  This was the best Maine vacation ever! From the moment that we arrived, we were greeted by Jerry, our Host. We were both in awe of the magnificent view as Jerry gave us a tour of the property and house. He had prepared a detailed booklet, with instructions on using all the appliances, stereo, t.v., computer hookup and suggestions for places to eat, buy seafood, places to visit. This was very helpful! Jerry was also helpful in answering any questions we had during our stay, by phone. The house was very clean, bright, spacious, comfortable and very private. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked with the necessary items one would need.There was a nice variety of CD's to listen to for the stereo and books to read.The dining area was also spacious and had a wonderful view of the water and islands, pine trees. The furniture was very comfortable! We enjoyed sunning, reading, and eating on one of the 2 decks. We enjoyed taking short day trips, but spent lots of time enjoying the house and mesmerizing view. We enjoyed watching the sail boats, lobster boats in the harbor and sea gulls flying by our windows. It was fun to cook lobsters in the special gas fired lobster cooker on the back deck.We were able to purchase the freshest seafood a couple miles away. There was a nice park nearby with a beach & lots of picnic tables and many places to walk. This was a great location, because it was close to so many interesting places to visit. We enjoyed this vacation rental so much that we have already booked it for a month next year, so that our Children and Grandchildren can have the experience. This was a real find! We would recommend it to our family, friends or anyone who would enjoy a beautiful vacation in Maine with a VIEW!!!

  "Upon arrival we were greeted and welcomed by Jerry. We had a nice visit with him as he introduced us to his amazing rental home which was to be our home for 2 weeks. He also had a welcoming gift of [Maine] blueberries. The house with its wonderful view was even better than the pictures..." "We all had a great time. Jerry has prepared his rental house in an exceptional way and we would certainly com back except for the long trip to get here."

  "The house itself showed a lovely view onto the inlet every morning. The surrounding area is also very good for walking and for meeting new people. A local store that was really great was the Keag Store: it has a fantastic breakfast and prices almost too good to believe!"

  Private, yet near everything, this home has it all. Massive windows and comfortable furniture to enjoy the view and keep an eye on the many lobster boats returning from a day of hauling. Lobster in the rough available at multiple nearby locations. We cooked dinners at home and found everything necessary from pie plates to lobster crackers. New laundry facilities keep the need for packing too many clothes, and box fans keep the air in the bedrooms fresh throughout the night. Plenty to see and do in the area within 15 minutes. We highly recommend for a relaxing Maine coast vacation. Perfect setting for your pet as well. Ours loved it.

  Don't think you can find a better view anywhere...great property, everything you need in the kitchen even though we only used it for a few breakfast's. Quiet peaceful area. We ate out every night for the week at casual lobster places and the elegant and casual Primo restaurant in Rockland, one of our best dining experiences ever.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

  This house is awesome! The pictures are great, but it is even better in person. My husband and I have rented many nice homes over the past several years from VRBO, but this one is the best of the bunch. The homeowner thought of every possible need for incoming guests. The house is well maintained inside and out. The kitchen was organized, very well supplied, and a breeze to cook in. The views are beautiful and the light that comes in through the huge windows washes over the entire house. Lots of wildlife and stars to view through the telescope setup in the livingroom. Hopefuly, our family will have an opportunity to return next year. Completely enjoyed!!
