Come and enjoy hip and trendy Jersey City while relaxing in a restored historic Arts & Crafts Mansion convenient to New York City, just a 15 minute subway trip by PATH. The owners reside on the premises and can point you in all the right directions for fun filled activities.
This quaint apartment, a converted doctor’s office; features an off street private entrance, 1 bedroom with queen bed, television with basic cable, large closet and a large fabulous master bath. Living room is furnished. The apartment sleeps one to two.
The modern efficiency kitchen features a gas stove, refrigerator, microwave and sink. All bed linens and towels are provided as well as coffee, tea and hot/cold cereal items.
For your convenience, there’s a Laundromat 1 block away that offers wash, dry and fold service There is a full service salon and spa just a few blocks walk.
The Post Office and bank are at the corner. The bus that brings you to shopping area and the PATH train to NYC stops at the corner or you can take a leisurely walk directly to the train. There is taxi service available by telephone that can pick you up and bring you to any destination. Jersey City is home of the Liberty Science Center, JC Museum, numerous art galleries, great transportation including PATH train to NYC as well as ferries to The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. For your dining pleasure, there are all kinds of restaurants of every ethnic cuisine.

For our visitors delight we have reduced the daily rental to offset the economic woes of 2012. We are now offering specials of $125 per night and if you rent for 7 days you will receive 1 night free ($750 for 7 nights). Please note that rates are higher for holidays such as 4th of July; Thanksgiving and Christmas through New Year's Day.

First of all the owner is very friendly and understands what you need, apartment is clean and neat. Laundry service is 1 block away; bus stop is 1 block away and there is a beautiful park 2 blocks away which is really good for morning and evening walk. Neighborhood is very quite and safe, separate entrance to the apartment so there is no disturbance to you. Owner makes the Check in process very easy and fast. First I am so sorry Mike it took so long to post this!!! I contacted Mike less than 36 hours before my arrival. I have been on the road for more than 2 weeks from Vegas to Jersey and still had no place to live and I was getting nervous. Mike got back to me pretty quickly and said the place was free for the 11 days I needed and we booked! The check in process was the easiest I have had out of any hotel or other rental. He met myself and my daughter at the apt to show us where to park and to show us around the apt. He gave us the info on the neighborhood and welcomed us to his home. My daughter and I enjoyed a very peaceful stay while there. We had groceries and food delivered with no problem. Anytime I had a question or problem I could text Mike and he got right back to me. The apt was as described. We had our own entrance, the kitchen and the ability to cook was fantastic. It was cozy and although we had a place to park across the street most times we were able to use the street parking. Just watch the signs for the street cleaning so you don't get a ticket. I would stay again and would also refer people to stay with Mike. The location is excellent for one or two people, safe and secure and close to transportation. We were abel to get to Journal Square to take the path into the city and back with no problems at all! My son an I stayed at this apartment for five days. It was pleasant surprise to find the apartment exactly as advertised. It was spotlessly clean with all the amenities required. Michael was a very friendly host & was very helpful with directions for transportation and shopping. The apartment is located in a very quiet neighborhood. The local bus stop was at the end of the road, and for $1:50 takes you to Journal Square to catch the PATH train to NYC. The train cost was $2:00 each way. All in all, this was the perfect place to use as a hub for visiting NYC & the surrounding areas of New Jersey. I thoroughly recommend it for anyone wishing to have a cheaper visit to NYC. We will certainly use this apartment again, if and when we return.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+.

what a great saty i had when i was there , it really sweeted my heart and made me feel very happy after getting out from all my troubles at work. Thank you Mike for your hospitality , for your kindness and above all for the tasty roasted chicken. I felt so relaxed especially on that big nice cozy bed or sitting watching TV in the living room listening to music on the candle lights. it is really one of the best places i ever stayed at.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

I'm happy to report on my stay here for several weeks this summer. I found the landlord to be honest, friendly, and a real straight shooter, which makes a big difference for me. He also responded promptly to any questions or issues I had (which were very few). I appreciated that he went the extra mile to ensure I knew of local groceries, restaurants, driving shortcuts and highways, etc. Unlike some places I've visited, the apartment is just as you see in the photos - a very roomy, clean 1-bedroom place with very nice hardwood floors and well-appointed furniture. As I was there in the summer, I really loved that the apt. has a strong air-conditioner and the place stayed cool, as it's on the ground floor. Finally, the availability of a parking spot also set this place apart from many others I've seen, especially in Jersey City. It was great to be so close to NYC, but also have a car so close by without worrying about parking spaces and walking several blocks. And for heading to the city, a couple of bus lines run within a block of the apartment, and are a short ride to the PATH train. (Basically, a long walk or a short ride, but the bus proved to be cheap and easy.)Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car.

I enjoyed my stay so much. All facilities of comfort were available, from neat furniture, kitchen supplies, sports machines, telecom, in addition to the convenient space and nice surrounding. It was such a pleasure to be hosted by such friendly people who took care of us and made sure we are comfortable and never hesitated to respond to our requests. I had the chance to be accomodated at this appartment for 2 weeks. I must admit that I was impressed the moment I stepped into it. the main door leads to to a living room, elegantly furnished and open to a completly equipped kitchenette with a bar that fits for 2 persons minimum. One can enjoy the light setting in the room according to the mood. You can't also avoid enjoying the refreshing and relaxing scents the owner have spread in the entire appartment. The bed room is very cozy. The queen size bed is very comfortable. Very relaxing with adjustable light and tv facing the bed. There are plenty of space for your luggage as there are two closets fitted in the walls. The bathroom is elegant and has all what you may need. The white color of the paint with the light setting create a very nice ambiance. The appartment has a good location. It is 4 min walk from Lincoln park, surrounded by various shops for all your needs, and Journal Square is only 10 min walk so you can take the Path and explore Jersey City as well as NYC. The excellent hospitality of the owner and his cooperation led to an excellent stay in this appartment which I highly recomend for a short and even long term stay. If you can’t afford the prices in New York or want more space and value for the money, this is a great option! An excellent one bedroom, fully furnished and comfortable apartment, with separate living room, bathroom and toilet, kitchen, closet spaces and free cable and internet (unheard of in apartment buildings) with electricity and hot water all inclusive and at a very affordable price. It is located in a quiet neighborhood with reasonable cost-of-living. Transportation is varied and very convenient, you can easily get bus rides to manhattan, downtown jersey city, the path, grocer stores, laundry amenities convenient restaurants and many more. You can get around without having a car. The landlord is very nice, warm, easy to get along with and very efficient. My stay here was very short, regretfully and I would move right back in on my next visit to New York!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.
