A short walk to all the best surfing beaches, a bakery, several bars and restaurants, The Surf Casita is a brand new home located in heart of Rincon’s Puntas area. The private home sits on the property with The Surf Break Main house but is completely detached with its own parking, Roof top deck and private entrance.
Upon entering the home, you will find first class appointments with a generously sized kitchen with stainless full sized appliances and granite counter tops. The open floor plan has a nice sized family room with a Futon sofa and chair. Relax in the family room while watching the 40” flat screen TV. Bring your BlueRay disks to enjoy a movie during your stay. Hi Speed internet and Wifi router sit directly in the middle of the house to insure strong connectivity. There is a full bathroom, a bedroom with two twin beds and master bedroom with a king sized bed. High thread count linens and high end mattress are also here. Plus bath towels and generous beach towels are also in abundance.
Just outside the front door there is a spiral stair case which leads to a large private deck where you can watch fantastic Caribbean sunsets over the ocean (look for the 'green flash'. Have a meal on the 6x top slate table with extra high chairs so as to maximize your panoramic ocean view. New gas grille and 'Zero Gravity' lounge chairs.
Rincon is the Surfing Capital of the Caribbean and Puntas where the Vacation Rental is located is in the center of Rincon. ALL of the best surf breaks are walking distance ~.2 miles from the house. Scuba, snorkeling, jet skiing, para sailing, horseback riding, fishing sailing and whale watching are at your fingertips.
Rincon is also known for power and yes water outages, to insure your stay doesn't turn into a camping trip the house is backed up by a whole house generator and multiple water tanks which will automatically take over during the common outages.

This is a great place perfect for two people and okay for 3. It's in a great location. Many beach options nearby and bars and restaurants. Neighbors are very friendly. Roof deck is killer!. Blender is in perfect working order.... Need I say more?Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, girls getaway.
Owner response: Glad you had a good time. While the house sleeps 6x that number is really targeted to a family with kids. For a group of friends we agree that 3-4 is much more reasonable.

Our stay at the Surf Casita was amazing! It's location is perfect- within a 5 minute drive to most of the best surf breaks in Rincon. The house is perfect for 2 couples or a few friends. One of the major highlights is the rooftop patio. We spent many nights up there hanging out, cooking dinner on the barbeque and checking out the stars. Craig was extremely helpful. He gave us a ton of info on all the surf spots and was available every time I needed to get in contact with him. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Rincon. Many thanks to Craig!Recommended for: Adventure seekers.

About the owner: My wife and I are relatively new to surfing but love the water and love active vacations. Our first home is in Northern Virginia
Why the Owner Chose Rincon:
We were looking for a place to surf and really were not up for a trip to California or Hawaii. While not a fan of San Juan we figured we would give Rincon a try. We absolutely loved the area and loved all the various surf breaks. 3 years of looking and we found our dream spot and then added our dream home.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
After staying at several places in Rincon we found that many of the accommodations were lacking. Old kitchens, terrible beds, plastic furniture, non working tv's, poor to non-existent WIFI and views that did not live up to creatively framed/zoomed advertised photos. We decided to build a home that would address ALL these issues while still being the best value for the vacation dollar.
The home is located in a vibrant local neighborhood. You are just a short walk to the famous Puntas Bakery and several bars and restaurants. You are right in the middle of all the best surfing breaks in Rincon. The biggest factor when building was to take advantage of the panoramic ocean views from the Casita's roof. Being able to have happy hour at the house and watch the over the ocean sunsets each night is just the perfect end to the day.
