We had an amazing time at this condo in January of 2012. Our focus was skiing, so the ski-in/ski-out access was fantastic. The slope that the condo is overlooking is not a "high traffic" area, so you certainly felt like you had some privacy...even with being situated right on the slopes. The condo is spacious, and tastefully decorated. Upon walking in, you have benches and hooks to hang all of your coats and ski gear...very nice to keep that stuff out of the way. Walking up a level, you find the main floor with the kitchen, balcony and two bedrooms – each bedroom with its own adjoining bathroom - which was nice. The upstairs (with two more bedrooms) was nice as well, including a "reading nook." The kitchen was very well stocked – included all pots and pans that we needed to cook meals, also had two crockpots and even some cute serving dishes. The resort restaurants and bars are absolutely easy to “ski” to…but we didn’t attempt walking to them in the winter. Probably about a 2 minute drive however, and probably walking distance in the summer. The owners are fantastic to work with, Jean gave me fantastic information to help me plan the trip...including recipes for easy crock pot meals while we were out on the slopes! Overall – we had a fantastic weekend, loved the location and definitely would rent this condo again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thanks so much!!

Our group of 10 family and friends felt right at home in this spacious condo. Great kitchen with a large table that seats 8 plus 4 more at the bar stools. We had every meal at the condo and it is equipped with everything we needed. We had fun game time at the big table every evening. Bedrooms and bathrooms are equally spacious with comfortable beds. This is clean and comfortable slopeside accomodations that is perfect for the larger group. We parked our car on arrival and didnt get in again until it was time to go home.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thanks so much!! One of my favorite things about the condo is the big table too.

We have stayed at this slope-side condo during the Hlolidays for two years and have been really pleased with the size, facilities, location and customer service from the owners. Even with up to ten adults, it never really felt crowded. There was space enough to sleep all comfortably and plenty of kitchen and dinning space for everyone to eat together. The views all face the slopes, near hills, and the Village and the near slopes are not lit so you don't have the bright lights shining in your windows at night. The location is convenient for skiing even when not all the slopes are open. The prices are competitive with other condos in the area and the terms are flexible. We recommend this place to those looking for good Midwest skiing accommodations.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.
Owner response: We have been blessed to have great renters!

About the owner: We thought it would be fun to share a bit about ourselves. Ted grew up in IN on a grain and livestock farm. Jean grew up in NY on a fruit and vegetable farm. We both attended Purdue majoring in Agricultural Economics, meeting our freshman year. We have 4 children. Katie is a 3rd grade teacher and married to Dustin. Blake just graduated from Purdue and has returned to our family business. Brayden is a junior majoring in AgEcon and Karson is a sophomore studying accounting. They too are attending Purdue University. When the children were little we took them to Boyne Highlands to learn to ski. While they were growing up we would ski 1 to 2 weekends a winter with friends.
Why the Owner Chose Boyne Highlands:
We have many fond memories of skiing at Boyne. Also, many memories of carting everything but the kitchen sink into the lodge so that we had food and every necessity. :-). We were looking for a condo to rent for a skiing weekend right before Christmas, with all of us together. This condo was for sale and one thing led to another. We are very excited and look forward to winter AND summertime in MI.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We love the condo because its convenience to the Boyne Highland ski slope. We like to ski in for a lunch that has been cooking in our crock pots and then ski out for more skiing. We love the beauty of the location with the trees, mountains and lake surrounding us. The boys in our family look forward to trying out the many golf courses. Katie and Jean plan to hike on the trails and shop in town. We all plan to visit Mackinac and Beaver Islands later this summer. Please come see why we love Michigan in the winter and look forward to discovering the beauty of the summertime as well. We will do our best to make your vacation experiences as enjoyable as possible. We are always open to suggestions on how we can make your experience even better.
Blessings!
