Located in Seattle, the Seaside Chalet is a three bedroom, two bath vacation home (sleeps six), right across the street from a waterfront park with sand beach, offering water views from living room, dining room, and kitchen. Pleasant decor, comfortable and stylish, with luxurious oriental carpets and relaxed seating, enhance this beach front home, complete with gas fireplace.
Within a 20 minute drive from the airport, and just five minutes from Alki, a four mile stretch of sand beach, as well as only 15 minutes from the heart of downtown Seattle.
The living room and dining room areas open to the waterfront with sliding doors, and living space is extended by a sun deck off the living room. Enjoy the view and sound of the waves from the front deck, offering a barbeque grill and plenty of seating with lounge chairs. Each bedroom features a sliding door to a private deck area with cafe table and chairs.
Three bedrooms offer two queen beds and one twin (with extra twin available), dressed in all cotton linens, each with TV / VCR. This vacation home offers two full baths, each with tub and shower (one off the master bedroom). The fully equipped kitchen offers range, microwave, and dishwasher (pots, pans, cutlery, etc.), china, glassware, flatware, and table linens. The dining room area, with view of the water, offers a large glass table, comfortably seating six. Cable TV, VCR, and DVD player, Stereo and CD player, Wireless Internet. Large barbeque and washer/dryer. Parking space in front of house.
Waterfront beach area, grassy park with seats and swings, and tennis courts, are just across the street. Just two blocks away is a much larger waterfront park with a mile of shoreline and a 50 meter public swimming pool, wooded areas, picnic facilities, playground equipment, and paved walking/jogging path along the water. From the park, watch the ferry come and go, or board the ferry and take a ride across the sound to Vashon Island, or beyond, to Port Orchard – the ferry dock is just minutes away. Also, it’s just a five minute drive up the road to get to Seattle's best beach, Alki Beach, preceding north along the water’s edge. Alki Beach offers miles of sand for building castles, beach volleyball at water's edge, kite-flying, roller-blading, and people-watching. Alki also offers a selection of great restaurants, from seafood / steak houses to fish & chips. Enjoy this vibrant area and take in gorgeous views looking toward downtown Seattle. During the summer, take the water-taxi across the water right into downtown. Otherwise, you can drive to downtown in 15 minutes, or take the bus.
