We rented 7 pines for an extended family vacation. We had 8 adults and 6 children and it was the perfect amount of space with the adults all having a queen bedroom and the kids in a great bunk bed room. We loved the extra seating on the deck and the kitchen wes very well stocked. We also appreciated the industrial ice maker and extra fridge in the basement. The owners and caretaker were all very easy to work with and I would recommend this house for larger groups.

Weekend fit for a President
Weekend fit for a President
We had a wonderful time at 7 Pines over Presidents weekend. Our 3 families have been getting together for 5 years for a winter break and this year was over the top. From the time we checked in we felt welcomed as if we were in our own home. The view as you walk in the front door stops you in your tracks as you see the towering pine trees and a beautiful view of the lake. The bedroom and bathrooms were like having your own suite in a hotel. Fresh linens, large showers, and of course the heated floors. We definitely felt spoiled. The accommodating kitchen was in use almost all the time. After we would eat our main meal, someone would be making a snack and soon the next meal was being started. It had everything we needed to keep our crew fed and happy. The living area was the main hang out for talking, watching movies and taking naps. It, as was the rest of the home, more than we had hoped for. The home is like a 5 star resort that you want to go back to again and again. We are very grateful to these families for sharing their home with us and we hope to return next winter for another amazing time away at 7 Pines.

This home is even better than we had imagined! We went for our annual girls weekend and didn't want to leave. This lake home has everything you could ever want, the owners have thought of it all. It is spacious, warm, nicely decorated and the setting is so peaceful. It feels like being in your own home, maybe even better! Thank you for letting us enjoy this wonderful home and we look forward to next year!

Amazing up north get-a-way!
I've had the privilege of staying at this property and had a WONDERFUL time! It is immaculate and very accommodating to large groups. It has a beautiful view of the lake and has everything you could think of for a nice stay up north. No need to bring much other than yourselves, the owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable! The kitchen is very spacious for cooking, the home is fully furnished, the sauna house is over the top and the walking paths nearby are very scenic and picturesque. My friends and I have had a blast and hope to go again soon!

About the owner: There are two families that own this property togther. Togther, we have 10 children, so many weekends we will have groups in excess of 20 people made up of family and friends. We are very busy back home with every activity imaginable ranging from sports, to music, to outside interests, to work. We love to spend time at the lake, but find we can't use the property every weekend.
Why the Owner Chose Brainerd:
We chose to buy this home on Miller Lake because it was ideally located from the Twin Cities, and has an absolutely beautiful setting. We can leave our home in the Twin Cities and literally be on the water at our lake in less than 2 hours. The property is located in a very private setting on the lake given we are at the very end of Miller Lake Road, and with only 20 other homes on the lake, we don't have to compete with a lot of water traffic for skiing and fishing. While we have that remote and tranquil feel of the property, we are close enough to many other activities we might want to do from time to time, like golf. For example, we will golf most weekends and can get in 18 holes at a number of beautiful courses, and still be back home before 10:00 AM so we can enjoy the day on the water. Simply put, we bought this property to enjoy time with our family and friends without all the hassles involved with planning and traveling to other destinations. Everything we need is already at the property. We named the property 7 Pines due to the 7 large white pines on the property between the home and the lake. These beautiful pines really set the tone for the beautiful lakeside views.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We enjoy all the conveniences of home up at 7 Pines but in a very tranquil setting where we just get to enjoy the company of our family and friends. A day doesn't go by without us taking a cruise on the lake for a happy hour on our pontoon. Spending those few hours enjoying a few drinks, appetizers, music, and the great weather is one of the most relaxing things you can do. Also, given the location of the property, we will frequent a number of restaurants and bars that are within 10 minutes of the home. Here, we can catch up with a number of other acquaintances from around the area.
