Cozy Suite, Historic District, Great Price!
- Minimum stay:2 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
The Brockington Hall Inn Suite is a cozy and different little inn in Savannah’s Historic District. Situated on a quiet tree-lined, brick-paved street of beautiful residences, we are within a block and a half from Forsyth Park and of the Mansion on Forsyth Park. We are also within walking distance (for spry people!) of most of Savannah’s famous sites.
Located about 25 blocks from the center of the City, and redone in 2011, the Inn offers a living room, separate bedroom, and eat-in kitchen, with a private entrance.
The Inn Suite is located in a tastefully-renovated 16th Century Classic Italianate villa-style mansion built in 1882 which houses an event venue and private apartments as well. You can see more about the building on our website, Brockington Hall, and on our Facebook page, Brockington Hall Event Venue and Inn.
The informality of the Inn Suite’s design and furnishings and its modest rental rate make it especially suited to the young at heart who wish to enjoy the grandeur of Savannah itself without staying in a formal space. A full kitchen with facilities for light cooking is provided, and you can bring home your treats from Savannah’s many fine restaurants for later snacks. You can cook your own breakfast or have breakfast nearby in the Cafe at Forsyth Park, which has Starbucks coffee. A Kroger grocery store is a block away down the lane, and Johnny Ganem's wine and liquor store is three blocks away.
The full-size bed has a Park Place Impression Plush mattress with quality cotton sheets and a cushy comforter. Additional linens provided so that the futon sofa in the living room can serve as a third sleeping space. There are plenty of pillows and many additional comforts. All textiles are new as of 2011, and the mattress and pillows have special coverings for your protection.
A Tassimo coffee-maker is provided, with coffee, tea, sugars, Splenda, and creamer.
In addition to the private entrance, the Inn Suite has wireless Internet access, cable TV service via two flat-screen TRs, and its own security system. You will have free use of Brockington Hall’s shared laundry facility, off-street parking for one vehicle, and maid service at a reasonable frequency after a two-night’s stay, if requested.
The Inn Suite is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is allowed outside the building.
A two night minimum stay is required, but we'd love for you to be our guests for an extended stay as well.

My husband and I just stayed in this quaint little suite over Memorial Day weekend. We had such a great time and LOVED it. The suite was clean and had what we needed. We did need a pizza pan and didn't have one. The owner, being such a great host got us tin foil and the next day we found a new pizza pan on our doorstep. He was very accommodating and available for us. The suite is a short walk to beautiful Forsyth Park. We did drive into downtown but parking was free being that is was the weekend. It was a little hard to find a space but we were warned ahead of time and we were prepared for it. Free weekend parking in metered parking areas was nice to know.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Forget the hotels when there are great places with character like this in Savannah. I had been to Savannah once and knew my way around just enough to know that this location is perfect. We enjoy walking and being out in the vibe of cities we visit and can't imagine something more perfect than this. The accomodations were perfect (the pics don't quite do it justice) and the hosts are great people. The walk to Forsyth Park is less than a block and then up Bull Street to the River is gorgeous through the squares. If you need the free DOT shuttle, the stop is basically across the street. The grocery store next door is great too because the apartment has an adorable kitchen. Perfect romantic getaway for us and we WILL BE BACK!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

My husband and I spent 4 nights at this lovely and spacious apartment in a historic home in Savannah's historic district. Perfect location to walk , grocery store and liquor store just one block away. The free bus was very close by. We enjoyed our stay, and would rent again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

This was my very first trip to Savannah. I have to say that I fell in love with that city! The perfect accomodations provided by the Mundells put it over the top for me. The place was immaculate and the decorating/designing was gorgeous. The traffic was horrible so I was very thankful for the perfect walking distance to parks, restaurants, and we even walked to River Street. I would recommend this property to anyone with the taste for clean, quiet, and a perfectly accomodated trip to the great city of Savannah.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I always use VRBO when we vacation and have not been dissapointed. Well, the Brockington was a great choice! The owners Lee and Melissa were very accommodating and easily accessabile, though we did not need them at all for the 5 days we were there. It is a small apartment perfect for just two people and provided everything we needed. They even had deodorant and toothpaste just in case you forgot in your packing..water, cokes and little niceties for your arrival! Kroger was literally 5 minutes away which was awesome for us. We had breakfast and lunch in and ate dinner out each night. Forsyth Park was just 5 minutes away so we walked there and it was simply beautiful! We LOVED Savannah and having nice accomadations made it even better. River Street was a few miles away...you could definately walk it but be sure to have sneakers or very comfortable shoes.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

We had such a nice time staying at Brockington Hall. The apartment was absolutly spotless. It is very nicely decorated, roomy and pleasant. Our host was very gracious and easy to communicate with when we needed anything. I would stay here again without a second thought. The location was perfect for walking through Historic Savannah and to check out SCAD. Thanks Lee for such a nice introduction to your beautiful city.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

We had never been to Savannah, although my son has been attending Savannah College of Art and Design since Sept 2010. This was an ideal location and also very comfortable. I did not expect the apartment to be as roomy as it is. Definitely best for 2 people...my daughter and I stayed in the apartment and were very happy and attached as our visit came to an end. Also, I did not expect to fall in love with Savannah but did and would recommend this as a great home base for wherever you want to go or whatever you may want to do in the area. The owner, Lee, is wonderful to work with. We loved the decor and furnishings. Slept well every night. No problems at all with internet. 2 great TVs. Off street parking close to the entrance to the apartment. The alarm system gave us an added sense of security. It is a short walk to Forsythe Park and the charming Cafe with Starbucks coffee! A very short walk to the grocery store as needs arise. The accomodations far exceeded our expectations.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

After finding that most of the other rooms available during my visit cost upwards of $350 for the weekend, I found this cute apartment. Having never been to Savannah, I wasn't quite sure of the location. I was very pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Although it's near the border of the Victorian area, I always felt safe. The room is only a couple blocks from Forsyth Park and a short >1mile walk/cab ride/pedicab ride from the downtown River St area. I arrived to a clean room with all of the amenities (including great bath products and an automatic coffee maker. As a bonus, Kroger is right around the corner if you have an extended stay or just need snacks for the weekend. Finally, the owners are wonderful and so sweet. If you stay here, ask to see the venue hall. It is absolutely breathtaking and the owner has great stories about the history. I will definitely come back and stay at this apartment next time I am in Savannah!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

We feel fortunate to have found such a nice rental so conveniently located to the Historic district. And with off-street parking! The Tassimo was a nice "upgrade" from the traditional rental unit coffee maker. The owners were responsive and accommodating. Would definitely consider either the Inn Room or Cottage on our next visit to Savannah. Thanks!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights in March 2012. We really enjoyed staying here! The apartment is on the backside of a large and beautiful home, and we found it to be exactly as described on the website. The owner was very pleasant when we checked in and out, walked us through the apartment on our arrival, and even allowed us to use his office to check into our flight on the day we checked out. The apartment is conveniently located in downtown Savannah so most sites are within a short walk or drive. My husband and I would certainly consider staying here again when visiting Savannah.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2011
About the owner: The Inn was opened in 2011 by Lee and Melissa Mundells -- lawyers by occupation -- in a building inherited from Lee's parents. United States Air Force Retired Lieutenant General Lewis Mundell and his wife Elsie lived in the house for 20+ years. The house has been featured in tours hosted by Historic Savannah Foundation and by the city's Downtown Neighborhood Association. Lee has served as President of both of these organizations, and we are committed to preservation of Savannah's unique characteristics.
Why the Owner Chose Savannah:
Lee and Melissa have lived in Savannah since 1977, when Brockington Hall was operated as an event venue. The senior Mundells purchased the building as their private residence in 1981, with some rental apartments on floors other than their residence on the parlor floor.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
When you stay in the Inn you will be staying in the country's largest historic district, on one of Savannah's loveliest streets with easy access to the City's wealth of architecture, museums, shopping, and history.
