  I stayed here in late January for 3 days while attending a family reunion. I don't usually write VRBO reviews but as the weeks have passed since I was there, I feel compelled to write about "A Room With A View". It was such a welcome respite from the cold snowy Northeast where I live - I've longed to go back there again! Mark was really helpful in guiding me there and providing extra advice on how to take advantage of Carmel. I had never spent any time in the area and with the help of the owners, I felt like I got the "local experience." The Carmel Belle was the perfect place for breakfast and I would not have thought to go to the Carmel Valley for lunch - sitting outside in the courtyard tasting wine at the Corkscrew was like being in a French country home. The view from my room was truly spectacular and as the temperatures approached 75 degrees, I almost went into the pool. The bed was so comfortable, I had to ask the owners where they got it as I intend to replace mine as soon as I can! I look forward to going back to MY room with a view and feel like I had to share this jewel. Kathy from the Adirondacks

  This place is a total WOW The unit has everthing 2 people would need for a great stay and is more than the photos showed. Start with a world class sparkly in the fridge and amenities the are in perfect taste; it is beautifully furnished and it is immaculate. The Owner was avalable for anything we needed. To simply call this "a room with a view" is a gross understatement. This same room with a view at one of the local hotels would cost $275.00 to $350.00 per night. It is that good. And of course, once you step outside the Room, the worders of nature will be all around you. The Magic of Carmel/Monterey Bay, the incredible shore line plus the great restaurant list that Mark (the owner) provides will make for a once in a lifetime experience. • Quiet and close to everything

  My husband and I stayed here for the weekend and were amazed how quiet and close to everything this beautiful place was. We were able to walk around downtown and go to Monterey all within about 5 minutes or less. I have to say that the owners have thought about it all, they include passes to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, to 17 Mile Drive and also have a pass for parking if you would like to go hiking at the nature parks. They have also included some GREAT resturant suggestions as well. The property was very clean and modern. I loved the wood floors and the bed was so comfortable! I will be sure to recommend this property to anyone looking to get away, explore and relax becuase it sure does let you do all of these things at once. Thank you so much for renting out your property and letting everyone enjoy a slice of what you own. Sheree and Dennis

  Our stay in this room was lovely. The decor was immaculate-- the colors, designs, furniture, bedding, layout came together perfectly, and there is a high level of attention to detail. The kitchen was stocked with cookware, breakfast spreads, plates, and a bottle of wine. Very thoughtfully, there was even a tupperware container for our use. Right outside of the room is an in-ground pool which gets sunlight the whole day, and from the patio you can see out over the valley and to Point Lobos-- a stunning view! The location of this room is excellent. From the room it is possible to walk to the Carmel Mission, the beach (again, so beautiful!!), and Point Lobos and other attractions are a very short drive away. This was a wholly enjoyable stay, and we highly recommend this room!

  I expected the place to be nice but it is truly a Carmel gem. When my friend and I arrived, we were greeted with a bottle of wine and a cozy romantic studio. It was hard leave --even for dinner! The studio was so comfortable, luckily there was fresh ground coffee and a spectacular view to entice us to explore. The location is very convenient. The proximity to all that Carmel has to offer was terrific. Within 10 minutes we were able to shop, eat, and hike along the coast. The studio is connected to one of the most beautiful houses and is very private. It was perfect for a weekend get away. The outdoor garden/patio area and pool were a big plus. We are definitely returning to this studio the next time we come to Carmel.

  My girlfriend and I spent 3 nights at this gem. Easy to find and just a great spot to serve as homebase for adventures or just to "hang out". Very close to downtown Carmel, and a very quick trip to Monterey Aquarium, Cannery row etc. We saw 17 Mile Drive and also took a drive down scenic HWY 1 to Big Sur. The studio was clean, easy to access, quiet and had a great view! Great dining options abound nearby. We'll be coming back again soon to revisit some special places and find some new ones. Also a great value!

  My boyfriend and I go to Carmel 2-3 times a year and always stay in one of the local hotels. We stayed here on a sunny weekend in January and loved it! The studio feels new and fresh - they thought of everything -from high quality sheets to a "locals" restaurant listing that the owners put together. The bottle of wine was a nice touch. We went to the Cypress Inn for a casual Sunday night dinner at their suggestion and found the food excellent and the dog-friendly atmosphere just what we were looking for. I look forward to staying here again.
