Location: Evian, Shipyard, Island Areas, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, USA View Map
Accommodations: Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6)
Twenty Five years ago my family and I visited Hilton Head for the first time. To this day it remains our favorite vacation spot. Once you visit Evian you will know why. Whether it is golf, the beach, the pool or outlet shopping, Hilton Head has it all and Evian is the premier place to stay.
Not far from the main road, but surrounded by privacy (the fewest units per acre on the entire island) and a beautifully manicured landscape a stay here wont leave you disappointed. The beach is but a short walk and an even quicker bike ride away. Or, if you would rather you can lounge by the pool or use it to cool off after a set of tennis in one of the on site tennis courts available for free. If you are too busy during the day, the lighted courts allow for tennis late in to the night.
Hilton Head Island has something to appeal to all ages. Whether it is playing Mini golf or enjoying one of the several children friendly entertainers, or for adults fine dinning and after dinner entertainment, you will find it close to Evian.
Your vacation condo is equipped with a full kitchen featuring a brand new stove and dishwasher. If eating out is more your pleasure there is a number of restaurants within a 10 minute drive. Whether you are looking for upscale dining or one that caters to families, you can find it easily right outside of the entrance to the resort (called plantations here in Hilton Head).
Your two bedroom, two bath, condo sleeps six with a king size bed in the master bedroom, a queen and twin bed in the second bedroom and a roll away bed. It is furnished with linens, towel, pots, pans, utensils, and anything else you can think of to make your vacation worry free to include a full size washer and dryer. Feel free to utilize the high speed wireless internet access, watch HD cable TV on any one of the three TV’s in the unit (living room and one in each bedroom) or keep in touch with those back home on the free long distance service provided to you.
The shipyard beach, to which you have free access, sports white sand, calm waters and a beach house for your use. There are beach chairs and umbrellas available for a fee, but you are certainly close enough to your condo to bring your own.
If golf is your game, you are within walking distance of the clubhouse for the 27 hole course that you overlook. You usually need no more then 24 hours notice to schedule a tee time.
It is all there at your door step.
One visit to Evian and you will come back time and time again

Map & Owner's Profile

Why the Owner Chose EvianHilton Head is my families idea of paradise. It has everything we look for in activities (beach, golf, entertainment), life style (easy going laid back) and decor (beautifully landscapped plantations and tastefully designed shopping areas). We have been coming here since 1985 and find it our favorite place on earth. For those families visiting in the summer, I highly recommend a trip to Harbor Towne to see Greg Rusell perform. His show is child oriented but I am here to say it is as entertaining for the adults as it is for the children.
The Unique Benefits at this CondoEnjoy the short walk to the beach or a short drive to shopping and restaurants. Great area for those casual joggers or speed walkers. No better way to start then day then a walk around the plantation. Try it once and you will be hooked.
Owner's Map of Evian
In Dec of 2011 we realized our dream when we purchased this unit. We continue to upgrade the unit and by the summer time look for some signifcant upgrades to include a larger and wall mounted HD TV in the living room, a flat screen HD TV to be added in the master bedroom as well as new dinning room furniture, new bedding, blinds and several other upgrades.

My husband and I have been vacationing in HH for almost 30 years now and have stayed at many locations. Evian 228 was one of the best we've stayed at. Although Evian is an older property, this condo has many updates and was very comfortable and extremely clean. The grounds at Evian are so peaceful and beautiful. Gregg was very cooperative and eager to please which was very appreciated. I even left a bag at the condo when we left and he is going to send it to me. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends! We even found a new restaurant this time....Roast Fish and Cornbread....highly recommend it!!!

From my first e-mail with the owner, I felt as if he was a man of his word. Evian 228 was everything he said it was and more. It is obvious that he has been making upgrades to the unit. (new appliances, a what looks like new bamboo flooring) If you are familiar with HHI and have been coming here for any length of time (15 years) you know that most of these units are 20-30 years old. (maybe older) This is the second time I have stayed in Evian and by far the best. The unit is in a prime location to the beach end entrance, short walk or even quicker bike ride to the very nice pool or tennis courts. A great floor plan with plenty of elbow room. The unit was spotless when we arrived. Being a ground floor unit was also a plus. I would highly recommend renting.

WE HAD A GREAT TIME WITH GRANDSONS AT EVIAN

Every year we take our Grandson's to Hilton Head for Spring Break. We have stayed at many condo's within the Shipyard Plantation, but our favorite is the Evian property. This year we stayed in the condo owned by the Russo Family. From the moment we contacted Gregg, we felt like we had known him forever! He was so genuine and seemed so eager to help make our trip enjoyable. We especially enjoyed the accessibility of the unit being on the first floor. I would absolutely recommend this unit to families with children, older individuals, and handicapped individuals who are unable to climb stairs. The family room was very spacious and we very much enjoyed the comfortable leather furniture. The kitchen was very well layed out and easy to move around with plenty of storage and a very nice LARGE refrigerator. The kitchen was also very well equipped with dishes, utensils, etc. The master bedroom had plenty of room as well as the 2nd bedroom. The bedrooms were also well stocked with blankets and pillows. The kids especially loved having their own TV and enough room to relax, lay around, and play on their Ipod's. The closets throughout the unit were large enough to store our luggage, tennis equipment and beach gear. Also, the foyer is tiled and large enough to accommodate flip flop's and tennis shoes. We really enjoyed the location of the condo. Although situated in a quiet area at the back of the property, it is still very close to the pool and tennis courts. We enjoyed the oudoor space of the unit as well. The boys played soccer in the back where there was plenty of grass, and we also watched the golfer's from the patio. Our grandsons like to say that it's a "tradition" to go to Hilton Head every year, so keeping in those lines, we traditionally eat at our favorite Pizza Restaurant called "Giuseppi's". Also, we usually take a day trip to over to Savannah, visit Fort Pulaski and have a wonderful buffet at the Pirate House Restaurant. Before heading back to the Island, we stop at River Street Sweets for candies and pralines. As a last note, let me mention that the property was well maintained and accurately reflected in the photo's provided on the internet. Again, the owner was a pleasure to work with and we would definately come back again next year during Spring Break if the dates work out!

Once again, my family and I had a great time in Hilton Head and had great accommodations. The condo was everything it was represented to be on VRBO and the one or two minor things (light bulbs out...cable TV problem) was fixed immediately when we let the owner know. The location is fantastic over looking the golf course and a short distance to the beach (walk or bike). The grounds at Evian are immaculate and the condo was just as clean. A brand new gas grill was supplied buy the owner. The layout of the unit was great and the bedrooms were big enough so that we were not on top of each other. There was a roll away bed supplied for our use. Everything worked in the unit which you may take for granted until you have rented before and find this to not always be the case. The unit was fully equipped with everything we needed. The first floor unit was nice as there are no stairs to climb which is a huge advantage when it comes to packing and unpacking the car or bringing groceries in to the unit. Also, you could park your car close to the unit which again, is not always the case in some of these other complexes. It was close to the pool and yet not stuck in a cluster of units so there was some level or privacy. Sitting out in the backyard at night watching the golfers was a nice way to end the day. HD TV and wireless internet provided entertainment on the one day that we got rain and had to stay indoors. The tennis courts were nice and very seldom used. The owners were fantastic. They sent out a great and informative welcome letter, restaurant recommendations, things to do and see with the kids as well as for the adults in our group. Really friendly people who you can tell are proud of HH and want their guests to get the most out of their vacation. They did everything they could to make out vacation fantastic. They have promised some upgrades for next year (we have already booked our 2013 week) as they just bought the unit and I fully believe they will make those upgrades. Highly recommend this unit to anyone visiting HH. It is especially nice to know that you will have great unit waiting for you and a great owner to back you up. We do wish that bikes came with the unit, but they are cheap enough to rent so not a big deal.
