Stayed here for a week; 14 people in all. The home had plenty of room for all of us without feeling like you were on top of each other. Home was clean, in good condition, and has everything you'd need in the kitchen to cook with. We had a couple questions about the home early on in our stay and called the homeowner. The homeowner was very attentive to our concerns and addressed one of our issues. The neighborhood is very appealing and clean - Love the colors! The home is very close to the community pool yet you don't hear noise from the pool. The ocean and life-guarded beach area is a short walk away (the available bathroom on the ocean for community guests is a plus. The ocean can be seen from the back porch and 3rd floor balcony, however we noticed there will be construction on the oceanfront so some of this view may be gone in the future. The closest grocery store (Food Lion) is about 2.2 miles away. Keep in mind the store is extremely crowded on Friday and Saturday. The home is close to the touristy things in Carolina Beach, but being in the Kure Beach area, you're also far enough away from all the touristy traffic. The home is close to the aquarium and Fort Fisher (if you're interested in those things). We would definitely rent this lovely home again and recommend it to anyone needing the space.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This home was as great as described-and more! It was lovely inside and out. The Sea Watch community is all new beach houses and looks like "Rainbow Row" of Kure Beach! Not only was it visually appealing, but it was fully equipped and spacious with gathering places and private retreats (TV in each bedroom). We had 4 generations of our family, and there was something to do for everyone. The walk to the beach was an easy one for all, and the pool was very close. The screened in back porch made a great playroom for the toddler, while parents and grandparents rocked and talked. Teens (and those who get tired of just relaxing on the beach) can walk to the pier and good restaurants to the south. We liked the Pier House's fried seasood, and Big Daddy's wide variety. If you walk north to Carolina Beach's boardwalk (about 2 miles), you find carnival rides, souvenier shops, Britt's donuts, and Frank's Pizza. There were also fire works to watch at the beach. We had a wonderful time and hope to go to this same lovely home again in the near future!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

June 28th, 2009 Just spent a week at this house. Very nice! It was just as the pictures showed. Very colorful community, and nicely kept. The house was spacious, with everything we needed to enjoy a week at the beach. It was a short 5 min walk to the beach, and the community pool was right across from the house. The owner was quite responsive in answering all the questions we had on the house and community, and proactively sharing information with us to make our stay the very best. We'd stay at this house again in a heartbeat. Two thumbs up!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

I had a wonderful experience! The house is gorgeous and accommodated my extended family well. The neighborhood is beautiful with all the different color houses. We had ocean views from all 3 levels. I spent most of my time rocking on the screened porch and watching the ocean. The kids enjoyed spending time at the pool and on the beach. It was great having a restroom at the beach access! The Aquarium is only a few miles down the road, next to a Civil War Fort. We liked having Wilmington a short drive away for dining and entertainment - the river front is really neat. If you like seafood, I recommend the Shuckin' Shack at Carolina Beach and the Old Pier House at Kure Beach.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

My family stayed in this cottage in June 08'. The pictures don't do it justice. It is a beautiful house located near the beach, pool and tennis court. It's in a quiet neighborhood where all the houses are painted bright colors. The rental house itself is great, inside and out. If you stay in Kure Beach be sure to check out Granny's Kitchen for breakfast and lunch and Freddy's for dinner.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
