We have a large family group of 16 and this lovely cottage with knotty pine was huge, nobody felt trapped in and we all had space. The outside has a nice sandy beach, a swim area, two docks which our children used for fun and fishing. They caught Bass and had all sorts of fun with the kayak, rowboat and pontoon boat. Ray is very responsive and was always there to help out and make suggestions, listen to his suggestions for places to eat like the Blue Tractor, very yummy. It was a great time that we all will remember fondly for many years. We strongly recommend this cottage!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our group of 4 families enjoyed our stay on Spider Lake. There was enough room inside and out for us to spread out. We enjoyed the swim platform, fishing off the dock, kayaking and sitting in the lake on hot days! The cottage was clean and the owner was helpful in answering our questions.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This house works nicely for large groups. Located on Spider Lake the area is beautiful and quiet. The upper and lower decks provide lots of space to spread out, plus there is easy access to the lake. The rooms are all roomy and the large dining area and large table were terrific. Being so close to Traverse City and lots of other tourist areas is a real plus. The pontoon boat and Kayak really enhanced our experience. Ray was very responsive and answered all our questions.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, pet owners, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We installed cable and WIFI to this property for our guests that need to be working while on vacation. We also installed a second dock and swim raft. With the hot summer so far, our central air really helps cool things down. Last, while not advertised or charged extra this year, we installed a hot tub for those lucky guests in the summer of 2011. This place is perfect for large or small groups, the beds are all new, King Koil queens or kings in four of the five bedrooms, and it has a sixth sleeping area. We think you will love this property.
