Alynn Place was perfect for us! We enjoyed the comfortable living room, well-stocked kitchen and the kids loved the jet-tub. The backyard pool and easy fishing spot in the canal made us not want to leave home. We hope to come back soon!Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Unit is beyond all expectations. Very comfortable, great amenities. Both bedrooms have a nice large bed - although I had to jump to get onto one of them (they sit up high). I can't say enough about how great it was to have such a great place to relax at night & to prepare breakfast in the morning. The washer/dryer made packing light for the trip easy. The main shower is a very nice walk-in shower and I loved how open and large it is. The rental agent called me the arrival day and told me not to hurry as we were driving down that day; she would leave the key & info in their drop box -- wonderful service! I met the owners as they were in town and they are great people. We had rainy weather (thanks to Hurricane Sandy) for a couple days & the duplex was great for sitting and reading -- the TV area chairs suck you in and are great for reading. The rest of the time, we enjoyed home-base Marathon and went both directions on the Keys driving to see a lot of great sites. Taking the 2--person kayak out from the canal was a blast. I wish the wind and rough water wouldn't have kept us off the water for so much of the visit... again, thanks to the effects of Sandy. Most of the time, I can see that this location would be a great place if you bring your boat or rent one. The canal is protected, but easy in/out to the open water. Pool is very nice to have as a small place to sit & soak. You can swim in the canal, but we had unusually cool weather so I didn't. The beach is an easy 5 minute drive away and has incredible sand. For eating, I highly recommend Sunset Grill (South, just before the 7-mile bridge) and The Island Fish Co (back to the North a few miles). Lazy Days was very good also - do other 2 first. Keys Fisheries was okay (more of an outside fast-food style- good lobster reuben). I thought the Plaza Grill was overpriced, underwhelming food, snobby people (just because I wanted a beer versus their wine) -- food wasn't worth it. Go to the ones I listed above instead. Publix is a better grocery than Winn Dixie -- bigger, cleaner, more selection. Sweet Savannah's isn't cheap, but the cupcakes are excellent -- we visited a few times.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a absolutely wonderful stay. The house was very nice. It was nice to have extra freezer space for our bait. We brought our boat and went out everyday to go diving and fishing. It was easy access to the Gulf. My grandson loved the pool and we enjoyed it, too. I'm sure we will make a return trip. Thank you, Lucy & DonRecommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I have been staying in Marathon for years and this rental was by far the best we have ever stayed in. I would highly recommend this to anyone! The pictures do not do is justice. From the moment we stepped into the door I knew I was in for a week of pleasure and luxury. Leslie and the staff at American Caribbean Real Estate were extremely accomodating and went above and beyond to assure we had a pleasant experience. The unit was extremely clean and well furnished. You definately get "bang for your buck" here! The Master Bathroom with the walk in shower (dual and over head shower heads) was so nice after boating and basking in the sun all day. The kitchen and bathrooms with the beautiful granite countertops were like something from a luxury resort. The furnishings and decorations were an added plus. We really enjoyed having the dock for our boat and the awesome pool just out the back doors. The Gulf View from the front porch made for awesome views of the sunset. Seriously, all you need to bring with you is your beach towel and sunscreen....everything else is right there. The K-Mart, Winn Dixie and Publix nearby had anything else we need for fishing and eating!! We will be back and I cannot thank Leslie and her staff for providing us with such "royal treatment". Oh, and the security deposit was promptly refunded!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We stayed at this property for five nights this month. Was myself, spouse and adult son. The home is absolutely beautiful and is even nicer than pictures. Very clean and nice furnishings. I can't think of any negatives to post. The pool is small but was ok for our purposes. Great fish caught off the dock, canal is clean and son enjoyed snorkeling in it. Quick trip by boat to some local restaurants. Definately one of the nicer rentals we have stayed at in the keys and definately would like to return. Also dog friendly.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

Just wanted to tell you that we had a wonderful vacation; the duplex was marvelous. The pictures on-line do not show how luxurious the place is and what a great location. The kitchen is well equiped with plenty of dishes, pots, pan and even dog bowls. The pool and hot-tub were just the perfect size for a family of four and even though we did not have a boat, the dock was great. The location was quiet, relaxing and close to everything - groceries, K-Mart, restaurants, marinas, beaches and scuba shops. There is a super view of the ocean from the front door- just walk across the street and there it is. Setting up the rental was easy and straight forward. The check-in and check-out was streamlined and fast. Don't hesitant - you won't be sorry!Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This house is fantastic. I stayed on Alynn Place in July of 2007 and loved it so much I stayed again in August of 2008. What I love most about this house is when you are vacationing with another couple, both couples get a master bed and bath. The pool and hot tub are great. Specially after a day at the beach or on the boat. We rented a boat for the week from a local marina. My husband loved that. We caught many fish and lobster. I can not say enough about this house and the property management. All was A++Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
