My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights to celebrate our anniversary. What a wonderful home, location, and experience! This peaceful home was perfect for us while on our first trip to Homer. It made a perfect base for us to explore the Homer Spit, Seldovia, Halibut Cove, and go on a fishing trip in Ninilchik. The home is very spacious, immaculately clean, and is fully stocked with everything needed for a great getaway. There are 3 bedrooms and it has plenty of space for families. The home has large outdoor areas in the front and back; the front has lovely flowers in bloom and the backyard is fully fenced and was perfect for our dog. We enjoyed waking up every morning to beautiful views of the bay and spectacular mountains. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return again soon. We would highly recommend staying here!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

My wife and I got married on 24 May 2012 and decided to drive to Homer the next day for a mini getaway out of Anchorage for our honeymoon. I made these reservations down in Homer last minute and the owner was extremely generous and kind about working with the dates for us. The house is located on the ridgeline/hillside of Homer with amazing bay and snowcapped mountain views. The log home is custom built with large windows everywhere, no need for artificial lighting here! You wake up in the master bedroom to the full bay/mountain view each morning thinking you never want to leave this place. The master bathroom has a large 2 person jetted jacuzzi tub, quite relaxing if the weather is a bit rainy/chilli to soak the day away if you so wish. If she allows you to bring your pet, rest assure they will be entertained in the large fenced in backyard. I brought my dog and he had so much fun back there. It was just us two on this trip, however there are 2 other bedrooms downstairs with plenty of room for a large group of people. The kitchen was more than adequate with all the ammenities you would ever need. The front porch was my morning ritual. Step outside, look at your 180 degree amazing views and enjoy the call of the local cranes that were no further than 20 yards away. There were two days that you could see the volcano clear as day across the bay. We also had a wonderful experience the first day we pulled in the driveway of mother Moose and two baby calves. We watched in awe seeing mother feed the babies. So all in all, if you want a quiet, relaxing escape from the busy city this is your place. Take it all in while your in Homer. You are only a few minute drive away from downtown and the famous Homer Spit from this lovely property. You will not be dissapointed!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
