Our stay was exactly as we intended... this is a great location/proximity to the downtown area of Hot Springs however tranquil/remote. The view of the river is spectacular, it almost seems the cabin is strategically placed to view the river during the morning sunrise off the deck and then in the evening its cool with the sun setting behind the cabin... we spent more time on the deck than in the cabin... watched the birds and squirrels, boats on the water and enjoyed an early summer break. The cabin is well appointed and very comfortable. Directions to the cabin were a mini adventure however cabins are supposed to be remote and somewhat difficult to find... also there are neighbors very close by however non disturbing. A must stay for sure. We will return again someday soon.

This cabin was quaint, nestled in the trees on the side of a hill overlooking the river. It was a clean cabin, and very quiet. If you are looking to get away from the "real" world, this is a great place. Pros: Quiet Peaceful Pretty scenery Clean Cons: The price quoted isn't the real price, because it doesn't include the cleaning fee. Make sure you add that to the cost before you settle on this cabin. My husband and I chose this cabin because it was in our budget, but after the cleaning fee, it was over. Smaller than the pictures make it seem No dishwasher/washer or dryer, WiFi or cell reception (T-Mobile and At&t)

I just wanted to make it clear there are no "hidden fees", the price I quote you is the price you pay. True, the nightly rate shown does not include the fee, but it is listed and you are aware of it before you pay. I have cell phone reception for AT&T and straight talk on my phones, it can be spotty because it is a remote location.

This cabin was unbelievable to me my 5year old my friend girl and her 5 year old...when we 1st laid eyes on this spot we were too overwhelmed...it was very clean and quiet....the place looks wayyyyyy better than the photos....it is a must see!!!!!!!

We currently live in a very busy city with lots of noise and traffic. This wsa the moste peaceful place to go and stay. The ability to be upon that bluff and overlook the water and mountains and to enjoy the quiet atmosphere was just the most relaxing weekend ever. We were able to take our dog and she was just as relaxed as we were. Thanks again for such a nice weekend.

Relaxing get away

The cabin was just as it appears in the pictures. The area is quiet and definitely is a place to relax. There were plenty of places to walk safely. Everything was close by yet the cabin felt remote. The neighbors are pleasant and hospitable. I would recommend this cabin for a relaxing get away. Our dog loved the area...we could hardly get him to come inside!

Rebel Stakes Weekend

We had a great stay at the cabin. It was just what we needed. My wife and I came to town for the Rebel Stakes and had a blast. This cabin may seem a little out of the way but it's not. It took us less than 10 minutes to get to the track and it is from a little back road behind the track so you actually avoid all the traffic, it was great! The cabin had everthing that you needed with a lake view to boot! The owner was quick to answer any questions that I had before the stay and on the day of arrival she was just as helpful. I would highly recommend this place.

My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at the cabin. We wanted to get away from the cold and snow and it was beautiful in Hot Springs. The cabin was just as described. It was very clean, semi secluded and close to town. Our dog Charley loved it also. We definitely recommend this cabin. The only sad part is that we had to go home to 10 inches of snow.

We had a great two days at the Cabin. I'm from Ohio, but working a contract here in AR for the next year. My Girlfriend flew in Thursday so I thought it would be nice to get away. I sent an email inquiring about the cabin, but thinking no way could I get it in a day. Melanie called me a little later and said it's yours. It was the perfect getaway. We just wanted to hang out there instead of going out. Hope to come back soon.

Great quiet cabin with view - all you need

Cabin was exactly as described. The motion light was installed by our stay on Thanksgiving so that was very helpful. My husband and I cook on vacation and we had everything we needed to prepare our meals. Mel was very hospitable and actually refunded our deposit within hours of checkout! Great experience and highly recommend. There were deer outside every night in the lawns - bonus! Oh, Sprint roams at the cabin (and in most of Hot Springs) so be aware that you may not have cell phone service at the cabin. But you really are minutes from Hot Springs if you need to pick up a signal.

Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Secluded, Relaxing and GREAT for dogs.

Me, my Mother and our two dogs, Minny & Maddy (labs), stayed here for a week 10/27 thru 11/3. We loved the place. Our main objective was to find a place where our dogs were also comfortable and could enjoy the place without having to be locked up or on a leash 24/7. THIS IS THE PLACE. Although there is a house right next door that you share a yard with, the owner was only there a few times (he is fixing it up) and he loves dogs. The other homes (about 7 in all) all have friendly dogs and a few came to visit every day. The house is very, very clean and very cozy. The sun room has a day bed that folds out and is very comfortable. The A/C and heat work great and each room has a ceiling fan. I spent every morning on the deck, drinking my coffee, enjoying the view of the lake and watching our girls chase squirrles (they slept the entire trip back to Houston) The cabin is only 5 minutes from Bath House Row, which is so convienent. I give this house a 100...the only thing that would have made it better would have been some security lights where we park and in front of the house. As I said, it is secluded, so very dark, and I am a chicken, especially when I can't see what's seeing me LOL.....We will be renting here many more times in the future. This cabin is perfect if you are looking to get away for a few days, whether it be for a romantic get away or an adventurous trip! The area is very quiet with a couple of good views of the lake. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. You are still close enough to downtown Hot Springs and Hot Springs National Park and just a few minutes drive from Lake Catherine State Park for some wonderful hiking trails. Also, try the Fisherman's Wharf for dinner one evening. It was delicious with an excellent view. Overall, it was a great experience, a great cabin, and I would definitely recommend it!

This semi-private cottage was the perfect place to relax and unwind! the fishing dock was close by as well as Lake Catherine State Park and downtown Hot Springs. It was clean and everything was as listed in the description. It was great having our pups along on our adventure. Thank you for the hospitality!

The cabin was exactly as listed! Clean, remote (but only 4-5 miles to the great shopping & restaurants of Hot Springs), gorgeous view, COMFY bed, just a really awesome place to re-charge and relax! a clean and quite place to stay

me and my wife had planned a get a way at the last min. (Sunday night, LOL) we sent a e- mail and that night. hadn't heard anything, so we had decided to get up in faith and go worse case, we find another place, or we just go for a long drive had a drive..lol. but the next day morning around 8'ishMelanie called and said that the place was vacant for the days we had requested. we for some reason I was having trouble paying on line. so she told me not to worry we work it out when we got there... she was a sweet hart (smile). when we arrived and went inside it was VERY CLEAN, better then any hotel LOL it had everything we needed. we hope we can stay there again if we return to hot springs. it will be the first place we call.. thanks Dave, Diane and Leo the dog.

My family and I just spent an awesome weekend here. The cabin is exactly as it looks. Everything about it was great. Furnished with anything you may need. We brought our boat, and it was a short ride to Lake Hamilton and Lake Catherine. Thanks Melanie, for a great weekend stay.... we will definately recommend.

We booked this place last minute and it was exactly what we were looking for: quiet, secluded, cute and cozy. It was perfectly clean when we arrived and the owner had left us champagne because I had mentioned we were on our honeymoon. We and our two dogs had a great time here. We spent most of our time on the deck and around the firepit. Highly recommended for a romantic relaxing vacation!

This is a very nice, secluded cabin. It was very quiet, and very clean. The size was cozy, yet big enough for two adults, two kids, and two large dogs. Thank you for a great stay.

My wife and I were looking for a nice quiet cabin in the Hot Springs area, we had a long weekend and needed to getaway. We found this one, which was about 4.5 miles from Hot Springs. We found it to be very clean quiet and peaceful. Our first night there we had left to go eat and when we returned there were two deer and four rabbits in the yard. I would recommend this to family and friends.
