This two story modern architectural masterpiece sits in the heart of Coconut Grove, walking distance to shopping, restaurants and Biscayne Bay. A gated drive welcomes you to the coral rock home situated under a grove of palms and stately mango trees. The tropical canopy shelters you from the world and creates a private oasis.
The main floor offers 5000 square feet with beautifully decorated living room with fireplace, television/sitting room, dining room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. The second floor open air pavilion overlooks the pool and tropical gardens and offers a majestic outdoor dining room, fully equipped kitchen with grill, sitting area and additional air conditioned bedroom and sitting room. The home is equipped with a built in sound system inside and out, WiFi, and HD cable television. The cabana set in the beautifully landscaped gardens offers another bedroom, sitting area and bathroom.
The unique series of pools and hot tub are situated in the coral rock foundation of the original home and surrounded by extremely private gardens, a patio with lounge and seating areas. A children's play structure is found in the secret grotto. Gather around the enormous cast iron firepit for an evening bonfire.
Built in 2004 by renowned architect Max Strang, this gorgeous home has been featured in many architectural books, fashion shoots, television programs, commercials, and the movie Miami Vice

The luxury compound that awaited us was nothing less than spectacular! A dream house that exceeded our expectations and muted our wildest imaginations. Stephanie and her management team were attentive to every detail, furnishing the house with every amenity you and your guests can possibly hope for. The house was situated in a great neighborhood with easy access to botanical gardens, parks and a short walk path which leads you to the heart of Coconut Grove. A walk path seldom used during our stay, as it was impossible to part ourselves from pool side and a courtyard that had you feeling your were at an eco resort in Belize. We stayed a week with 2 other families at the property. The house was absolutely gorgeous with plenty of room for all of us. Everything was clean and in good working order. We particularly enjoyed the upstairs outdoor area with bar, BBQ and lounging area. The kids loved sleeping out in the bunkie house. Although it is located on a busy road, you cannot hear any traffic within the home. Located about a 20 minute walk along lovely pathways from the heart of Coconut Grove. The property is fully fenced and very private - we didn't have to worry about the kids escaping! Great house if you want to splurge and enjoy the high life.Did you find this review helpful? Bali Hai is an architecturally stunning home in a location that is within walking distance to Coconut Grove center and an easy drive to South Beach, Coral Gables and Key Biscayne. That said, it is hard to want to leave this property for any length of time. The second floor covered veranda makes it possible to "live" outdoors - cook, relax, watch television. The pool and hot tub and little table on the patio are inviting during the day as well as evening. The bathrooms and kitchen are thoroughly and thoughtfully stocked. The lush grounds create a privacy that is welcome in such a central location. We spent three weeks in this paradise and could easily have stayed longer. The owners and property manager are lovely to work with and the staff they employ are top notch. Everything is in working order and immaculate. Possibly the best house we have stayed at and we have tried a few. Seldom reality exceeds pictures but this was actually one of those moments. Very highest standards all over and a marvellous eye for design. The best things of a luxury hotel at the same time as you have your own space and feel like home. We had 5 kids with us, two teenagers and the remainders 2-10. Still the place felt spacious. Everyone enjoyed the spa while the different levels in the pool meant also the little guy could have some fun in the water. Good service when we arrived (greeted with chilled wine and cheese despite being 3 hours late) and left despite the fact that we had to change both check in and check outs. Thanks for that. Bali Hai is far and away the most incredible place I have ever stayed, including hotels, and I have traveled a great deal. The pictures on this site, though beautiful, do not do it justice--it has to be seen with your own eyes to be believed! I went with a few close friends for my husband's birthday party (stayed four days total), and we intended to spend our days at the beach, and our nights on the town. Instead, we did not leave the house once, except to go to the grocery store, until the final night! We just could not bear to draw ourselves away from the beautiful pool/hot tub, the incredibly comfortable beds, the plush sofas, and the stunningly gorgeous yard. Every morning we made breakfast in the chefs kitchen (our group loves cooking, so we were in heaven), dinner on the grill, and ate every meal on the upstairs deck, which is just incredible. Do I even need to mention that the interior is decorated impeccably and the bathrooms are stocked with all of the fancy, full size toiletries you could want? This house is great for both kids (let them stay up giggling all night in the cabana, haha) and adults. The staff is very professional, courteous, and unobtrusive. It was nice to have someone help with things like chlorinating the pool and taking out the trash, and they were gone by 9:30 or 10:00 the two mornings they came. I literally can't express what a wonderful time we had. If you are on the fence about this place, don't be, just book it. I am already planning a trip back!Did you find this review helpful? This luxury property exceeded our every expectation. When we arrived we were greeted by the friendly and helpful property management staff who provided us with a quick tour and left a useful guide for the property and surrounding areas. The modern open concept layout was attractive, inviting yet very comfortable. Along with the hassle free amenities which made us feel at home. Very clean and well maintained. The outdoor area was private, lush yet still invited the sun in. Not to mention the pool and hot tub that made us feel like we were in a tropical oasis. We spent many nights lounging and watching TV in the spacious upper deck along with playing grill master in the bbq area only steps away. Excellent location only minutes away from the airport, South Beach and restaurants in Coconut Grove. Although we were very impressed with the photos and details of this property online we were truly blown away when we arrived! This property is absolutely a gem! If you think these pictures are great, wait until you experience the architectural masterpiece and tropical oasis when you walk into this....hmmm, how do you say...paradise. Our group especially loved the outdoor living space on the second floor. No one wanted to leave to go out! The property management was fantastic as well. The home and its surroundings was absolutely amazing--we felt like were walking through architectural digest! It was spotless when we arrived and there was a fruit basket waiting for us--such a nice touch. In the baths, travel size toothpaste and other toiletries were provided, which was really nice, too. We loved having plenty of soft towels, and the master bed was really comfy. The heated pool was wonderful--my grandkids swam twice daily! We truly felt we were in a paradise, and we would definitely rent this wonderful property again. Also, the management team was extremely helpful for any questions that arose.
