What a wonderful week in this home. The house and grounds and beautiful, the pictures really do not do it justice! It's perfectly located, only 30 minutes to Bar Harbor and even less to the park loop. The kitchen is very well equiped, there's was not one time that I needed something that they didn't have. I can't wait till we can go back!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Being an active family who enjoys outdoor activities, we found this the perfect location for our summer vacation. The home was gorgeous, with wonderful views of the sea and mountains. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and immaculate. Of particular note was the master bedroom suite, with it's oversized shower stall and screened in porch. The owner was wonderful to deal with, and was always quick to reply to any questions we had regarding the property. The town of Southwest Harbor was charming with quaint shops, several restaurants, and a short twenty minute ride away from Bar Harbor. Whether you wish to kayak, hike, swim, pick sand dollars or just pass the days with a good book, I would highly recommend this rental property.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

A wonderful seaside cottage, very well equipped and comfortable. Well located for exploring Acadia National Park, Cadillac Mountain and the Bass Harbor lighthouse, not forgetting that the best "soft shell" lobsters anywhere can be found there. Bar Harbor is not far away for a day of being a tourist. The night sky is breathtaking, stars to the far horizon. There is no reason NOT to stay at this lovely place.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, adventure seekers.

This was our first time visiting Southwest Harbor as a family of four plus our mother-in-law. In short, this is a lovely property with exceptional panaromic views of the water. We were fortunate to have excellent weather in all but one of the days. The long views with boats passing during morning coffee, mid-day lunch and at dusk over lobster chowder burnt an image in our brains creating a great memory. The owner's family has a history in the area. She's full of valuable information both prior to the rental and additional in a notebook which is there for guests to review for ideas. Great experience, we hope to return next summer.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

The photos of this house do not do it justice! It has an open spacious floor plan that is not easily seen in the photos. The screened in porch is off of the master bedroom, a wonderful haven when bugs are out. The sunrises are truly breathtaking! The waterfront is filled with rocks which kept our kids busy exploring. Our family fell in love with Southwest Harbor, partially due to this house and the wonderful advice given by the owners. They offered information on the hiking trails, restaurants, and activities suitable for our family. We will definitely make this our vacation spot for years to come!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
