A Serene Retreat: Custom Log Cabin W/ Stunning Mountain Views
- Minimum stay:Contact owner
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
This custom, hand-hewn log home boasts amazing mountain views, spectacular sunrises, unforgettable sunsets and abundant wildlife viewing. A unique home with artistic touches throughout, this is a quiet, upscale retreat.
Located 90 miles from Seattle between Cle Elum and Ellensburg, the cabin is located on four private acres only 20 minutes from the summit of Blewett Pass and 45 minutes from Snoqualmie.
Its two bedrooms and loft plus two bathrooms can very comfortably accommodate six. The master bedroom, situated in the loft, allows views of the sunrise and sunset and the stars at night. You haven’t seen a night sky like this -- get a closer look at the stars with our high-powered telescope.
The cabin features a gourmet kitchen stocked with essential cooking supplies, dishes, cutlery and All Clad cookware, centered around a generous kitchen island.
You will not find a TV here, but there's plenty of entertainment. On calm nights, enjoy the backyard fire pit. A cozy reading nook offers a collection of books and views down the valley. Or simply look out the windows for abundant wildlife (wild turkeys, deer, elk -- there's even been a bobcat sighting!) and drink in the view from the couch. Stocked with games and a whole house music system, the cabin offers hours of entertainment unto itself.
For the more adventurous, there’s nearby hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, mountain biking, horseback riding and fly fishing. Use guidebooks at the cabin to plan your hike into the Wenatchee National Forest or The Enchantments Wilderness Area – we have recommendations for easy walks through the forest and challenging treks to the tops of ridges and mountains.
With access just six miles from the cabin, the Blue Ribbon Yakima River holds rainbow and cutthroat trout for the flyfisher. We can recommend talented local guides to row you down the river and help you find fish. Our neighbors at Flying Horseshoe Ranch would love to show you the Teanaway on horseback and have mounts for every level of experience. The Yakima Valley appellation boasts dozens of wineries. Taste to discover your favorite. The Bavarian-themed village of Leavenworth is over Blewett Pass and within an hour you can explore its shops and sites.

The cabin was a wonderful winter get away for my small family of 3 to meet up with our friends that also has a family of 3. We were looking for a quiet yet affordable place where we could reconnect and spend some quality time together. The cabin did not disappoint. The owners were a pleasure to deal with- always prompt with responses both over the phone and via email. Our kids loved the bunk beds and the adults appreciated them having a room so we could play games and stay up talking after they were in bed. Our only complaint is we were hoping for more comfortable beds. While they did the job a little more cushion would of been nice after a day of playing outside in the snow. All in all the cabin was clean, comfortable, well stocked and everything our party of six needed for our winter vacation. We will definitely recommend this place to friends and will be back again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We loved this warm log house with all the special touches. It was a perfect location for relaxing on the front and side porches, beautiful views. The two day hikes we did in the area were fantastic, so nice to come home to a hot shower and comfy bed. The owners were very responsive to our needs, especially since the wildfires were just being contained that week. We are really looking forward to coming back in the winter for some snowshoeing and crosscountry skiing.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We (2 adults) spent a week at this wonderful cabin (over the 4th of July). Cabin was perfect. In the morning we sat out on the east facing patio to get the early sun and watch the birds while looking over the valley. We'd then head out for hiking, bike riding, or rock hounding, all within a short drive. Evenings were spent on the west facing patio enjoying the mountain view. And in between was some time on the front porch swing! We had no issues during our stay, but based on the great communications from the owner prior to the visit, I'm sure if we had needed anything while there that she would have taken care of it immediately. Lots of wildlife sightings....hummingbirds, quail, deer, and grouse to name a few. Clear nights and no city lights made for great stargazing, too.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

This home is warm, cozy, and perfectly equipped. We enjoyed the views from each of the many windows. We loved walking through the fields and forest edge, spotting deer, elk!!, and coyotes. So many birds to see as well. We enjoyed hiking in the Teanaway valley, drove through Liberty and generally soaked up the warm mountain sunshine this spring weekend. I would recommend this home to friends and family, and would love to visit again in the snowy winter! The Sonos sound system was a plus. Thank you for all the care you took in making this place easy and relaxing.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

I was looking for a classic cabin experience to 'snow-cation' with my family for a long weekend. Having small children (2 yrs and 5 yrs), we were looking for a place a short drive from Seattle, yet far away from anything CITY, parent friendly (washing machine, kitchen, etc). We found it at this beautiful classic log cabin with modern conveniences. Only a couple hours from the city, we drove up passing wild turkeys on the property and felt immediate cozy comforts of the mountains. The house is comfortably decorated- you feel at home or at the home of a cabin decorator friend. The kitchen is well stocked with any kitchen gadget you need. Its copper coutertops, cement island and warm wood cabinets cleverly combined cabin charm with modern appeal. Our children loved its open space and radiant cement floors to twirl and dance with warmth on their feet. Built-in speakers around the cabin with iPod offered us hours of family dance-off fun! And boardgames made our stay very family friendly. Outside the cabin, we went on long walks seeing more wild turkey and many different animal tracks. The kids enjoyed going through the animal tracking books back at the cabin to identify a match. The property is quite remote with incredible views all around. Neighbors are nicely out of sight. At night, there was no sound. NO SOUND! The first night we had to get used to the quiet and the immense amount of stars in the sky. Stars, city people, stars! Windows galore made star-gazing in the wintertime very fun snuggled up with hot cocoa. We enjoyed snow shoeing up in Blewett Pass just a quick drive from the cabin and spent a day in Leavenworth driving back to the cabin at night easily. Cle Elum has a Safeway and its own charm- with a great meat shop for some good steaks. Roslyn is very enjoyable with the oldest Washington state bar and great pizza. The owner of the cabin was very pleasant. We booked short notice and she made sure to turn on the heat the day before we arrived to ensure a cozy cabin. One night my husband and I snuggled on the sofa reading books, watching our girls on the floor playing with Lincoln Logs and dreaming about one day building our own cabin escape. This place is inspiring. Thanks for sharing your cabin with our family. We enjoyed our stay celebrating an early 30th birthday for my husband. Our city kids refer to the cabin as if it is ours; they felt so at home and are starting to talk about moving out of the city. Thank you.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Our time at this fabulous log cabin was unforgettable! Being able to look out at the lovely view while having breakfast in the modern kitchen felt like a true getaway from city life. The kids (5 and 9) couldn't wait to get out on their skis for a little cross -country tour right from the doorstep. We didn't feel the need to leave for much, being cozy and relaxed in the cabin - but did pop in to town one night and it was close and easy to do. We only have good things to stay about this well- appointed, "like new" log home and all our dealings with the owners as well. Everything about the experience was top notch! We recommend it highly and can't wait to go back ourselves. Maybe one time without the kids, too!Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

My friends and I loved staying at this cabin. It was over New Years and there was beautiful exploratory skiing/snowshoeing and tromping about right out the front door. A little further up hwy 97 on Blewitt Pass we skied at Tronsen Meadows for miles of x-country skiing or, if you're ambitious you could take a great backcountry tour that might encompass Diamond Head. I understand there's great fishing near by as well. If you're not keen to adventure out, just relax and enjoy the gorgeous views. There aren't many/any restaurants near by but that doesn't so much matter since the kitchen is such a joy to cook in. The owner's are great to work with and I would certainly stay there again and recommend it to other friends and family. If you go you will enjoy it.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
