We spent two very relaxing weeks at Julie and Bob's home on Fresh Pond. The area is peaceful and serene - perfect for yoga on the deck or by the pond. The pond is crystal clear, warm, and perfect for swimming, rowing and casting for elusive fish. We ate most meals at the house as it comes quite equipped and food shopping is nearby, including Green Pond Fish Market and a little further away, Falmouth Fish Market. We also ate most meals on the large deck overlooking the pond (no mosquitoes!!) and loved our sunset meals. Falmouth salt water beaches with close views of Martha's Vineyard are only 4 miles away. We also rode bikes on the beautiful Shining Seas bike trail parts of which ran along the ocean. Bob and Julie are wonderful hosts who had a "tea party" set up for us when we arrived. New to the house was a portable air conditioner which provided relief for the few muggy days that we had. Usually the offshore breezes provided much comfort. The box of Cape Cod brochures was very helpful in finding restaurants and various Cape Cod activities. We had a terrific time and hope to be back soon!Did you find this review helpful? We rented several other vacation properties before - this is by far the best Cape Cod vacations we ever had. The owners are very warm and welcoming, they greet you on arrival with a home made cake. The house is very clean and well maintained, plenty of space and a kitchen is equipped with all imaginable appliances. Best of all - you are directly on a fresh water lake shore (beautiful view, so great to swim before and after your trips to ocean beaches and a real paradise for fishing). Very private and relaxing. We would love to go back again any time!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We stayed at this house for 2 weeks in July. The property is in a great location, very close to Falmouth beaches and the downtown area, as well as Mashpee for restaurants and shopping. We brought our motor boat and enjoyed water sports on the nearby ponds in Mashpee and were also able to access the ocean and went to the Vineyard. The pond itself is great for swimming, kayaking and windsurfing. We were attracted to this property because we were able to bring our dog, who loves to swim. The house and surrounding property is very comfortable with a lot of space (we set up a volleyball net in the backyard). Overall, it has a lot to offer for a great vacation.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

It was perfect for a recent trip to visit the Cape. Perfectly hidden location so close to shopping areas but feels tucked away. Can't say enough price was great, the owners are charming and hospitable, easy to access and we were smitten with their friendliness. The deck overlooking the water is really as alluring as the photos show. Can't wait to make it our little home again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

About the owner: We bought this house, because we were amazed by the beauty of the pond and friendly and quiet neighborhood. We love our house and pond, our quiet dead end street and our neighbors. We like plants, birds, animals, fresh air and water. We take care ourselves of our decorative plants, bushes and trees. We use only organic materials and ecologically friendly techniques. Last year we started to rent our house and we enjoy meeting new people. I always bake cake and set tea/coffee table and make a flower arrangement for the new guests. In this case people especially children and elderly relax and feel themselves at home faster. I enjoy swimming in the pond starting from May and finishing in October/November.
Why the Owner Chose East Falmouth:
Our area is very ecologically clean and healthy. There are forests around our place. Tall oaks, maple and pine trees create shade during sunny days. Our pond is a source of drinking water. No motor boats are allowed. Our house has only one level and it is good for children and disabled people.
The Unique Benefits at this Bungalow:
You can fish from our own yard. Last year the largest bass in the Cape cod was fished of our pond. People can enjoy swimming during the whole summer in our beautiful pond: no ocean storms, no sharks, no jelly fishes. Our guests can go home in their swimming suits from our private beach. There are many big trees in our garden. They cool air and create shade.
