Luxurious Apartment in Heart of Paris
- Minimum stay:5 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
The Area- Located almost next to the 16th century Saint Augustin church, this apartment is very centrally placed. Across the street, there is a fantastic bakery where you can get fresh bread, pastries, breakfast and coffee everyday. There are also many great restaurants in the neighborhood, ranging from organic to Indian to classic French Bistros. You will find a list of some ones we suggest in the apartment. Around the corner is the Square St. Augustin, with the St. Augustin Cathedral majestically looming overhead, plus plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops. There is also a large Monoprix store, where you can do all of your grocery shopping. There is a spa neighboring our building where you can get massages or facials.
Location - You can walk in any direction and within 5 minutes you will be in the Madeleine area (with many gourmet shops as well as many wonderful restaurant selections), the avenue Champs Elysee or avenue Faubourg Saint Honore (all with restaurants, clubs, movie theatres and high fashion shopping), the Parc Monceau in the other direction (where you can go jogging or relaxing in the park), the Saint Lazare Train Station (where you can take the trains and metros) or the big department stores (Galeries Lafayette or Printemps) facing the Opera.
The area is truly exciting to live in and visit. Just a short metro or bus ride will get you to the Louvre, the Marais or the other areas of Paris.
There are 3 metro stops within minutes of the apartment: St Augustin (line 9), St Lazare (lines 3, 12 and 13) or Miromesnil (lines 9 and 13).
The Apartment- This luxurious two bedroom apartment is situated in one of the most affluent areas of Paris, the 8th district, close to the avenue Faubourg St. Honore. It is located on a side street, which is bustling during the day but very quiet and safe at night. The building has coded entry and a concierge.
The apartment was recently renovated and is furnished in a very comfortable yet elegant décor, with a typically Parisian mix of antiques and moderns.
The size is about 900 square feet or 92 square meters and it can comfortably sleep 4-6 people.
The flat is on the 1st floor (2nd for North Americans) of a very quiet building. Should you need, there is a typically French, small elevator but please be sure you do not put luggage in it without going in yourself. As with all French elevtaors, there are inner doors that can get blocked when luggage shifts, preventing you from opening the door.
The elegant entry has an antique sideboard as storage area for shoes and keys or other objects. As with all Parisian apartments, we ask guests to remove their shoes when entering the home so as not to disturb our neighbours.
The entry opens onto an American style kitchen which overlooks the spacious living room. The kitchen is very modern and well laid out. It is fully equipped with cooking and serving items including spices, tea and coffee.
There is seating at the granite island for up to six people.
The salon is large and inviting. After a long day of sightseeing, shopping or business, you can relax on the comfortable sofa and leather chairs of the living room, while watching TV or listening to CDs.
There is also a desk area for computer work or post card writing and a small table with chairs for additional seating or desk work.
The decor in the living room is a mix of modern sofas and chairs complimented by antique and art deco cabinets.
The first bedroom has a king size bed for a comfortable night's sleep.
There is also an art deco armoire for you to store your belongings and a dresser with mirror. We have installed a second wall mounted plasma TV in this bedroom.
The second bedroom has two twin beds, which could be pulled together to form one king sized bed if you prefer.
We also have a bookcase and desk facing the window plus a small sofa. For your convenience, there is a Victorian armoire to store your clothing.
There is an iPod player/stereo for private listening in this room.
When you enter the apartment, the toilet with sink decorated in pink and white tiles is on your immediate right.
Just after the single toilet, there is the red and white bathroom which has a bathtub and overhead shower plus an electric toilet.
Our apartment is equipped with electric heaters, air conditioning, two plasma TV's, DVD-CD surround system, internet access, phone, washer/dryer machine and all living necessities you will need to make this a perfect stay in Paris.
We love Paris and have made our home inviting with hopes that you will enjoy your days on rue de Laborde as much as we do.

Nice, quiet and safe area for a family of 4 for 10 days. “Riva” to the north was the best restaurant. We found Michel-Angelo's was horrific! Breakfast in America was good. Don't miss Parc Monceau. Great 1km running track with very slow runners! Our teenage children loved shopping in Le Marais and at Printemps, and just reading in the park. The chocolate croissants at the bakery across the street are very good! Overall a very pleasant stay. Thank you for the beautiful apartment, we all had a wonderful time.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This has been our home for the last 4 weeks and it made our time in Paris very special. The apartment is very convenient to everything, groceries, bakeries, shopping, metro etc...The apartment itself was very comfortable and spacious. Preston was wonderful taking care of some minor issues when we arrived in a very efficient manner. It really did feel like home when we came back from a nice diner out. One of my favourite restaurants close by was Le Sarladaise where the Confit de Canard is to die for. Outside the immediate area we really liked Café Tastevin on the Isle St Louis. Thanks again to Gail and Preston for making all of this happen. It has been a dream come true!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Just had 5 great days in Paris. The apartment is in an excellent location and you can walk to most of the sights. Take one of the hop on / hop off buses if you can. It is great value to get a ticket for more than one day. Great time of the year to be here with all the Christmas lights and Chalets along the Champs-Elysees. With all amenities nearby such as a Monoprix and boulangerie. Tip- Do not do Disneyland on a weekend. Thanks for having us!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Hello! We took our first family vacation to Paris this week. We loved the apartment, the central location and the overall feel of the apartment (very homey). We felt at home after a full days worth of activities, it was nice to come home to a comfortable location. It is with a sad heart that we must leave a place that feels like a second home. We will be back some day.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a wonderful stay in Paris. After many hours of sightseeing – by walking and using the metro – it was so nice to come back to the comfortable apartment. It was chilly and rainy this week, but weappreciated the sunshine on Thursday, the day we took a tour (through Viator) of the Loire Valley chateaux.Did you find this review helpful? Thank you for a wonderful place to call home in Paris. Everything was better than anticipated. To echo others, we enjoyed returning to the apartment each day after being typical tourists. We had rain, sunshine and it all worked out.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

It is with great sadness that we end our holiday in Paris. We have had a fantastic experience. This flat has been perfect for our needs and incredibly central. We would recommend a walk up to Place de la Concorde, a stroll through the Tuileries Gardens, the Orangerie for the beautiful Monet's, the Pompidou centre for modern art, Bon Marché for fantastic shopping and visiting Notre Dame for the most amazing view over Paris.Did you find this review helpful? About the owner: Perfectly Paris manages the apartment for us.
Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 8:
This is the most exciting destination. We are steps from the St. Augustin Church, an impressive cathedral and the At. Agustin square with many cafes, bakeries, shops and convenient stores as well as metro. The apartment is in a solid all stone, Haussmanian building, known for their beauty and structure- it stays nice and cool in the summer. It is on a side street, so very quiet at night- good for a restful sleep!
Paris is wonderful! Year round there are exciting events, expositions, concerts, dances and theater events going on, so plenty of entertainment, shopping and sightseeing as well as art and wonderful cuisine!
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
Love to get the best coffee and fresh pastries every morning from the bakery across the street (They have jams and specialties from Corsica) then set out to discover some new neighborhood of Paris or go to an event.
