  Our stay was one I will not forget. Falling asleep and waking up by the sounds of the ocean is something you just can't fully describe unless you visit the house that we felt was like a bit of heaven. We definately were not in Kansas anymore. The house is perfect, clean and comfortable. We watched dolphins play right from the deck and gathered too many shells to fly home and had to leave several behind. I got up at 6am and got some awesome pictures of the sunrise just a few steps from the house on the beach. The house is so convienently located we went as far north as Corolla NC where the wild horse run free by the sea... Then we went south on the ferry with our car to Pea Island and Ocarcoke lighthouse. You just drive south with the ocean on one side and the sound on the other. We visited four lighthouses all together and they are amazing. We felt like it was the perfect time of year right before the busy season and the weather was cool but I was able to sit at the beach and get some sun. Blue Moon Cafe was one of our favorites for meals and we also got fresh shrimp and did a wonderful stir fry at the house. We were able to contact the owner by email and got immediate response. We hope to return next year the same week and will be bringing family and friends so they can experience this wonderful vacation home.

  We were surprised at how accommodating and accurate the description of the VRBO property truly was. It was beautifully decorated, very clean, surprisingly well equipped, much closer to the beach than we had anticipated, and very comfortable. It was also out of the mainstream crowd, with a wonderful sense of privacy. We felt fortunate to have spent our vacation with our son and his family at such a spot, and if we were to go again to the Nag's Head, we would have no hesitancy in renting this place again.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

  We had a great experience at the vacation home. It was well maintained. The beds were so comfortable. The rooms were decorated very nicely. The kitchen was well stocked with many things I didn't expect. We brought a lot of kitchen staples because we didn't expect it to be there but it was. The home was close to shopping and many things to do. We are into lighthouses and it is close to Bodie Island. We found great shells on the beach and saw dolphins on Christmas Eve. We are trying to decide when to go back and we hope to stay here again. That is the best recommendation I can give because there are many choices of homes to rent on the Outer Banks and choosing to go back to the same one means this one is really great. The internet works great and the television/stereo system was great. We had a little trouble with restaurants as it was Christmas week however, we found some nice ones. We liked TL's in Manteo (get the corn nuggets side dish). We wanted to go to The Dunes but they were closed most of our trip. Next time we will get there.

  WE JUST GOT BACK FROM A WONDERFUL WEEK AT THE BEACH. THE HOME IS BEAUTIFUL. OUR FAMILY OF 7 WERE VERY COMFORTABLE. THE LOCATION IS THE VERY BEST. WE ALL RELAX AND ENJOYED THE GREAT VIEWS. THE OWNERS ARE VERY HELPFUL WITH ALL REQUESTS AND QUESTIONS. WE CAN'T THANK THEM ENOUGH. WILL BE GOING BACK IN THE EARLY SPRING. THE FACT THAT THERE ARE NO PETS ALLOWED IS GREAT FOR ALL FAMILY MEMEBERS THAT HAVE ALLERGIES.

  A lovely property right across the road from a quiet and well kept beach. The property was very clean and tastefully decorated and contributed to a very relaxing and wonderful vacation. We have stayed in many properties over the years up and down the outer banks but this one we would consider coming back to. Owner was great to deal with, very prompt in getting back to me on questions. Nice central location, great bike and walking trails. I would definitely recommend.

  We could not have had a better vacation! This cottage is a wonderful place to "call home away from home". The decor is top quality, and offers an ambiance of complete relaxation. The cottage is complete with all your needs to function, as well as many thoughtful extras. Beds are comfy, the view is outstanding, and the beach is just steps away. We biked to piers and lighthouses and shops; we made quick drives to restaurants; we had many leisurely beach strolls. The owner could not have been more helpful and attainable. Clean, well maintained, beautiful, top notch, perfect! We highly recommend staying at this cottage, as well as biking to the Bodie Lighthouse and the aquarium at Jeanettes Pier, dining at Brine and Bottle (Manteo Causeway) , and hanging out at Fish Heads (on the Nags Head Pier). Put this on your "bucket list"! We are booking again for next year : )

  Five grandmas who were friends in high school and college thoroughly enjoyed our stay in SandMann! The location was perfect, only steps from the beach, close to restaurants (we especially liked The Dunes), shopping, the Cape Hatteras National Seashore, Roanoke Island with the NC Aquarium and Roanoke Island Festival Park, and all attractions. The house was very clean, beautifully decorated and beds so comfortable. There's nothing like sleeping to the sound of the ocean! Ron was most helpful and answered any questions promptly. I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends and hope to stay there again!

  My family and I had an amazing vacation visiting the Outer Banks! The Mann home is beautifully decorated and fully stocked with anything that we needed. Plus there was plenty of room for my husband and I, our two children and my parents to sleep in beautiful rooms on very comfortable beds. We so enjoyed sitting and eating out on the deck, and our children loved the crow's nest! It was the perfect place to start our mornings with our coffee, and then end the day with a glass of wine listening to the ocean. We were also thrilled with all of the chairs and beach items at our disposal for us to use at the beach...it saved us so much time and hassle not having to pack them for our trip. We would defintitely recommend this home to anyone, and we do plan to go back! As a matter of fact, my cousin from Plymouth, MA is in the process of planning a Nag's Head family reunion after seeing pics I posted on Facebook. We can not wait to go back!

  Listing description was very accurate. The home was beautiful, steps away from the beach, and extremely clean inside and out! The deck was a great place for morning coffee while taking in views of the ocean. Owner was very helpful in answering all questions right away! We fell in love with Nags Head and also Rodanthe and plan to return next year. The weather was perfect!!!! Beautiful beach days (in the 80's) everyday!
