My daughter (18) and I wanted to take a small trip to end the summer. We decided to take the drive up to San Francisco and visit friends and enjoy the city. I had looked at what seemed like hundreds of rentals, and I am so thankful I chose this one. Upon calling Rico, I could already tell what a nice man he was. He made the rental extremely easy and was readily available with all my questions. The apartment is spacious and gorgeous (what flat in San Francisco has a walk-in closet?). The area is of course the best, and for three days we actually felt like locals: walking to the coffee shop, grocery stores and restaurants. We had our car and were able to find parking quite easily. Everything we needed was in the apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon. I would highly recommend this beautiful apartment and kind hospitality to anyone staying in the awesome city of San Francisco!

In short, I want to live here forever. I rented this apartment for 9 days in late July/early August, we had 2 people in it the first half (me, female/late 20s and my mom, somehow in her "early 30s") and 4 the second (mom left and 3 friends from law school came in for a wedding). It was fantastic. Both Rico, the property manager, and Mike the owner (who lives in the other portion of the building) were extremely helpful without being overbearing. (Though Molly, the Portuguese water dog who lives next door demanded belly rubs) The apartment was clean and larger than it appears in the pictures (particularly the living room). We loved staying in the Castro. The vibe in the Castro is great and happy all the time but gets more wild at night. Though you are on the main drag, the building is removed from the hubbub on a more residential end of the street. The walk to the Mission District was super easy, as was the walk to Alamo Square/lower haight. You’re also really close to the muni which will take you anywhere and everywhere (relatively quick too, since the Castro is a pretty central location). There is a small grocery store across the street, and a larger one (Mollie Stones) about 2 blocks away, making this apartment great for an extended stay.

Fell in love with the area; the neighbors are warm and friendly; we're right on a bus line and the Castro MUNI Metro Station is just 2 blocks away. Everything is within easy walking distance so a car is not a necessity.
