I stayed in the fully furnished in-law suite of this beautiful vacation home. It was very comfortable, pretty much a home away from home environment. It literally takes two minute to walk to the Whitby beach. A nice spot to take an early morning or afternoon dip in the ocean. The in-law suite is also perfect for a couple's getaway. If you are into sightseeing, there are many places of interest on the island and Middle Caicos is just a car ride away. You can visit the caves and more beautiful beaches. Be sure to pack Off because mosquitos sometimes bite in the nights.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

I stayed in this home for a few nights with friends and it was lovely! Very clean and recently updated, it made for a wonderful escape in the tropics. We enjoyed mornings reading in the shade of the patio, afternoons in the white sand and ocean waves of the beach just a steps from the door, delicious dinners at the Silver Palm Restaurant and evening drinks on the beach just a short walk away. As if the lovely home and incredible beach weren't enough, it came with a comprehensive guide to services on the island and the most helpful manager you could ever dream of. We've talked about returning regularly to this little piece of paradise!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Several friends and myself spend 3 fantastic days on North Caicos here. The ocean and weather were perfect; clear blue skies, clear blue water, and gorgeous white sand. Every beach is virutally a private beach. The manager, Karren, is amazing. The food she prepares makes it feel like a 5 star resort. A car rental is a must once on the island (Remember they drive on the left hand side of the road) as it is sparcly populated. Deffinately head out to middle caicos and explore some remote beaches, We found an entire abandoned dock rusting away complete with a big excavator. This island and this house are a great way to see a part and life style of the Turks and Caicos that you can't get on Provodenciales.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

About the owner: I am a North Caicos girl and a lover of nature this is why Flamingo Nest Vacation Rental is such a choice spot and surrounded by the local flora. I am an educator by profession but am enjoying semi-retirement and find time to do a few of my favourite things - gardening and working with children.
Why the Owner Chose Whitby:
I fell in love with this idyllic location as far back as 1982. It was on this quiet knoll where I dreamed of building my retirement home. This spacious family dwelling was completed as recent as 2005 and quickly became a home for managerial personnel on duty from companies based on the island of Providenciales.
This vacation rental is in close proximity to a convenience store, local restaurants and gift shops. The local ferry docks at Sandy Point Marina which is only a 15 minute drive and the airport is less than10 minutes away.
You are free to roam more than seven miles of whit sandy beach undisturbed; scuba dive, snorkel and fish our friendly waters by pre-arranged trips with Karen and her capable team at Silver Palm Restaurant, Victoria Gift Shop, Silver a la Car Rental and Beach Cruiser Charters..

Flamingo’s Nest is really a home away from home. The environment is clean, fresh, rejuvenating and most of all relaxing. Everything is at your finger tips. The home was furnished just with you in mind. Believe me, it’s the ideal place if you truly want to unwind; you may just want to kick off your shoes and watch the waves lashing the barrier reef from the front porch or maybe, grab your cooler and take the two minute walk to the unspoiled beach and allow the silvery sand to slither through your toes. Of course, the turquoise water is by far irresistible, so, just jump in!
I too enjoy tranquility after a hectic fast-pace period and do believe visitors to our Turks and Caicos are frequently in search of the same. Our people are warm, friendly and very receptive to strangers. Enjoy the sites and scenes of North Caicos. Drive into Bottle Creek and get a view of the spectacular layout of the settlement.
