  Thank you so much to the owners for letting us rent their beautiful condo for the weekend. We came to celebrate my friend's birthday with a girls weekend and this was perfect. The pictures are exactly what the condo looks like. Quiet, just enough room for us 4, the pool and hot tub were amazing, everything was great. This is a nice end of the beach away from the craziness of the Seawall but still close enough to be near "town". Parking was great as well. The owners we so nice and easy to work with to book and to check out, even letting us stay later at the pool. I definitely recommend these wonderful people! So nice. Thanks again and I will definitely be coming back with the girls or my family.

  Loved our stay at this property . The condo is beautiful . I stayed there with a few girlfriends for my birthday . We had a great time . Very relaxing weekend spent lounging by the pool. The grounds are so pretty & tropical . Our balcony overlooks the big pool & made for a great view. We had plenty of room in the condo . Very updated kitchen & loved the walk-in shower . I will defantly revisit this property . Hopefully soon ! The couple that own the property are really great . Made us feel so welcome like we were family .

  This condo is exactly as shown in the pictures - just lovely! The furnishings are classy and comfortable. We stayed during spring break and I was a little worried about noise. It was not an issue. The parking area had a good number of cars, so there were plenty of people staying there, but you just wouldn’t know it. The owner was very gracious and easy to work with. We really appreciate her hospitality. Galveston was a great place to vacation. Be sure to start at the Visitor's center for information on what to see and do. Pick up resturant coupons too! Note: If you are traveling through Houston, stop and see the Johnson Space Center. It is absolutely amazing! Plan to spend a minimum of 3-4 hours. Buy tickets online for a huge discount.

  We stayed in Galveston and were very happy with this condo. It is convenient to beaches and to eating places. (Just a short drive) The condo was very clean and well stocked with everything you need to cook a meal. We plan on staying there again soon!

  My husband and I were extremely pleased with our find on this quiet quality condo unit. The owner was professional, pleasant and patient in our dealings for last minute arrangements. We prefer the calmer west beach area of the island to the busier east beach area and upon arrival and unpacking friday evening walked to the lovely Jimmys pier to enjoy the drum circle. We found the condo so comfortable and cozy-completely and tastefully furnished with all the comforts of home, it was otherwise difficult to leave for beach activities, The private balcony gave us a lovely view of the grounds and beautiful pool. (the construction on property next to condos was not disruptive at all and we as native texans are happy to see Galveston survive, thrive and come back stronger and better post hurricane Ike) There was always a security staff visible on property and in parking areas which provided a sense of security. Other guests and owners we met in shared areas (pools/hottub) were all friendly and welcoming. We will be happy to return and enjoy the accomadations again...hopefully soon!   First let me say how wonderful and easy Marilyn was to work with. So warm and helpful from booking the condo to giving some great suggestions for local places. Now the condo, it is so clean and fresh and comfortable. Everything is new and top end, they spared no expense to make sure you have everything you need. The queen bed was so comfortable, and the shower with the huge rain head was just amazing (plenty of hot water)!! We loved that it was just a few minutes to the hussle of everything, but far enough down the road not to be too noisy. We never heard any construction noise and enjoyed plenty of time on our private balcony having a cocktail. We wanted a comfortable place to get away and not feel like we were couped up in a hotel room. Let me tell you this is the place to go. The large pool was amazing and we loved that we could take our drinks and snacks down there (no glass). We saw many couples there, as well as families everyone had the same goal in mind, relaxing and enjoying the grounds, they were beautiful and well maintained. The hot tub at night was a great place to unwind, and one night we grilled out using on of the BBQ pits on the Maravilla Property. We can't wait to go back again. I highly recommend this property and renting from Marilyn and Larry. You will get your monies worth when you go with one of their units.

  This was our first experience with HomeAway, and this condo was perfect for our family of 3! We stayed 2 nights, and the condo was beautiful, clean and just as described. The owner, Marilyn, was wonderful. She was friendly and the process of payment, check-in and check-out could not have been easier! She was upfront about the construction of the property next door, both over the phone and in email correspondence. We were not bothered at all by the noise, we never even heard it from inside the unit. The pools were great! Just a short drive to the restaurants and public beach access. The busier public beach areas comb the beach better with regards to the seaweed, we were not bothered by it. We had a fantastic time and hope to return to this fantastic beach condo. The only downside was not having a better view of the gulf due to the brand new building that just went up next door, but will not keep us from returning. We also recommend the dolphin tour from pier 21, Baywatch dolphin tours, we had a great time and saw lots of dolphins and shrimpers, really neat! Thank you Marilyn!

  My mom, my daughter and I stayed at this well-maintained condo over a long weekend. We had a great time! All of the appliances are top of the line and there is plenty of space in the kitchen. The condo had everything we needed, including kitchen accessories, towels, and a great selection of DVDs. Thanks Marilyn for such AWESOME hospitality :)

  My fiance' and I stayed here from July 3-6 for a quiet and relaxing anniversary celebration. However, most of our trip was definitely not quiet and certainly not relaxing. The construction going on around us was simply unbearable. We could not sit outside on the balcony because we could not hear each other speak once it was daylight. We could not relax in the hot tub or pool because the construction was so loud and literally less than 50 ft away. I know the owner could not control this, but we were not made aware of this when we booked our stay. If we had known there was construction, we would have rented a condo somewhere else. The pictures on this site need to be updated to show what it actually looks like outside on the balcony. There is construction right outside and across the street from the condo. The beach view shown in the pictures is not visible anymore. Also, we did not have a sufficient amount of towels, even if we were to take only one shower per day. This was unacceptable to us because we wanted to enjoy going on the beach and out to dinner without having to stop at Wal-Mart to buy clean towels to shower. However, I will say the condo was very clean and access to parking was convenient. The front office staff were friendly and helpful as well. The size of the condo is reflected well in the pictures, and it was perfect to bring our small dog. Galveston beach was very dirty, and the seaweed along the coast was rather disgusting. We would recommend taking the jet boat ride and going to La King's confectionery. Also, dinner at the Steakhouse inside the San Luis Resort was magnificent. We have learned from this experience to ask more specific questions before deciding to rent another condo for a vacation . However, I highly doubt we will ever stay in Galveston again.

  Owner response: We, the owners, are saddened that our property did not meet your expectations as we strive to exceed them. We provide towels for the number of guests that the unit sleeps – which includes 6 each bath, hand and wash cloths. We can offer daily or mid-stay maid or linen service for an additional cost and would have been happy to do so had we known of the problem. Yes, Galveston is growing, and the Marriott corporation is building new accommodation options nearby. However, this was reflected on our website and responses to emails from this and every guest who stays with us. The noise is mildly distracting to most, and we, along with fellow guests and owners who were at the property this weekend enjoyed wine in the evenings and breakfast in the mornings on the balcony. The pools and hot tub are full of folks enjoying themselves. These guests were given discounted rates as we were aware of the potential for construction noise. As for the seaweed, while we wish it could be controlled, there are many things that Mother Nature throws our way and its part of the lifecycle. So pleased that these guests found ways to entertain themselves including boat rides and Galveston eateries, and I hope that they will return to Galveston some day.

  The condo was great! A little smaller than I had anticipated, but it suited our needs quite well. Very clean and the construction noise wasn't too terribly bad. Overall, a great stay and would definitely come back again!
