Large 4 Bedrooms, 4 Bathrooms Cabin, located on scenic Sitka Sound, directly across from Mt Edgecomb Volcano. Relax in our Waterfront Hot Tub while watching for eagles, whales, sea lions and more. Otter swim on their backs watching you as you have your morning coffee.
With a large fully-equipped kitchen, dining out is not necessary. Cook up your own salmon on our large propane grill on the upper deck. Roast marshmallows and hot dogs over the fire pit at the waterside.
Relax with a glass of wine in our waterfront hot tub and watch the boats go by.
Enjoy your own private room and bath, each equipped with TV, with cable, VCR and wireless internet. Enjoy dining with your large group up to 10 in our kitchen, where you can watch for whales while you dine.
It's not unusual to watch otters as they float around on their back, looking up at you on the deck. Whales, seal lions and harbor dolphins can frequently be seen from the dock. Eagles dive for their breakfast right in front while you're eating yours.
Kayaks can be put in at the public beach, less than 100 yards away. The city bus stop offers inexpensive transport into town. Only three miles from downtown makes it an easy hike on sunny days.

About the owner: Hi Everyone! I am a vacation rental owner/manager in beautiful Sitka, Alaska where I take reservations for over 30 homes. I've been doing this since 2003. My husband and I have lived here since 1989, but are originally from North Florida, Lake City, where we have a cabin in the woods, which is also a vacation rental.
Why the Owner Chose Sitka:
Sitka is incredible. You have to live here to understand. Visitors mostly see the summers which are amazing with whales, sea lions, otter, and eagles, or and huge salmon and halibut, but the winters are even more amazing. When we do get snow and freezing weather, it's like a place out of a Norman Rockwell painting, and the lake downtown freezes over.. beautiful anytime of year.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
I love my cabin. The daily views of whales, sea lions and otter are amazing, but just the scenery of the fishing boats passing by, the aurora borealis on cold clear nights and the moon rising over Mt. Edgecumbe. All amazing..
