We have just returned from Sapphire Surf and one of the best girls' trips we've ever had. Ramona and Mark have gone to great lengths to think of everything for their renters. The house is in the perfect location, the amenities are fabulous and we will definitely return next year. We've been to Anna Maria before, but this was our first time at Sapphire Surf. It was the ideal place for a group of six ladies to celebrate two milestone birthdays. I just cannot say enough good things about the place. Even the neighbors were fabulous!! This was our second stay at Sapphire Surf so we knew that we could expect a great stay during our time on the island. Ramona has obviously worked hard to maintain the high standards that had already been set during our previous visit. Plenty of activities on the island from paddleboarding and kayaking to parasailing and golf, for a more relaxed pace, you can visit Leffis Key at the south of the island and explore the mangroves and boardwalks. Sapphire Surf is a very short walk to the beach and trolley stop, or you can take a stroll along Pine Avenue to explore the local boutique shops. There is also a wide choice of restaurants on the island with several being a short walk from the house. We are already planning our next visit :-)Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Returning for our second stay at Sapphire Surf we were not disappointed as Ramona continues to maintain this special place in immaculate condition with everything you'll need for your beach side vacation on the Gulf. Although the weather was cooler than usual for this time of year we still were able to walk and ride to our favorite restaurants and shops and take in the spectacular sunsets at the beach. We already have our reservation made for 2014!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is the ultimate Island Beach House!! Everything you could ever need or want is either at the house or within walking distance. Ramona is wonderful! She handled every aspect of the rental experience very professionally and with a special personal touch. We absolutely loved the home. It is perfectly located within walking distance to the Anna Maria Pier, Pine Street Shops, the Sandbar Restaurant for watching the sunset and the beach!! Looking forward to our next trip to Sapphire Surf!! This is perfect for a couple. Very clean, nicely furnished, convenient but very quiet street. I walked to the general store for the paper and a muffin in the morning and enjoyed them on the lanai. Paddle around in a warm pool, enjoy the weather and totally relax. If you like AMI, this is as good as it gets. Wish we could go back tomorrow.Did you find this review helpful? I would like to keep this one for myself. Everything was as described including the welcome phone call from the owner. We have rented vrbo several times and this home is the best. Everyone (6 to 56) was happy. House is open floor plan great for family. Pool was very nice and the screened porch was a nice gathering spot. Beach was easy walk as were several restaurants. We are coming back!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

The moment we stepped into this lovely cottage, we felt very at home, it has everything you could possible want for a very relaxing holiday. We have been to Anna Maria a few times now and the north end is our favourite, this cottage is perfect a few minutes walk to the beach and some very good restaurants, we love Rod and Reel for breakfast and the Sandbar for lunch or dinner. The communication was very good with Ramona, even down to her phoning us on the day of arrival to make sure everything was ok.Owner response: As a homeowner, I feel very blessed when my guests add a review to my VRBO website. My goal is to create an enthusiasm among my guests to enjoy our home as if it is their home as well. We had the most amazing time at the beach. The house was perfect for our family. The children loved playing in the pool and enjoyed the short walk to the beach. The owners called the day of our arrival to make sure everything was ok and they called during the week to check it. This is the first time we have used VBRO and was very pleased. We loved the added touch with the photo album that the family asked to add photos and add a description of our stay. My boys couldn't wait to take a family picture to add to it. We will definitely come back again and stay at this wonderful beach house. Thanks for making it feel like home.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent a week at Sapphire Surf in June. The photos really do not do it justice. It is a really lovely house and Ramona has thought of everything so the house was really well equipped for us spending a week by the pool and on the beach with our two young children. The house is also really well located as it's near some lovely restaurants and very close to a great stretch of beach. We really recommend the house and thoroughly enjoyed our week.Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We were so pleased with Sapphire Surf that we will definitely stay again. What a perfect little house! So cute, clean & comfortable with everything that we needed for our stay. The pool was a bonus as we had 3 young girls with us. AMI is a beautiful place and we enjoyed several restaurants but our favorite spot was the Sand Bar which is walkable from the house. The house is perfectly located on the Island as everything is nearby. I shouldn't be writing this, because I want to keep this gem to myself, but Sapphire Surf is just beautiful! The moment we walked into the house we knew this would be a perfect vacation. The house is beautifuly decorated (looks exactly like on fotos), very clean, has everything you need for cooking/bbq, enjoying the beach&pool. It's in a friendly, quiet spot on AMI. Just minutes walk to the beautiful beach, shops, cafes, the pier-also great for an evening stroll. Ramona was delightful to deal with, booking was easy. We will definitely recommend this home to our friends and hopefuly stay here soon again! We absolutely adored our time at Sapphire Surf, Ramona has put together a fantastic little home. We were only a couple of minutes walk to the beach and just steps from Pine Avenue. We took the opportunity to take the free trolley when we could (it runs about every 20 minutes), and also made use of Beach Bums to rent out a sea kayak. Our favourite restaurants on the island were, The Waterfront, Sharkey's Seagrill, Mr Bones and Eat Here. The Sandbar is also nice if you want to walk along the beach after eating to watch the sunset (the restaurant can get busy though). We would recommend this villa as ideal for families, the pool area is lovely and the screened lanai is a great place to relax in the evening. We are hoping to stay again next year!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This bright, just remodeled home is fabulous!! Ramona has thought of everything from the new furniture, appliances and pool/patio to the beach chairs and umbrella. We have been vacationing on AMI for several years and Sapphire Surf has it all. Only a 5 minute walk to the beach we were also able to walk to many of our favorite spots like The Sandbar, Sign of the Mermaid, Ginny & Jane E's and Dips. The weather was perfect and Ramona was a pleasure to deal with. We are already making plans to return in 2013!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We recently stayed at the Sapphire Surf, and had a very relaxing and enjoyable family vacation. We have 2 younger children, who loved the option of either swimming in the pool, or going to the beach. Ramona has thought of everything!! We were supplied with beach toys, a cart, towels, and an umbrella. No need to bring anything but a bathing suit! We rode our bikes all around the north end, and enjoyed every minute of it. We would DEFINITELY recommend this adorable little beach house!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.
