Location Description.
1/8 of a mile west of Camp village lies this beautiful, luxury holiday home. Camp Village is located on the Dingle Peninsula on the South West of Ireland, 10 miles west of Tralee and 20 miles east of Dingle. For those of you who golf this is a perfect location for both Killarney and Ballybunnion golf courses (PGA) - both are approx 30 miles drive. Old Head of Kinsale (PGA) is approx 2 hours drive. Tralee golf course - 14miles.
For those who would like less golf action there are multiple beautiful beach walks minutes away, hill side walking and for the brave of heart Mount Brandon (3,000 feet) the 2nd highest mountain in Ireland. Local horse riding is always a treat.
For those rainy days Tralee offers bowling, movie theaters, Aquadome (water activity - swimming pool and water slides) and Irish cultural shows at Siamsa Tire.
Pick up some local vegetables and fish from the local farmers and Fishermen and cook yourself an amazing meal in this custom built fully equipped kitchen. Should you want to dine out there are local restaurants and pubs within walking distance or drive to Castlegregory, Tralee or Dingle and eat the catch of the day!
These are only a few suggestions for your Irish holiday, my family live nearby and will be glad to answer any questions you may have.
County Kerry (otherwise known as the Kingdom!) is situated in the south west of Ireland, with 3 peninsulas that stretch out into the Atlantic Ocean. It has one of the largest mountain ranges in Ireland with lakes and streams and mile after mile of sandy beach. There is a huge amount to do in Kerry - The Lakes of Killarney, The Geraldine Center, Muckross House.
Many Americans claim their ancestors to be from Kerry as emigration from this area has historically been high. Cead Mile Failte, and welcome home!

My wife & I took our son and his wife, our daughter and her new Fiancé (he proposed during our stay!!) for a vacation to experience Ireland, and our time spent at this beautiful house made our holiday a memorable week. It is a full 5 stars in every way: *****Mel – the owner, made the booking process and planning a great experience *****Frances – her sister who was there locally to assist in any way *****Location – a perfect spot to make day trips to so many beautiful locations in Kerry ***** Scenery – fabulous views from the house and breathtaking vistas all around *****Ammenities – all the comforts of home - exquisite décor. The Great Room was a perfect spot to gather for morning coffee, and to relax and discuss the events of the day later in the evening. If you are in any way considering a trip to Ireland – book this house (it is so much nicer than a hotel or B&B). We are already planning our return visit for next year! Many thanks to our new friends Mel & Frances. Until next time...Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

House, weather, area, people were all perfect. We spent a great week at Camp ( a camp unlike any summer camp ). Frances was lovely and extremely helpful. Ashes Pub was the perfect place for a pint or two. Easy walk from the house, maybe 3 minutes. When my husband went to close the gate I know where he was really going !! It is a great location for sightseeing and golf and the house was absolutely beautiful. We had no complaints, it exceeded our expectations. I would recommend this house for your Ireland vacation. I recently had the pleasure of staying at this fabulous house in the heart of County Kerry. This accomodation far exceeded any expectations we had and while the online photos seem too good to be true, I assure you the reality is even nicer! Everything you can think of is provided for, every kitchen utensil you might need, hairdryers, laundry area, mud room... absolutely everthing is impeccable. The location is very convenient to sightseeing, golfing, shopping, or just to sit and look out of the bay window! As mentioned by another guest there is a quaint little pub called Ashes just a stones throw away and we partook of some pints of Guinness there where the staff were friendly and helpful. The owner of the propery, Mel, was extremely attentive to any concerns we had before our trip and the only negative comment I can come up with is that I wish we had been able to stay there longer! I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting not just Kerry but Ireland as a whole, go and stay in this wonderful place!! I cannot wait to go back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

OMG the house is amazing, we were all gobsmacked. It really is a fabulous house, The timber work is magnificent. There is few houses in Ireland you can rent like this. The decor is amazing its so well done, to the smallest detail. I absolutely loved it, its 5 star quality. I know the views are fabulous too but i was too busy looking at the inside to take much notice of the outside. There is every possible convience you would need. If you decide to stay in and cook, all imaginable facilities is thought of with state of the art cooking equipment, a cullaliry heaven. I think the owner is very brave to rent out such a fablous home but its wounderful for other people to see and enjoy it like we did. We had a lovely weekend, eating, few drinks and chatting. We ate in Ashes pub up the road and stayed there for the night and it was lovely. As always Kerry was fabulous too but its hard to go to Kerry and not enjoy it. While the scenery and countryside has so much to offer, magnificent views, lots of walking hiking areas, fishing, golf, beach's there is something for everyone young or old, but its the people that make Kerry and as always we weren't disappointed. We met some really fabulous and interesting people and had a ball!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We spend some wonderful days in Kerry in August and based ourselves in this fabulous house in the stunning Kerry countryside. Unassuming and in keeping with the landscape from the outside, the interior and facilities of the house knew no bounds. Even my untrained eye could appreciate the planning and attention to detail that went into the design and furnishing of the house. We ate fabulous fish in a number of local restaurants, which the owner was able to advise us about but the highlight really was watching the evening come in over the sea, while enjoying a glass of wine. The house made full use of the spectacular location and as someone for whom the sea view is an integral part of any holiday, this really hit the mark. It seemed to me that every window framed an eye catching sea-scape. Camp village is in easy walking distance, with a quaint pub serving food. The location is excellent for exploring any part of Kerry, we spent our time visiting the western part of the Dingle Peninsula, with its winding roads and pretty hedgerows. We also visited several of the local beaches, on which one can walk for miles. We would certainly hope to return again as part of future holidays and couldn’t recommend it highly enough.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

For anyone looking to explore the rugged west of Ireland, visit Killarney, Dingle, Tralee or go golfing and feel pampered while doing so, this is absolutely the place to stay!! Believe it or not, the pictures on this site do not do the house justice - every detail is perfectly thought out and the house is immaculate. I spent hours just sitting in the huge picture window overlooking the bay, drinking tea and staring at the view. The gourmet kitchen has every amenity you can think of if you choose to stay in and cook meals, or even just prepare breakfast each day. The bathrooms have spa-like showers and the master bath has a beautiful claw-foot tub. Each of the bedrooms is perfectly decorated and has beautiful skylights that allow you to wake to views of the sparkling bay below, as well as built-in closets with tons of storage space. We never had any issues, but the owner's extended family lives nearby and are there to quickly respond to any questions or problems you might have - her sister greeted us warmly and gave us the initial tour, explaining everything we could possible need to know about the house and more. My friends and I spent St. Patrick's Day weekend in Camp to get a true, authentic Irish experience. The house is situated in the perfect location - a short walk up the road from the village of Camp and within easy driving distance of much of the gorgeous scenery of the Dingle Peninsula. Our favorite pubs were Ashe's (Micko the owner was so friendly as were the locals! Micko sat and chatted with us each time we were in there and brought us a "midnight snack" after a few pints) and O'Neills which is further down the hill on the Castlegregory Road (Michael O'Neill the owner is a bit of a hippie throwback - check out the "Men of the West" postcard behind the bar to see what he looked like 20 years ago! - and even drove us up the hill and home when we were ready to leave!). We had such a great experience that I would absolutely recommend to this any of my friends or family and hope to go back some day soon!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My family and I arrived at this beautiful new cottage, not really a cottage at all, for Spring break in February. The house has all the amenities one could wish for with remarkable views of the local countryside. The place is decorated with great taste, warm and inviting and the perfect place to call home away from home. The owner, Mel, was gracious and caring for her clients and no stone was left unturned to meet our needs. The house was clean, and the rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. I highly recommend this holiday home, and I look forward to going back some day!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
