You'll follow a winding private road to this Platte River get away and discover a secluded three bedroom 1400 sq ft, ranch style home that features a fully equipped kitchen and a cozy gas fireplace/stove in the living room. The main bath is centrally located near all of the bedrooms and the 1/2 bath is a walk thru between the master bedroom and the kitchen area.
With a combination of large windows and closeness to the river you can actually see trout and salmon swimming from the living room. There is a small footbridge across the river that leads to over 100 acres of wooded state land that is yours to explore.
Imagine yourself lounging on the covered porch or in the screened room taking in the sights and sounds of the river. For the more adventurous the upper Platte is an exciting challenge to those who choose to canoe, kayak or tube the river.
From here your just a short drive to the many of the best vacation experiences Northwest Michigan has to offer. Within 15 minutes you can be at the Sleeping Bear Lakeshore, Interlochen Center for the Arts, Crystal Mountain or one of the last drive in theaters in Michigan. Within 30 minutes you can be wine tasting, climbing the Sleeping bear Dunes, charter fishing on Lake Michigan or shopping in Frankfort or downtown Traverse City. Your vacation experience is truly only limited by your imagination.
