We enjoyed our stay of two nights here. We were in the first floor suite. Has everything you need. Comfortable bed, bright room, perfect size for two. Super close to Main St Manayunk section of the city and only 10 min drive to Center City/Art Museum. We will likely be back soon when staying in the area. The owners are real nice and keep a beautiful B&B.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
Owner response: thank you, we enjoyed having you.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: Joan and William White are a retired couple who after a failed attempt at a leisure retirement in Florida returned home and built the retirement home on a lot Joan had had for years. Inadvertently, it turned out to be a hotel rather than a home. Although it is perfectly appointed for owners that intended to stay there, they found it was just to big and moved to a condo. They started out with the B&B as a hobby but it is quickly turning into a full time job. It has gained and gained in popularity so much that they have had to put restrictions on the number of nites folks could stay. Joan and Bill enjoy fussing over the place and their guest. It is a symbiotic relationship for sure.
Why the Owner Chose Philadelphia:
As previously mentioned, Joan had owned this property for about 15 years and had always had the idea to build on it. Manayunk is such a great neighorhood with it wonderful Main Street and open air restaurants and clubs and other wonderful shopping. it is well located, close to center city and close to the Main Line, Chestnut Hill and the Schyukl Expressway.
The Unique Benefits at this Bed And Breakfast:
It is unusual in that there ae so many country B&B's , but it is rare to have a nice city chic spot. Many of guests come to visit their relatives, but end up having their relatives visit them at their suite instead. It is the perfect cocktail party suite with look out terrace, and it wonderfully furnished living room. it is just so cool, that their friend have family have said to them 'HOW DID YOU FIND THIS.'
