  I absolutely loved my time here. I have never felt so comfortable. The house had everything one could ask for. The screened in porch was my favorite place, both early morning and after dinner. I would recommend (and have) to anyone who appreciates serenity plus proximity to minnewaska state park and the farmers market.

  We booked this trip from our current home in San Francisco to have a few friends from NY spend a long weekend celebrating my wife's 30th birthday. We have booked through VRBO numerous times and have been generally happy, but always surprised...usually with smaller rooms, outdated furniture, over promised amenities and under delivered experiences. This time our expectations were not just met, but BLOWN AWAY!!! The owners are a pleasure to work with, the house is immaculate and very tastefully appointed. Even the pool overwhelmed...it is HUGE! We honestly expected to get there and go "well, this will do". Our friends are foodies and frequent travelers who have been fortunate enough to enjoy some incredible experiences. The kitchen is stocked, the gas range professional and the layout perfect for friends who like to cook and entertain together. The back yard and pool area are huge and well kept. The property is tucked away in a super quiet little neighborhood and still convenient to downtown New Paltz. The surrounding area is incredible for hiking, biking, climbing, sightseeing and adventure. Simply put, we all had the time of our lives!!! Within the first 24 hours of our arrival we couldn't stop talking about how we would all buy a place like this so that we could have these experiences over and over again for years to come. If you are looking for a perfect getaway with family and/or friends in NY, do yourself a favor and RENT HERE!

  We stayed at this house and everything was perfect, and just as listed. It's in a great location for some quiet relaxation, but not too far if you need a grocery store. It's also a great base from which to explore the area - Mohonk Mountain House, Stormking, the FDR Library and Museum, or any of the trails in the area. We went with some friends and everyone felt they had some privacy. There is also a great 3 season porch, where we would relax in the mornings and evenings. This house is very well-kept. There are comfortable beds and furniture, and little extras like large fluffy towels and a six burner range. This house is on a very large lot, with plenty of room for kids to run around. As mentioned by a few others, this house is conveniently located about an hour and a half from NYC. Some of our group drove up and a few took the train into Poughkeepsie (there are cabs to take you to the house, if needed). Either way was very easy and quick. If you are looking for a getaway, but don't want to waste time getting there, then this is it!

  My family and I rented this house over the winter and could not have had a better time. The house is incredibly well appointed and clean. The owners are so helpful - with little instructions everywhere - to make enjoying the house so easy. It's definitely a country house with all the modern amenities. Can't wait to go back for swimming season! It only took us 90 minutes to get there and to leave all of our city troubles behind. Dave Peterson and family

  We have enjoyed Church Hill Road on several occasions and have loved all that the house has to offer. The large beds are perfect for a great night's sleep. The large living room, kitchen and dining room are the perfect setting for entertaining or relaxing. And the pool - fantastic in the summer! The location is ideal - close enough to the city - but a true getaway for the weekend... close to hiking, skiing, and great farm-to-table restaurants... close enough to enjoy frequently. Thank you for a great getaway in the Hudson Valley!

  As a busy city dweller, my friends and I are always looking to get out of the city without traveling too far. I've rented this house and absolutely loved it! Every bed is so comfortable I had the most peaceful night of sleep and the should of silence was something I needed from my hectic life in the city. The local italian restaurant rivals that of those I go to in NYC (and I can't wait to go back!) and the area is so beautiful for just a drive or a walk around the surrounding area. The kitchen has everything you need to make those group dinners and it is tempting to just snuggle in a enjoy the relaxing time there and just enjoy the downtime. I've already booked another week this winter, and hopefully will be back in the summer to enjoy that pool!

  We have been to this house several times and plan to return again and again! When so many homes in the area are a bit too, ahem, 'rustic' for my tastes, this house is the perfect blend of country getaway with all the modern conveniences. All the rooms are very tastefully furnished and clean. While the title says it's a cottage, it's actually a very spacious home perfectly suited for a group of friends or family and offers plenty of privacy. The location is also perfect with Woodstock, High Falls, Stone Ridge, New Paltz and Mohonk all just a short drive away. Summer is especially fun at this home with the screened in porch and pool - not to mention all the fun outdoor activities available in the area with biking/hiking paths, etc. I'm trying to find one negative thing to say but can't! Oh but if you're there in the winter, the fireplace in the living room can be tricky to turn on and off so be sure to ask them for a tutorial. We did, and it worked fine from then onward. I'm sure you'll enjoy this house as much as we did!

  We had a wonderful time at Church Hill Road. The location was perfect and the house was clean and comfortable. The house and the bedrooms are much bigger in person and the pool is incredible. We prepared many large group dinners in the kitchen and it was so nice to have all the room. We look forward to returning as soon as we can. Thank you!
