We had a lovely stay. My mother hadn't been swimming for at least 20 years and she bobbed around everyday in your pool! It was so cute to see her having such fun; in fact, we are making plans for a big, family Christmas in Venice. Is your house available?Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

Stayed here recently and WOW! Great place to spend your vacation! Beautiful home with comfy beds and plenty of room for the family. After running on the beach every morning, we ate breakfast poolside on the screened lanai. The lanai pool is perfect, with no bugs to bother you! Lay on a raft or read a book. Perfect location on Venice island - you can walk or ride your bikes from one end of the island to the other, including Sharky's at one end, and the Crown Nest at the other (go to Sharky's for lunch and fishing on the pier, and Crow's Nest for Happy Hour). The pristine beach is a block away, with private parking. The ocean is beautiful blue. A great run is from the house to the beach dune park. You can also ride your bike to the quaint downtown with little shops and restaurants. The grocery store is also a bike ride away (and fully stocked with great seafood, beer, wine, etc). Sarasota is a short drive away, too. It's a great place for a family or couples get away! Would love to spend a month here!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Spending time on Venice Island is such a treat! The beautiful scenery and endless activity opportunities make it a great place to unwind and play. This property is especially lovely. Everything in the home is charming, cared for, and comfortable. The lanai is especially great for reading. The beach is really close, too, with only a 5 minute walk to the sand. It's really easy to get around Venice--bikes will do it. It is really really fun to bike to the candy store and get ice cream, or to go to one of the great restaurants for dinner. Neighboring Sarasota is also a lot of fun. REALLY good food and a lot of cultural sites. I definitely recommend this vacation home. You will leave better than you came!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities.
