Tastefully decorated in a Northwest theme, our bright and airy vacation house offers all of the comforts of home. Enjoy an afternoon barbeque on the back deck, cozy up to a good book by a comfy fire in our rock fireplace, or relax and take in the ocean view from the enclosed front sitting porch.
We are in the Maple Beach area of Point Roberts, just five houses from Boundary Bay, a warm water, sheltered bay that is very safe for children. Beachcomb, build sandcastles, jump puddles and ride your skimboard at low tide, or enjoy a refreshing swim in the warm, calm bay waters as the tide returns.
Take a beach hike around picturesque, secluded Lily Point, or drive over to Lighthouse Park for a chance viewing of one the whale pods that inhabit the local waters on the other side of Point Roberts.
Just below the 49th Parallel, Point Roberts unique geographic locale adds to its old fashioned charm. Separated from the Continental U.S. by a portion of BC, Canada, if you're coming from Washington, it's an easy 23-mile drive through Canada via the Blaine border crossing.
With its own small, dedicated border crossing separating the "Point" from the lower mainland of BC, Point Roberts is its own little gated community!
We are centrally located only ten minutes from the ferry to Vancouver Island (Victoria, BC), twenty minutes to Vancouver International Airport, and a half hour from the cosmopolitan city of Vancouver, BC, Canada, home to the 2010 Winter Olympics. Come to do it all, or just to relax and get away!

Wonderful experience at Maple Beach

Our family has enjoyed this lovely home for 4 summers now! We enjoy the home, with it's well stocked kitchen, lovely decks & very short walk to the beach. It is comfortable and roomy for our family ( 2 adults & 3 children). Our favorite things to do when we are at Maple Beach is walk on the sand bars, go for bike rides, swim, kayak, go to Light House Park to look for whales. We like to see the kite sailors, and always think of new things we want to try when we are there (paddle boarding & sail boarding). This past summer, we saw the moon rising over Mount Baker, it was incredible. This is a gem. Highly recommend this home.

Maple Beach and Alder Street were absolutely delightful places to stay. The house was charming, the neighbours friendly and helpful. We fell totally in love with the Point--and partly because we were staying in the best place on the Point! We will be back.
Owner response:This was a long-term (13-month) rental. They enjoyed their stay so much that they ended up buying their own retirement home on the Point!

My friend & I traveled from California to the Vancouver area and found this wonderful and charming home to stay in during our vacation. Although it is less than a half hour away from Vancouver, we felt we were hours away from the hectic pace of the city (yet still very close if we wanted to go into the city and sightsee). We were so enchanted with the beauty of the Pt. Roberts area and with the loveliness of our temporary home, we stayed put. We are very appreciative and want everyone to know this is a fabulous place to stay... a few seconds walk to the beach and a wonderful view of the distant mountains and Vancouver as well. We can't wait to go back for another holiday! The owners make it a place you would want to visit again and again!

The house was very welcoming and quite suitable for a family with 2 small children. We made the walk to Maple Beach several times and the kids REALLY enjoyed the shallow (mostly warm) water. We can't wait to return and we would certainly stay at this house again!!
