restaurants. We trailered 2 motorcycles with us and found it easy to unload and park them on the side driveway. The closeness to the blueridge parkway was a big plus since that is our favorite road to travel on the bikes. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the cabin to others.

Our second visit to Squirrel Run was just as wonderful as our first was two years ago. The house is clean, comfortable and welcoming. The addition of the wireless internet this year was a big hit with our grown children. They also enjoyed the hot tub. During our week at Squirrel Run we ventured to Cataloochee, Asheville, Cherokee and Gatlinburg. We used the grill to cook out and also the crock pot to have a meal waiting when we returned from our day trips. The kitchen is fully equipped and a joy to cook in. Coming back to Squirrel Run always feels like coming home. We had considered renting other properties this year, but chose to return to Squirrel Run. The owners are absolutely great to work with. We wouldn't hesitate to book again, and would recommend this vacation spot wholeheartedly.

This is a great cabin - good views of the mountains - easy to get to and conveniently located in Maggie Valley near many great places to visit and things to do for a family. Everything is like new in the cabin and very well maintained.
