My husband, son and I stayed at Archie's condo. We had friends who stayed at the Rio Mar beach and hotel resort. We liked the layout of the condo. It was great to be able to cook our meals instead of going out all the time. Archie provided wonderful information about area and restaurants nearby also. He even met us at the car rental place to give us our welcome package! Much appreciated. Our friend knew the local area and showed us a great bakery and grocery store nearby for supplies. We went down to the hotel to enjoy the VIP passes that are included with the rental. This was perfect for us because our friends were there. Great beach, water was beautiful, my son and his friends loved the pool, hot tub and basketball court. The condo had great tv's. Not that you are going to be indoors for long. The only thing that we could see as an improvement was the amount of forks provided and the master bathroom shower was great but the second bathroom shower did not work very well. Since only 3 of us we just used the master bathroom.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This place was amazing. Very spacious, accommodating, perfect for a family, or couple. 2 large bedrooms- 2 bath. Nice deck to eat brunch on, full kitchen, and plenty of toys to use (bikes, boogie boards, beach cooler, etc.) I was on my honey moon and definitely have plans to go back. Archie the property manager is a pleasure to work with, and the location is perfect. Perfect to get to the beach, golf, restaurants, and never leave the resort property. Also very close to the rain forest. I would encourage renting a vehicle like my wife and I did, since we didn't want to stay in the resort property the entire time.Did you find this review helpful? We spent 4 days at this Villa and were not overly impressed but take into consideration that we stayed at the Ocean Villa's prior to this and there is no comparison. Kind of like going from the Ritz to a Holiday Inn. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: Very spacious 2 bathrooms/2 bedrooms was great Bikes provided Good location for seeing the Northeast coast of PR Price Cons: No view or use of balcony because there is a hot air return on the balcony that blows out hot air and is loud Tiny ants all over kitchen and in main bathroom - we kept most of our food in the refrigerator to avoid ants in our food. I did contact the owner because I couldn't find the hairdryer and got a quick response but when I contacted him about the ants I didn't get a response. Way too far from pool to get to without car(we had a rental), shuttle(free) or golf cart($50/day) Since we had planned a busy 4 days of site-seeing (rainforest, sailing, old San Juan) we were too unhappy since we were not there most days. It was just a place to sleep, shower and eat. Depends on the kind of vacation you are planning - probably would be great for a guys golf outing.Owner response: Hi Diane, Thanks for the Pros. About the Cons., the same way you can't compare apples to oranges, comparing my property to the condo-hotel "Ocean Villa" is not fair for both them and me. My property is a lot less expensive mainly beacause is not beachfront, but it is part of the resort and have a home feeling because I want my guests to feel at home not in a condo-hotel. That is why my wife and I putted our touch to the decor, to the quality of the mattresses (I bet it was more comfortable), to the quality of the bed lining and the kitchen equipments and utenciles, and like our guests friends, we offer the complimentary guest passes for the use of the hotel facilities (without them you only have the option to go to the owners' pool, in your car and bring your own towels, no shuttle) to let you experience the complete resort feeling. Then you have the nice 3 bikes and the brand new Morey-bogeys to surf the waves. Can you soften the Cons.? It sounds like a complaint, it is like my advertisement in HomeAway is not accurate. You know that everything is carefully described in there, also the distance to the beach is accurate in my ad, and, I provided you with pertinent information before your arrival, and, you were staying at the resort and knew that any of the villa style apartments are not beachfront. Usually when I use the balcony (photos of it are on the ad), I have all the doors and windows open and the air conditioner units off to feel the sea breeze. About the tiny ants, I didn't answer because I was surprise and I didn’t know what to tell you. But understand that we are in the tropics and the villa is at ground level. I asked them (the ants) to behave but apparently they were tempted over their limit. I'm really sorry about their behavior, that really was the first complaint I have ever received about them and I took disciplinary actions already. :) You know that my place is not any place just for sleep, shower and eat. After the end of a busy schedule during a great vacation day, it is a cozy place to come and enjoy the rest of the evening, like at home. True? Can you fix it, may be a 4 of 5 because the ants? Regards, Archie

This apartment worked out perfectly for us. It is lovely, airy, well-decorated, and the master bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The real reason to stay here is access to the resort. The pools and beach are all great. My kids were happy spending the whole day in the pool. If you read the reviews on travel advisor of the resort, you'll see everyone complains about the high cost of food and the dingy rooms. But the grounds themselves earn raves. Well, rent this place and you can go home and make food for yourself. And the accommodations are truly lovely. So it's like going to a resort without having to pay the huge markup prices. Archie was great and very responsive. You'll have a great vacation if you stay here.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Myself, my husband and two sons(ages 18 and 20) had a great family vacation at Villa Millagros. The villa was just as described - bright, airy and clean. There was plenty of space and the beds were comfortable. It was great having our own space but still having the ameneties of the resort. The kitchen was well equiped and there was a supermarket near by as well as plenty of great restaurants. We rented a golf cart from the on-site rental company which was perfect for getting around the resort and was free to park as opposed to paying the high rate at the parking garage. My husband also enjoyed the world-class golf courses within the resort. The resort location was great - the entrance to El Yunque (the rainforest) was just across the highway and Fajardo was just 20 minutes away. You could take a ferry from Fajardo to either Culebra or Viesques - two islands off of Puerto Rico with beautiful beaches and great snorkeling. The ferry fare was only $2.50! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - our only regret was not staying longer! Archie was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. We would definitely return to Villa Millagros and would recommend it to anyone! Kathy QDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Villa Milagrosa was just as described. The house was clean, cozy, and all you can ask for when away from your own home - comfy beds (especially the king size in the master bedroom), marble bathrooms, flat screen TVs, wifi, wonderfully cool air conditioners, bikes, board games, and so much more. The location was very convenient - close to the grocery store, outlet malls, Walmart, Marshalls, and several restaurants. Villa Miligrosa was a walk away from the Laguna club house, and a Wyndham shuttle bus (which comes to the pick you up at the club house every 10 minutes) away from the Wyndham Resort. Passes were provided for resort use (pool, resort activities, beach chairs & umbrellas, etc). Archie was a pleasure to deal with. He was in constant contact from booking until the end of our stay. We had a late flight, and he was kind enough to meet and wait for us at the car rental pick-up. Upon greeting us, we were handed the keys, and given a few hot spots around the area. He was also available via text for any questions or concerns we had throughout our stay. I would highly recommend Villa Miligrosa for your stay and would definitely use it for our future PR trips.Owner response: Wao Angela!!! You really make my day. Thank you for choosing my property over other great ones. It was my pleasure. You are very welcome any time. Until then, Archie.

We had a wonderful stay at the Villa. Everything was as described, if not more. The space is beautiful, very comfortable and clean, and the tropical sounds lulled us to sleep every night. The grounds are extremely well kept and the resort gorgeous. My favorite place was the owners beach and pool which provided us with total serenity and paradise-like feeling. If you rent a car you can go so many places easily, the national rainforest is minutes away, and so is the gorgeous Luquilllo beach that we fell in love with. The Old San Juan ( only 45 min away) was breathtaking. Definitely a future destination for us! Highly recommended!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

The villa was very spacious and clean. Two nice size bedrooms with very comfortable beds and plenty of furniture to place your clothes. Two bathrooms perfect for a large family. Nice kitchen equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, stove, pots and pans, dishes, glasses ...in case somebody wants to cook while on vacation ! Villa was a short walk from the club house where you can pick up the shuttle to the Hotel. You can head out to the beautiful beach or lay by the pool. Enjoy aqua zumba or a game of pool volleyball. The kids pool also offer a slide and the adults can relax at the "for adult only pool" . The villa is a short distance from El Yunque rainforest where you can hike, zipline or simply admire the beauty of it. It is also close to the town of Fajardo where every night there are tours to the Bioluminescence bay. The later tour you go the better. It is a must to go and see. Very unique experience. At Fajardo, you can also take the ferry to Vieques or Culebra. Plenty of restaurants close by to choose from. Don Pepe is one I recommend. Friendly service, good food. Overall it was a great place to stay. I will definitively rent it again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My kids, husband and I had a wonderful time in PR thanks to the convenient location of your beautiful villa. Everything was nearby, grocery stores, local food restaurants (Antojitos, los quiosquitos de Luquillo), Walmart, Walgreens, Beltz Outlets, movie theaters … Great attractions were also not far away! We visited El Yunque Rainforest (~ 5 min. drive) and went hiking to several of its mountain pools and waterfalls. For the more adventurists, you can also go ziplining above El Yunque trees. Hacienda Carabali is a 600 acre ranch located less than 5 min drive from the villa. Here you can ride a horse, an ATV or a mountain bike through the foothills of the rainforest. My 4y old had a blast riding her horse for one whole hour! We also enjoyed kayaking across the bioluminescent bay in Fajardo ( ~ 20 min drive). Everybody should make sure to grab one of the “Puerto Rico Places” book at the hotel front desk to learn about the many tours and things you can do in PR. Back at the villa, we had a great time at the resort pools, beach and riding your bikes around. My husband enjoyed the magnificent hotel golf course (he is a golf freak!) The rooms were very comfy and the WiFi and TVs were a plus. We will definitively rent this villa again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

It was very clean, it has very big rooms and comfortable beds, very close to El Yunque and also close to Fajardo so we had the chance to take the ferry to the beatiful island of Culebra. We hade everything we needed there. Actually the best was that we had the opportunity to use the hotel facilitys such as te pool, the gym and so many other things. We definitly will come back!! The Villa is simply put a little paradise. We had out of many vacations we have had as a family the best vacation so far. Located inside the beatiful Rio Mar Resort and a 5 minute drive from one of the greatest wonders of this planet "El Yunque". You are a few minutes away from other beatifull beaches like "Balneario de Luqillo' , and additionaly the owner was kind enough to give us all VIP Passes to use the resort facilities like the pool. A lot of great dining around also. In summary I wish we would have stayed longer and I have absolutely no complains.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a group of 4 adults and 2 children and spent a wonderful 10 day stay at this Rio Mar Villa. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay, the property was clean and well maintained, beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and everything in general was great. I would definitely recommend this villa to any one of my friends and relatives. The owner was great, he contacted us several times to make sure everything was good. We will rent this property again next time we visit Puerto Rico, for sure. The location is outside the San Juan metropolitan area but the highway is good and an easy access to San Juan in 30 minutes. In fact, it was good to be away from the big city and just drive into it whenever we wanted to. The beach was excellent!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We just spent the week there , and it was a really good time. The villa is nice, nicely decorated. It was big for our family of 5 . The master bedroom is the best room with the balcony ! The resort area , pools and beach are great. Restaurant are good but expensive. We rent a car for the whole week and we park on the villa spot , so we were able to do daily trip to old San juan , El Yunque and to the ferry for Vieques for the day. The owner/manger met us at the rental car company and was very helpful with directions, instructions and keys! We spent four nights in the Villa which accommodated 2 adults (in the master bedroom) and four teenagers (in the second bedroom). The only problem we had was hot water due to popping the circuit breaker. The owner was very responsive and guided us through problem solving immediately. The beach and resort were a short trip via bus, which was conveniently located at the golf course country club next door. The beds were very comfortable and clean. Nice TV, but we never turned it on. Internet was high speed WiFi. A great place to stay for families with multiple kids/teens. Especially enjoyed coffee on the balcony in the morning. Convenient location to the rain forest, bioiluminescent bay, and diving on the east side of the island. We'd make this a five-star if it was beach side.Did you find this review helpful? We had a really great stay at this Villa and the Rio Mar Resort. The Villa is beautifully decorated! The King bed in the Master Bedroom was very comfortable and the shades were so good that I slept 10 hours every night. The bathrooms are nicely remodeled and included soaps, shampoo & conditioner dispensers in the shower. We had everything we needed. The Villa was very clean and tidy. The owners were very pleasant and helpful & checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. There was a bit of a musty smell when we first entered the villa (I am sensitive), but it was not a problem once the air conditioning was on. A few tips for vacationers: We were glad we rented a car, as we could plan day trips and easily get around & it was much cheaper than the hotel's trips. We used the parking garage at the hotel and it was reasonable. We loved the bioluminescent bay kayaking tour in Fajardo. We enjoyed Old San Juan & had our best dinner there at Raices Restaurant, with local food. We enjoyed the Flaminco show at the hotel with a buffet (the food was very good). Amigos grocery store is nearby on Rte. 3, there is a larger, new grocery further down Rte. 3 (Ralph's). We rented videos at Redbox at the Amigos. The resort beach is gorgeous & you can walk forever. The hotel provides really nice lounge chairs on the beach & there are always enough. There is an adult pool with cushioned lounge chairs, but they are filled up quickly. You will want to book your day trips (snorkeling, biolumenescent bay) as soon as you arrive. See the concierge at the hotel & they will give you recommendations. Our vacation at this Villa & Resort was perfect!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

This is the perfect place to let go, relax and just breath. I found that after working hard for months on end, this villa was a long awaited escape. You can get lost in the serene ambiance and leave your worries behind. The master bedroom is an oasis and as you sink into it's extremely comfortable bed you can almost feel all your stress float away. Returning to this villa has been added to my list of "Things-to do" and so is searching out that awsome mattress.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

My family and I had a most enjoyable time in this dreamy villa. The breezy tropical yet trendy decor makes you feel like you are walking into the pages of a magazine. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything one may need to prepare even a gourmet meal. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable and the villa itself is very cozy and conducive to lounging. The golf course and beautifully manicured landscape are breath taking. Being able to enjoy the hotel's ammenities is an added benefit. We definitely recommed staying here and plan on making arrangements for our return.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Being able to enjoy Puerto Rico's mix of beach, tropical rainforest ,city life and country all while staying in such a lovely place was a thrill. Besides the great location this villa is located at ,it is beautifully decorated . You can say an interior decorator had a great inspiration. I especially loved the master suite with its crisp white walls and linnens and its wooden doors that let the ocean breeze come in, The art, the furniture, the rustic tile floor, all make this place a great place to stay. We also enjoyed being able to use the hotel faclities and the beautiful golf range. Hope to go again soon.!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
