Our one-of-a-kind custom built Floating Home is 2300 square feet on 3 levels. You will enjoy the best view in our marina from our location at the end of the dock facing downtown Victoria. Westbay Marine Village is a new marina with the highest standards offering 8 foot wide concrete docks and gated access. Our home includes all the amenities you would expect in a quality home built on land.
SLEEPING:
The Master Bedroom with a queen bed, fireplace and the city view is located on the third level. Access through french doors puts you on the wraparound deck. There is an ensuite bathroom with a soaker tub.
The second bedroom which includes a queen bed is on the float level with water level view of seabirds and passing boats. There is also a queen pullout sofa in the den on this level. A full bathroom and laundry are located on this floor as well.
COOKING AND LIVING:
The centre level Great Room includes a beautiful gourmet kitchen, a round dining table which sits 8 -10 overlooking the water view and a large comfortable living room with a 47 inch TV adn gas fireplace.
EXCERCIZING:
2 kayaks are available as well as a slideseat rowboat. A treadmill will help keep you in shape on your vacation and there are wonderful walking trails and parks in the area.
RELAXING:
Outdoors the decks have comfortable chairs and lounges. You'll want to have the binoculars handy to watch the activities Victoria's Inner Harbour. Indoors there are plenty of places to relax with a book, a computer or TV.

My husband I and stayed here for a month in August. It was the perfect way to relax and see Victoria. We used the kayaks frequently to paddle to the cruise ships and yachts in the inner harbour, and it was always a treat to return back to this luxurious home. Karen and Doug are VERY nice, and they made sure that we had everything we needed for a perfect holiday. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to relax, or have a little adventure, or both! P.S.: Despite floating on water, the house doesn't really move at all!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This is the only way to stay on the water in Victoria? Incredible comfort matched by spectacular views of the harbor and city. Everything about this place is luxurious. A great kitchen alongside a great dining room view. Easy access to downtown and all the amenities of this city. But who would want to leave this little piece of paradise? No matter what the weather, this home offers year-round pleasures. Would expect to pay twice as much......Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

An incredible home in a unique and beautiful location. This is the way to experience Victoria—right on the water! One can tell that the owners custom built this home and took every care to make it perfect. There is incredible attention to detail here—all of the furniture, fixtures, and finishings are exquisite. We absolutely loved sitting in the sun on the rooftop patio taking in the view while enjoying home cooked meals of fresh, local seafood. The outdoor speakers were great to add a little ambiance and the patio heaters were a nice touch when the sun went down. I can only assume that the man of the house is a bit of a sports nut, as the entertainment system is first class. We absolutely loved our stay here and can’t way to be back. Thank you!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: We are an active couple who love to travel. We owned a furniture and design retail store in Victoria for 16 years which we sold a year ago. I am an artist and interior designer. My husband is a photographer and recreational fisherman. We both enjoy cooking and entertaining. Living on the water allows us quick access to our favourite water activities which include fishing, rowing and kayaking.
Why the Owner Chose Victoria:
This is our primary residence but we enjoy travelling for extended periods of time.
Our home is a floating home located in Westbay Marina, just minutes from downtown Victoria. The views are spectacular and the lifestyle unbeatable. The docks are secure and private.
Victoria has wonderful amenities for locals and tourists alike with fantastic restaurants, museums and parks.
The Unique Benefits at this House Boat:
A float home offers all of the comforts of a land home with the added benefit of being right on the water with waterbirds and seals sharing our 'yard'. We can be on the water in our kayaks or rowboat in just 5 minutes. Sailboats, yachts and harbour ferries pass right in front of our windows throughout the day.
Downtown Victoria is an easy beautiful thirty minute walk along the waterfront.
The 700 square foot deck on our upper level offers a variety of places to sit in sun or shade and enjoy the view.
