Other amenities include a great room with 21’ vaulted ceiling, 46-inch flat screen television, handsome stacked stone fireplace, a window wall, and an Amish dining table and 10 chairs.
One bedroom, on the main floor, has a king bed, a door that opens to the side deck, and a full bath. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, a full bath, and a loft area with seating and a TV. One upstairs bedroom has a queen bed while the other has a full bed. Downstairs is a recreation room with pool table, TV and sitting area, full-size refrigerator, microwave, wet bar, a bedroom with a queen bed, and a full bath. A ping pong table top rests against the wall and can be (carefully, please) placed onto the pool table. The sitting area has two sofas, one of which opens as a queen sleeper.
The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, large microwave, Jenn-Aire gas range, garbage disposal, trash compactor, dishwasher, and refrigerator with ice-maker. The house is fully equipped with dinnerware, pots, pans, utensils, linens, towels, and has a washer/dryer.

No smoking is allowed in the cabin and, sorry, no pets are allowed either.
Our house is 1 mile down a state-maintained gravel road. Four-wheel drive is seldom needed. The two decks offer many opportunities to enjoy the view. The stone fireplace has a gas starter and firewood is provided. The great room has four levels of windows and opens onto the upper deck. A gas grill is available for your use. The recreation room opens to the lower deck.
Downtown Blowing Rock is about four miles away with an abundance of excellent restaurants, shops, tennis courts, swimming pool, and festivals in the park. The Tanger Outlet Shoppes on the Parkway are nearby. The Blue Ridge Parkway is about 5 miles away and offers scenic drives, great hikes, mountain biking, canoeing, picnicking, and horseback riding opportunities. Tweetsie Railroad is nearby, located between Blowing Rock and Boone, as is Appalachian Ski Resort.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house. It was spacious, well equipped, very comfortable and the view was beautiful from the deck. It is in an excellent location, very close to town yet in a private, quiet and forested area. The owners were very helpful and communications were excellent, all my questions were answered in a very timely way and I appreciate this. The description of the property was accurate. The house was well maintained and extremely clean. I would recommend this property to any friend or relative.

This is a beautiful home. Furnishings are top quality. Every detail has been addressed. The home is exactly as pictured on the website. The owner and I maintained contact by phone and email. He was most helpful in answering my questions. We enjoyed a cozy fire in the massive fireplace each day. Our stay was fantastic and we hope to return next year. My family, especially my grandsons, enjoyed the game room on the lower lever. They called it their "man-cave". They enjoyed challenge games of ping pong and playing their video games. I will highly recommend this property to my friends.

The Place to gather
The Place to gather
We LOVED our stay at Rocky Knob! Beautiful view of the mountains with spectacular sunset views. Ours was a reunion of 4 siblings and spouses and we had a GRAND time - sitting on the deck enjoying the view - whether having coffee, cocktails, or grilling steaks - as we watched the movement of the clouds across the mountains in the mornings and the evening sunsets. This house is beautifully furnished - very comfortable with lovely designer furniture and fine linens in all bedrooms and bathrooms. Absolutely everything was provided for us. The fellows enjoyed playing pool and the girls got in some ping pong. A great place for a family to gather for having fun and making memories.

This property is a really nice place! Very clean--immaculate on the inside! The furniture is really nice and comfortable. The bed and bath linens are first class. There is a large wrap around porch (well kept) with a spectacular view of Grandfather Mountain! Also, I like the privacy----with no other houses nearby. The town of Blowing Rock is just down the road! There are lots of hiking trails nearby for the exercise enthusiast! I would highly recommend this place for a vacation stay!
