  While you've already made the decision to visit the beauty and wonder of the Monterey Peninsula, a region that is all it is said to be, the next important question is where to stay during your visit. Our four day stay in Pacific Grove was a part of a three week drive up the California coast (from San Diego to San Francisco), so the four of us wanted to see as much of each area of our planned stops (five total) as well as enjoy the local 'flavor' of each location. We could not have done better in selecting the condo owned by Donna and Bob Smith in Pacific Grove for meeting our needs. First of all, it was situated about ten minutes from California's scenic Highway 1, which allowed us quick access to travel south to Big Sur and north to Santa Cruz (and all points in between) and only five minutes from the ocean, Cannery Row, the Monterey Bay Aquarium and what we felt was a well kept secret - the historic downtown of Pacific Grove (the Smith's also saved us time by recommending some great restaurants). The condo itself reflected the personal touch of the owners, combining a beautifully decorated as well as a comfortable "home away from home." Situated in a small, quiet and gated community, it was the ideal place to relax after traveling about most of the day as well as being able to even be within walking distance of our grocery needs (we enjoyed it so much we even decided to stay 'home' one night to have a home cooked meal and play a board game). For us, renting this condo was the perfect decision - other than coming to the Monterey Peninsula. G. 'Bob' White Chagrin Falls, Ohio

  My husband and I, and our 3 year old son "moved in" to this property while we were awaiting permanent living arrangements in the area. Because we were actually moving to the area and were going to be staying in temporary lodging for over a month, it was important that we found something that felt like home, especially with our little one in tow. I can say that this condo fit the bill beautifully! It had everything we needed and more! We were easily able to settle in to our everyday life here as well as get to know the area quite well. Safeway is less than a 5 minute walk as well as a French cafe and some other stores. Trader Joe's is also around the corner. The home is situated in a convenient location to the highway and to downtown activities, as well as the Navy Postgraduate School, which my husband drove to daily. The bedrooms are separated from one another in the home so it would be perfect for two couples because you actually end up having your own "wing" of the house. It also worked great for our son, who had his own room with his own bathroom, too! The deer roam freely thorough the gated community and it was great fun for us to see them each evening around dinner time! Highly recommend this rental for long OR short stays!   The condo is beautiful, well-maintained, spacious, and welcoming. Staying there felt like a luxurious time away from home. The state-of-the-art kitchen made every meal a pleasure. The two secluded patios are a bonus. The condo is tucked within lovely grounds, like an oasis and yet, stores and restaurants are within a short walking distance. Especially wonderful is Patisserie Bechler, giving you a taste of Paris within Pacific Grove. The owners are friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend staying here for a wonderful stay on the peninsula.

  The condo has a great lay out; the bedrooms are on either side of the unit giving a lot of privacy and each bedroom has it's own bath. It is beautifully appointed and feels like a real home, not a rental. The kitchen is well equipped with everthing you might need to prepare a gourmet meal. The location is close to shopping, attractions, beaches and every type of restaurant you can imagine. There isn't any thing that is lacking in the condo or the location. It has it all; we were even greeted by deer roaming the property upon our arrival. I will definitely go back!

  Had a wonderful weekend stay in this beautiful Pacific Grove condo. The condo itself is beautifully decorated, spacious and very comfortable. It's in a great location; in a quiet gated community. Close to downtown Pacific Grove, Carmel and Monterey. Also in walking distance to a nearby shopping center. The owners are delightful people and very helpful, providing tips and suggestions for the nearby area. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.
