  What a treat to have come across "the Love Shack' on Vrbo to accommodate 11 girls for a bridal shower. Everything was perfect - the location - (so we could bike around to wineries) - the house - (something out of a fairy tale) - and Carole was also a delight to communicate with. The patio is absolutely stunning, also where we spent most of our time. (especially after our purchases of different yummy wines). We cooked some really good food on the bbq and took advantage of the fully stocked kitchen. There are so many areas that you can 'escape' on the property like to read a book under the cherry tree, relax on the yard swing with some tasty ceasers, or have a dip in the hot tub which overlooks pristine lake views. We definitely plan on making a return trip as everything was just pure bliss. Thank you for sharing a lovely little piece of paradise :)

  We had a wonderful time! The pictures of the rooms you see on the website are accuate but they cannot compare to acutallty standing in them! You will be charmed by the whole feel of the house and surrounding property. When we arrived everything was clean and ready to go - the whole house is well equipped and there was NOTHING we needed. The beds and linens were excellent and there was plenty of room for the 9 of us. Even though it was November it was mild enough to sit out on the decks and enjoy the peace and serenity. None of us will hesitate to go back. Thank you for all your help ahead of time Carole and again, thank you for sharing your house with us - Well done !!!!

  Running a VRBO rental myself, I know what is involved, and the level of commitment in this home is wonderful....HOME being the operative word! The decor was lovely, the setting amazing. The kitchen was well stocked with all one needs. The place was clean. We are so fortunate that people open up their homes for us to enjoy. It was a perfect place for my 50th Birthday celebration and the family to get together. Thanks!

  We enjoyed the spectacular views of the lake & endless orchards.This spacious but cozy home was ideally laid out to accommodate different groupings.The deck off the kitchen was a delight with the abundant grape vines overhead -delicious grapes ,by the way. This " home away from home" was clean,rustic & modern (at the same time)-a truly tranquil setting which was enjoyed by all. Owners & the caretaker of the property were extremely courteous and ever so helpful.I would highly recommend this property to anyone as a perfect vacation retreat.

  We had a wonderful time during our week at your home. We loved the charm of the old farmhouse with modern touches of new bathrooms and great kitchen! It was perfect to have little ones sleeping in one part of the house while others were playing in another part. The beds were so cozy, we slept so well! We loved the yard and exploring the swings, hot tub and cherry trees! Perhaps our favorite part was sitting on the deck under an arbor of grapes! We loved the views and it was so relaxing! Very near wineries and the beach make it a perfect summer holiday home.

  Two families of 4 shared this home and we had plenty of room! The house is lovely but the yard and the views even more so! We picked cherries every morning and soaked in the hot tub every evening. We loved sitting on one of the 2 decks enjoying local wine and cheeses and soaking up the view of the lake. It was a quiet, relaxing and completely enjoyable week! We would most definitely return.

  The photos of the property did not do it justice - it far exceeded our expectations. The house was clean, well-appointed and a lovely combination of old-fashioned charm and new updates. The owners were great at answering questions promptly and provided all the information that was neeed regarding check-in, check-out and all expectations. I would highly recommend this property. There were lots of different areas of the house if a person wanted to find privacy - several decks, beautiful grounds with lovely landscaping. The house is situated near lakes, many wineries, coffee shop and unique little shops. The house comfortably accommodated 8 adults and 4 children.

  I fell completely in love with this charming home the moment I stepped on to the property. It was the perfect location for a girl's weekend away, but could easily accommodate various holidays from romantic to family oriented. This spacious house had more than enough room for the 11 ladies in our party, along with a modern kitchen that housed everything we could possibly need for our weekend, a spacious dining room that easily seats 12, separate sitting and TV rooms, two beautifully renovated bathrooms, a charming sitting area on the porch, a large hot tub, not to mention the elegant furnishings and professional landscaping. I am already planning my next trip, I would highly recommend this property for any holiday!!

  I had my bridal shower a few weekends ago and there were 11 of us girls in the home. Not only were we all able to fit comfortably, but all of us girls were in awe of the cozy, cottage like feel and the amazing hospitality of the home. The place was very clean and equipped with everything you need to cook and live without having to pack all the at home essentials. The hot tub and BOSE stereo system was a huge plus! Great place and I think we might be coming back yearly for a girls weekend getaway. Thanks!

  Owner response: Wonderful that the bridal party and moms had such a great stay. We've added more bath towels to our supply so there is never a risk of running out during our turnaround day. I should correct that we don't have a BOSE stereo, but rather a good quality iPod/iPad stereo dock that puts out quite good sound.

  From the moment we walked through the vine-covered gate I was in love with the beautiful natural surroundings of this house, not to exclude the very well arranged and decorated interior. With so many comfortable bedrooms and open kitchen, living room, hot-tub and gorgeous views it was the perfect get-away location for a bunch of young women to celebrate their friends bacherolette. In this way, it is also in a nice, quiet location with Penticton only a short drive away to replenish food and drink, It was unanimous that we all wished to make this a yearly trip back to this house, and I hope many more discover it as a place to share their vacation with their friends, family or loved ones.
